Sure, just go to recovery, start sideload mode and on your computer type "adb sideload something.zip".
It will work the same way as if you copied the zip on your sdcard.

[Q] adb sideload stop?

Woops...
Well, I was going to get a new rom for my galaxy s3 mini, I made a complete wite, formatting system/cashe/data, then I was going to install rom but I pressed "Install zip from sideload" instead of "install zip from sd card".
So, Now I'm thinking, I have a problem, because phone is asking me to send him a package, and I didn't even know where to send it...
In short I'm thinking that if I remove battery my phone will be dead until I can get a comp and flash thru that, so I don't want to do that.
How do I stop this request?

You have to remove a battery.
Sent from my GT-N8000 using xda app-developers app
And phone will be dead?
And followup, what's sideload and what would I need to use to send rom to the device?
Will a rom in zip format work?
Could I just send a mal package, like a font? would that take me back to recovery once it's loaded?
This is to use adb to side load a ROM or another flashable to your device, so the ROM would be on PC not phone
Open a terminal/cmd in the location of ROM on PC, then type adb sideload xxx.zip
(Change xxx to name of .zip)
Now it will flash ROM, just the same as off SD
Best of luck!

Sheeesh! I have DROID RAZR - the battery is not removable. The ADB can not see the phone in Recovery mode (drivers re-installation did not help). So there is no other way to stop this command at all??? PLEASE HELP a.s.a.p. I need my phone back!
Well was your phone rooted? Do you have a custom recovery? Do you have fastboot access? Has adb ever worked for you? Can you try another PC or USB cable to try and get adb working?

Thank you! False alarm. It turned out you can get out of that mode simply holding the power for about 5 seconds or more, and the phone will reboot. ADB worked fine from Eclipse just yesterday. Not sure why it was rejecting the very same phone in the Recovery mode.
Not as hard as it sounds

goto recovery->adb sideload
on pc: adb sideload "ZIP NAME"
That's it the phone will receive the installation package from the usb port, this is called remote flash.

Tried the steps set out by http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422353 with
no success.
The device can be rooted by enabling developer and select USB debug on 1301 device. Installing and running ADB and Impact applications in windows; .
When the device reboots it defaults to factory settings with no root.:silly:

Guys, KITKAT is out for HP 7 Plus. I had successfully rooted the tablet on JB with no bootlooping issues but lost root when updated to Kitkat. Plz update your tablets and let us all work together in developing Custom ROMs and Recoveries.

No, it is not flawed. When you flash the zip the first time in recovery, it flashes your bootloader and recovery. Reboots into recovery again showing received update-1. Then choose the zip again. You have to do this 3 or 4 times. Keep on choosing the revovery zip again until it says completed.

Bricked my One Plus X -- Need help getting OS installed

Hello,
My apologies if I've posted this thread in the wrong section.
I bricked my One Plus X trying to install the Nougat Nightlies update. I accidentally wiped off the entire data include internal storage so now I cannot boot or restore to the old image. The OS is gone and the phone gets stuck at the boot screen.
The plan was to install the One Plus recovery and then install the OOS3.1.4. I managed to install the One Plus Marshmallow recovery using adb -- the issue is when I try to push the Oxygen OS 3.1.4 image to the internal storage it gives me this error message
Code:
C:\adb>adb push OnePlusXOxygen_14_OTA_019_all_201611071506_03f73e21449d4d31.zip /system/
failed to copy 'OnePlusXOxygen_14_OTA_019_all_201611071506_03f73e21449d4d31.zip'
to '/system//OnePlusXOxygen_14_OTA_019_all_201611071506_03f73e21449d4d31.zip':
Read-only file system
I cannot run adb as root it effectively complaints about the phone being in production mode so I'm honestly out of ideas on how to fix this.
It was pretty stupid of me to attempt to flash my phone w/o prior knowledge of rooting. I just want my phone to go back to the older version.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Holy moly. The latest twrp recovery worked perfectly. I installed the OS 3.1.4 and it's working perfectly fine.
Not a big deal but I was just wondering if there's a way to switch back to official One Plus recovery rom without messing with the OS?
Many thanks dude!

Deleted Os via TWRP any help ?

I today deleted my OS accidentally. I download the stock rom and moved it to internal memory and did the advanced wipe via TWRP.
But when I tried to flash the new file it told me that the zip file was corrupted .
Now my question Is is possible to push the new zip file via ADB and what are the other ways to do it .
you can do it by pen drive (OTG), downlad stock rom again and try.
If twrp is working you can install your rom my sideload
U can see sideload in advanced menu of twrp
Just connect your PC and run sideload and on CMD write adb sideload rom name.zip and it will flash ROM from pc

install adb and fastboot on your pc
connect the device to pc and open adb (go to the adb folder and press shift and right click mouse and open cmd )
now transfer the stock rom to the adb file ( you can access the phone storage from pc if the phone is on twrp)
now in the phone twrp press advanced > ADB sideload
from the pc (cmd which we opened earlier ) write adb sideload rom name.zip (the name of rom should be identical 100%) hit enter
now wait for few minuts till its done

How to use magisk to twrp from 2.3.5 gingerbread without a computer?

How to use magisk to twrp from 2.3.5 gingerbread without a computer?
@Didgeridoohan
Do you think its possible to flash twrp from a terminal emulator? Or what are my options?
If you really can't get a hold of a computer you might be lucky with an app like Franco Kernel Manager, Flashify, etc. Problem is that most apps likely won't support or be compatible with that ancient version of Android or whatever root you currently have installed. And, you're also risking bricking your device if you don't have access to a computer...
I really think your best bet is to somehow get access to a computer. Friend/school/work/something...
If you can't install stuff on that borrowed computer you could create a bootable USB with a Linux distro and run everything from there. Linux Mint is quite user friendly, they've got good documentation on how to get things running with a Live Boot USB, and it's not too hard to get adb & fastboot up and running.
Ill try and get a hold of a computer because nothing seems to work on 2.3.5
@Didgeridoohan
I had rooted using framaroot but after a factory reset it wont install supersu or superuser to my app drawer, can you give me a suggestion? Btw im using my xbox one to type this.

Is it so hard to read posts carefully?
I found this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YAKGRblIuw
dd Install Method (Requires Root):
Download the latest image file (.img) from the download link above. Place it in the root of your /sdcard folder and rename it to twrp.img. Run the following commands via adb shell or a terminal emulator app:
su
dd if=/sdcard/twrp.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p9
What part of the command do i change for a yp-g70 venturi? Also can i extract my twrp 2.8.0.0.zip and get the .img out of it or can i flash the .zip?
This what i used to flash cwm/ entropys daily driver kernel
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1445840
su
dd if=/sdcard/zImage of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p11

Notice, that for Lollipop and up to get it running smoothly, you need a device with minimum 2GB RAM and at least 2GHz dual core processor - what since Android 4.4+ must be a ARMv7 one.

Thanks i had 4.4.4 up and running but tried flashing 5.1.1 lollipop on cwm and it corrupted the bootloader. Now i cant get into recovery because twrp wouldnt flash over cwm, i tried to flash twrp 2.8.0.0 & it succeeded yet didnt work after a reboot, why? I read the op but i still cant figure out why it didnt work after a reboot? Still remained cwm.

How do i flash twrp over cwm?
Hey... Look at that, you had some progress. Nice.
I've never used CWM, so I wouldn't know.... Sorry.
@chris1892006
Have you backed up stock recovery IMG through e.g. Flashify app before installing a custom recovery by means of CWM ? Do remember that restoring a backup will essentially wipe any changes made after that backup.
If so then
1. you can restore or flash stock recovery IMG through Fastboot to get CWM out of your system.
2. you can install through TWRP any custom recovery IMG of your choice.

thanks only problem is they only make a .zip for twrp for my device... I don't know how to flash it.
That's a really old android version, I'm not sure if it's possible. If you don't have access to a PC, try to ask a friend if they could do it for you, just to be safe. Trying to modify stuff within android, especially on such an old version, with probably unsupported software could result in a bricked device.
Thanks but I finally got TWRP and Lollipop 5.1.1 installed it took an ADB Sideload from a PC to sideload the twrp.zip file for my device and now I'm up and running and very happy to say the very least. Sure I bricked it 3 times in the process but was always able to recover using ODIN and having the proper files on hand.
Now im having an issue with xda on the device where the xda app wont let me sign in and the browser will sign me in but go right back to the sign in page again, idk how to fix it?
I install a dalvik cache wiper with root required and it corrupted the recovery again. So I figured out the exact steps to get this device working perfectly again. Firstly the twrp folder on the external sd card has to be renamed TWRP because it has extra strange characters after the TWRP. Now we know how to restore our backup, we can start by ODIN back to stock, then Framaroot v1.4.1 root the device then download entropys daily driver kernel cwm, the flash it via terminal emulator, reboot, then you have to install meticulous carbon 4.4.4 to fix the partitions and update the cwm to adb sideload the twrp. So you can then flash Meticulus Carbon 5.1.1 and both updates and 5.1.1 pico gapps. Good to go. Meticulus made the kernel overclock to 1.7ghz and it runs pretty darn good honestly. I modded the build.prop vm dalvik heap limit to 384m from 128m to get some extra performance out of it.
