I Bought a Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro (SM-g715u1) off of facebook marketplace. Upon initial start, it am told the device it controlled by an organization. I managed to disable the "work mode" but I cannot remove the Work account nor disable the 2 device admin apps which can remotely track and reset my device at any time apparently. The person is not replying back to my messages asking for a refund..
It came with "Hub" , which i did manage to uninstall but i feel like that isnt enough.
Is there anything i can do to block these device admin apps? Or remove everything entirely? MAybe a reflash if possible? Any advice is appreciated, even if its just to tell me im SOL!

yoooo! thank you! Im gonna try this.
well i cant flash, for some reason you cannot enter download mode on this phone. Seems like others have had a similar issue with this device
no luck with ADB either, adb reboot download just makes the phone restart normally
success! I was not able to flash but through a lengthy process involving wifi ADB, i managed to disable knox and therefore remove the work account bs and restrictions!

Which version should i flash?

was trying to root my phone using this guide
http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-root/how-to-root-galaxy-s3-on-android-4-34-4-2-new/
after following the steps i wasn't able to open cwm or the stock recovery i tried taking off the battery after doing the odin process again but no luck any ideas?
Try CF Autoroot (use search function).
If it doesn't succeed, flash latest 4.3 firmware from sammobile.com, then Autoroot.
I think im gonna postpone the rooting for now so how do I remove the failed cwm I tried flashing a stock recovery but its stuck at pit mapping
Also by flashing firmware (whole ROM)
are there other methods than flashing a whole rom?
are you using the latest odin? if youre using 10.x then try using a lower version which would of been compatible with your model when it was in its prime.
Odin v9.x or 7.x for example.
this is a good automated too with many option and much information all up to date within the program its for pc just connect phone via usb.
http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=1197
used it on galaxy s4/5/6 when ran into problems.
im using odin3 v1.85 and the international gt i19300 stock recovery do i have to unzip it first?
thats a very old version of odin. try updating. go to odin official website or search xda
Use odin to flash cfautoroot and you'll be rooted. Simple as.
Connect phone to pc via usb. Open odin, click pda, find cfautoroot file, click ok, click start. Phone will reboot, red text, reboot, Optimise apps.. Done.
You can mess with roms or recoveries to your hearts content.

Stop right there. You do not have the international version.
I believe you have the verizon variant, i747?. The international variant doesn't have qualcomm chips nor bootloader security.
Do not flash anything I9300 as you will brick your device so i have removed the link i gave.
The warranty bit has been triggered but it means nothing if your not selling it to a business.
The qualcomm security bit is basically knox but from what I've read this should stop odin from allowing a flash. If it does there is supposed to be a way around it but seeing as I've never encountered a usa device (i live in the uk) i cannot advise further on that, but maybe someone else can?.
Otherwise it looks normal and could already have the said security patched to allow odin flashes. Otherwise you're flashing via recovery but be careful, you need to confirm your variant first!!.

looks like i wont be getting root access anytime soon i don know anything about the variant since this phone was given to me by my uncle in dubai i hope someone helps me out with this
First of all check in the settings of your phone if it says it is I9300, if it is not, you are not in the proper forum. Then we can move forward.
it says model number samsung gt I9300
Hello,
As the title suggests, I'm looking for a way to completely backup my stock device without root.
This would include firmware and stock recoveries, basically system files - as I'm not really too terribly worried with saving personal data.
I've searched through various threads but I think I'm in one of those "in-over-my-head" situations, so let me explain why I haven't just flashed a custom recovery and made a nandroid backup.
My device is the C-Spire Note 5, SM-N920R7, running 5.1.1 - recognized by Smart Switch with no updates available.
I received this device in the mail today - because I somehow managed to brick my old device with the "custom binary blocked" FRP.
There is no stock firmware available for download to flash in Odin, and it was impossible to boot the device in regular or recovery mode, leaving me with Download mode.
In order to root my old device, I had to unlock the OEM in Developer Settings and flash the "Beastmode" kernel via Odin:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...rnel-beastmode-modified-stock-1-0-sm-t3196174
Then, I flashed a TWRP recovery and used it to install SuperSU - and voila! I had rooted my device.
Fast forward a few months... My battery died one day and it somehow triggered the FRP lock - with only Download mode available and no C-Spire stock firmware to flash.
Naturally, I want to root my device again, but first I want to create a complete backup of my device that would be flashable in Odin even with the FRP lock on.
So ladies and gentlemen, any help or advice would be appreciated.
I would of course, upload my firmware publicly so that anyone else using this device doesn't brick their phone like I did.
Did you ever get an answer to this? I'm in the same boat and want to do the same thing.

The only way I've seen involves capturing temporary files during an update through Kies or Smart Switch.
Being on C-Spire, that probably will not ever happen.
Maybe C-Spire will get it together and push out 6.0.1 OTA like the rest of the world - as well as actually providing an alternate (non-OTA) download method.
Apparently some guy on the C-Spire Dev forums paid for a ROM on a Chinese site that works with our phones - which would serve as a nice backup if he would ever upload it.
I asked him to - and apparently he contacted the admins asking for a way to upload the file to the forums.
After they responded to him, he must have never uploaded the file.
Hi, I am a newbie to rooting and I need some help to unroot my phone. I have a working Samsung Note 5 N920PVPS3DQK1 rooted with Magisk and TWRP following the tutorial on HighOnAndroid's Root Galaxy Note 5 Website (Simple Search should show this)
Unfortunately I seem to come across many issues with this root and as Magisk seems outdated I want to unroot my phone back to stock firmware.
I've got odin downloaded, usb drivers for Note 5 installed, but I cant seem to find the exact stock firmware for my device on sammobile, which gives me options for DQF1 or DQH1. My question is does it matter if I dont choose the exact firmware. And if anyone is familiar with unrooting please reply!
Running Android 7.0
Unroot N920p
go to android file host. Download the factory firmware, unzip and install in odin. Download 3DQC5 and it will factory update about 5 times to 3DQL1 the latest patch.

Super sorry for the late reply, is there any chance you can leave me a step by step instruction with a couple more links just so I dont damage my phone haha thank you!
I have a Samsung S9+ AT&T version bought locked from AT&T in the US. It is still stuck on Android 8.0.0 and not receiving any updates. None OTA and none by connected to Samsung app on Windows Desktop either.
* I would like to update to 9.0.0 or 10.0.0 if possible
* Current SW ver: SAOMC_SM_G965U_OYN_ATT_OO_78
* AP: G965USQS3BRK2
* CSC: G965UOYN3BRK2
I have tried removing the sim card but still said that software is up to date.. I have not tried to ever root the device or unlock it. Seems perhaps that the IMEI is bad perhaps in some Samsung/AT&T server that prevents the server from giving me updates (based on reading around the Internet).
Any hope for me? I am not good at these things but am willing to learn and try though there is way too much information so not sure where to start reading and understanding the root cause of the problem itself.
Its a easy fix you will need to download the update file then flash it using Odin Patched
Here's a video that will help out. https://youtu.be/SVhR0E9ACnY
I used it the other days when i flashed my S9+ Sprint running on Andriod 9.0 -------> To a S9+ Tmobile Andriod 10
I dont take credit on this but here is also a good write up
1) Download Odin
2) Extract the firmware file you just downloaded. You should get 5 files:
AP (System & Recovery)
BL (Bootloader)
CP (Modem / Radio)
CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will wipe your phone)
HOME_CSC_OXM (OXM CSC file, will NOT wipe your phone)
3) Add each file to it's respective field in Odin v3.13.1. Use CSC_OXM if you want to do a clean flash and HOME_CSC OXM if you want to keep your apps and data.
4) Reboot your phone in Download / Odin mode with the following button combo:
POWER + VOLUME DOWN + BIXBY
5) Once in download mode, connect your phone to the PC, preferably using the original USB cable you got with your phone. Odin should detect your device and a blue box will show up with the COM port number.
6) Do NOT tick any extra boxes. The only options to be ticked are F.Reset Time and Auto-Reboot.
7) Click the start button, wait for Odin to say 'PASS'. Once the flash is complete, your phone will reboot.
Firmware screenshots, changelog, and download links will be in 2nd post of this thread.

I used the firmware from sammobile as I couldn't figure out where to get the binary for AT&T S9+. Even there they had for BST, Verizon, Comcast, Sprint. I tried the one called USC and it seems to work. I got the one labeled G965USQS7CSK5. I am now on 9.0.0 and so far looking good. Just finished. Thanks.

Thanks, I decided to stick with 9.0 for now as my company doesn't allow 10.0 for their own apps. I managed to download something from sammobile and it is working out fine. Thanks a lot for your help!!
Good afternoon guys, i bought broken samsung S21 in carboot sale. It has a bronek baclight fuse, so screen was not working. I managed to trace the broken componet and fixed it. However phone turns to be a Patern locked as well. I did factory reset, but as i've noticed new android also require patern lock to be input or email in order to register device.
Is there a way to bypass patern lock ? I am not keen on any data stored in the phone or in samsung cloud, i just want to re-store it and keep using it.
I found a many tools online (Droid Kit, 4uKey ect), however all of them need to have paid version of software to use unlock function. Based on the comments in youtube videos, they look like they been paid comments (i see the pattern of the same type of comments) so i cannot really trust if the paid version of software will really unlock device.
Now is it possible to download new rom and install brand new samsung rom on this device ?
Thank you in advance!
Yes you can do this by ODIN tool.
- Download ODIN Flash Tool in your PC and download the Stock Firmware of the Phone.
- Unzip downloaded Firmware.
- Open ODIN and choose BP, AP, CP & CSC (not CSC_HOME) from unzipped firmware and Flash.
- Let the flash complete & You are done.
- Enjoy a New like Experience.

Managed to flash phone with Odin, however after reboot popup window appear:
An unauthorised attepm has been made to reset your device to factory default settings. Connect to wifi or mobile network to verify your identity.
And is asking for pattern code or google email.
Any chance to bypass this ?
