R17 root - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I have an Oppo R17 and would like to root and build android ubuntu to replace the OS. I dont trust this chinese build with potential telemetry etc.? It was sold as Note20+ Ultra!
The custom builds is ALPS.L1.MP6.V2_WEG.L_P73 on android 10, Kernel 3.10.72 ([email protected] #1), Baseband ver. MOLY.WR8.W1449.MD.WG.MP.V6.P16.
How do i find the necessary resources at romdevelopers.com, or how do i do this the most simplest way? I guess there's no other option than to root the phone.
Thanks for any help!

Non modified version of the OS for BluBoo Xtouch

Hello,
I need to install a non modified (customized) version of the OS Android 5.1 in my BluBoo Xtouch. Because BluBoo provides a custom rom (I've updated to the last version provided), this brings me trouble to install some apps. Anybody know how can I do this (non modified version of the OS Android 5.1) ? Any support will be very appreciated.
Many thanks

Need help finding a custom ROM?

Hello. I've searched everywhere online but cannot seem to find a modern ROM for my new phone, or any info on this phone for that matter... Dad recently gave me a ZTE R84 from his work to replace my S5 which has a dodgy screen. To my disappointment it runs Lollipop. I would prefer it run more up to date software. This phone seems to be exclusive to the Spark network in New Zealand. Would some kind people be able to help me find a custom ROM for this device like CM, Resurrection Remix etc. I can't even root this device, I've tried everything.
Specs:
Model number: ZTE R84
Processor info: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc MSM8916
Android version: 5.0.2
Android security patch level: 2016-06-01

Need Help with porting a ROM

Hey guys, actually I tried porting an unofficial build of LineageOS 15.1 from Moto C(namath) to ivoomi me 3. I did all the steps mentioned in the guides and tried all the fixes but I couldn't get past the boot screen. I really want to port/build an Android 8.x.x ROM for my device as my device hasn't got any custom ROM and I don't think it's going to be updated to Android Oreo ever. I'd have built Android Oreo from AOSP source but the binaries aren't available as the developers aren't concerned about the issue. I'd really appreciate if anyone could help me with porting/building a custom ROM based on Android 8.x.x. Please help! I really want to be successful with this project.
The link to the stock ROM:http://www.mediafire.com/file/kel9xcxezn1dbob/Ivoomi_Me_3_MT6737M_IN04_20170901.zip
Device Specs:
Android Version: 7.0
Kernel Version: 3.18.35
Kernel Build Date: Tue Aug 29 2017, 16:13:41 CST
Build Number: IVOOMI_Me_3_IN04
Custom Build Number: alps-mp-n0.mp1-V1.0.2_vz6737m.35.i.n_P46
Help me out! Thanks!
what happens is that the Moto C ROM that you want to port to your device does not even work on the Moto C, you need a functional rom of Lineage 15.1 if you want to port it to your device ivoomi me 3

Amlogic CX S819 CFW

Hello Guys, I want to change my Android with newer version, because my Android box works on Android 4.4. I want to install newer version of Android like 6.0.1 or newer, but I can't find newer version on Android.

It's because Amlogic never released the updated SDK for that chipset. That's why it's nearly impossible to do it, unless you know porting and can scrape off things from similar chipsets.

Custom ROM for Medion Lifetab X10302

Hi!
My problemMy family wanted to throw away a Medion Lifetab X10302, which from a hardware perspective is perfectly fine. The latest official firmware however is based on Android 7.0 with a security patch level of 2018-11-05.
I'm concerned about security bugs and app compatibility and want to install a newer version of Android on it, in form of a custom ROM.
I'm familiar with LineageOS but any other custom ROM with a newer Android version would be fine for me.
I just installed LineageOS on an old Galaxy Tab 10 last night and on various phones in the past; I consider myself an IT expert, especially with Linux, but not an expert in custom andrid roms, rooting, etc..
My questionDoes anyone know a custom ROM I could install on this device and can provide me with a download link?
What I've found so farA thread here in this forum explaining how to unlock and root it and install philz touch recovery (I'm not familiar with that, but I guess it does a similar job than TWRP)

A post on tweakdroid about how to install LineageOS 17.1 on it (the version is not the newest, but it would certainly be better than the stock nougat ROM I'm running currently): https://tweakdroid.com/lineage/medion-x1030x/
However, the download link points to https://tweakdroid.com/downloadlinks/custom-404/.
A post on tweakdroid linked from the previous post about compatible devices of LineageOS 17.1, which doesn´t mention Medion at all: https://tweakdroid.com/updated-lineage-os-17-1-official-list/
Another post linked from the initial one about how to install TWRP on the tablet, again with a broken download link: https://tweakdroid.com/twrp/medion-x1030x/
The official TWRP website doesn't list medion at all.
The official LineageOS website doesn't list medion as well.
Same for pixel experience.
I found another thread on XDA which leads to the assumption that the tablet was designed and built by lenovo: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/solved-help-to-root-a-medion-lifetab-x10302-md-60347.3527239/
So maybe I could use a Lineage OS built for one of the lenovo tablets, but I wouldn't know which one.
The official medion website offers recovery images for android 6.0 and 7.0 for this device: https://www.medion.com/at/service/product-detail/30022739
