Sorry for the trivial question, but I cannot find a user setting to increase that.
Is there any on Android 11?
It should be hightlighted:
NOT the option - "Display / Screen timeout" which determines when the "Home screen" goes blank
But the unknown option which determines when the "Lock screen" goes blank,
On my Samsung with Android 11 the "Display / Screen timeout" is set to 30 s, however my "Lock screen" goes blank after 5 s . I want to increase that.

Ticket.
There is no such an option in the Settings of Display nor "Home screen" nor "Lock screen".
Ok, I have found the solution:
Open the Settings app.
Navigate to Lock screen > Secure lock settings.
Tap on “Auto lock when screen turns off.”
Set a longer time according to your preference.
BUT BUT BUT
when you have only "SWIPE" type of your Lock Screen Type, you dont have the "Secure lock settings" option.
In my opinion it is a bug?
But maybe there are some reasons that "Swipe" Lock screen MUST go blank in 5 secs only.

Hi everyone. I wondered if anyone had come across this anomaly, when my phone is charging, and it gets to the point where it is fully charged, the screen lights up to half the level, and a message says to unplug charger. Up to this point everything is fine, but as I disconnect it from the charger as it lights up, my "Owner Info" (Kev's Galaxy s III) underneath the clock on the lock screen, scrolls from right to left, three times, then stops! 1:Why does it do that? & 2:Where can access the settings to keep it going?
Many thanks in anticipation.
You can find the setting in:
Settings-Lock screen
You can change the ticker in "lock screen options"
and info in "Owner information"

Hi Coolhof. Thanks for the info, but I know where to edit user info is, and control the "stocks/news" ticker at the bottom of the lock screen, I'm referring to Owner info, directly below the clock in lock screen, it scrolls just 3 times from right to left, directly after the charge gets to 100% when I unplug it. There is no setting I've found to keep it scrolling. Thanks again.
I understand we can use the time out settings in security to delay pattern lock for say 10 mins. But i want the normal swipe lock for that 10 mins instead of having a phone without lock screen. and after 10 mins of non usage it can enable pattern lock as usual. Any help or leads would be so helpful!
Under the lock screen settings, there's an option called "Power button instantly locks". It might be what you're looking for. Disable it and see if that's what you want!
Try using tasker with secure settings plugin..... Or IFTTT......
Sometimes I like the second screen (when the main screen is off) and sometimes I don't. Is there a way to create a shortcut to on/off toggle "show second screen when main screen is off" easily? Thanks.
I was able to make a short cut to the second screen toggle settings page and put it in the second screen, but yes I'd love a toggle to quickly turn it off and on.
I have seen in a video of the Find X. The screen can be set to always on like the S8.
But for the life of me I can't find the option. Any hints?
Thanks
Well on the EU versions you can go to Settings> display & brightness > Screen Clock (right below auto screen Off time )
not sure how this is on chinese versions though..
Yes the option is there but it says "Screen clock is disabled when screen-off gestures are turned on"
Maybe it because I turned on double tap to wake hmmmm
Thanks dude
Yep. So it's either double touch to wake or Screen clock. But not both like the S8
Now to sort out how to get the apps in alphabetical order.
... although I do have a Screen lock in place --see screenshot. When I click on it, it doesn't turn on.
My guess is because the hacker makes me BELIEVE I do have a Screen lock on but actually I don't.
What can I do?
