Installation Instructions
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!
MULTIROM Support is discontinued! Use any TWRP recovery available for our device!!
Coming from another rom/clean install:
Reboot to recovery.
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache, data
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Updating from a previous build/dirty flash:
Wipe system, cache, dalvik/art cache in recovery
Flash rom zip, gapps and any other zips you may use
Reboot
Installing through Multirom for Oreo builds...
If you wanted to kept Stock as Primary & GZR Builds on Secondary:
Make sure you do Backup First!
1.Unlock the bootloader via Fastboot Commands Unlock Bootloader
2.Flash Multirom TWRP Recovery via Fastboot CommandTWRP-multirom-sanders-20171016-02.img
3.Flash Magisk V14.0
After booting into recovery, you need to do a factory reset.
Then reboot into recovery again.
Wipe System, Cache, Dalvik/art cache, data
Flash Rom Zip file and gapps
Reboot
Note: If you set Fingerprint + Pattern/ Pin on Primary/Stock then you need to flash a Lock Fix file on Primary
Lockfix.zip
Rooting:
Ground Zero ROMs are not shipped rooted. Flash your favorite root apps like Magisk/SuperSU or any other. After flashing, your device may boot twice before boot animation, don't worry it'll be fine after that.
Theming:
Substratum support is there as long as you have root and latest Substratum app. Some themes may have a little catching up to do, have fun testing them!
Reporting Issues:
If you have any issues, grab a log after a clean flash, upload and link here please. Add steps to reproduce the issue in your post.
Do not report issues dirty flashing this over some unofficial build or with some kernel flashed.
Logcat Extreme app is great as you can choose to start recording a log just before reproducing an error and stop recording just after so you log just the part you need.
Few Notes:
Xposed is not supported here, if you want to run it and have issues, try an Xposed thread for support and bug reports here only welcome with a clean install with no Xposed present.
Selinux is permissive for now.
Make sure to state which rom you are running when asking for support

You need to port the libs also.
Maybe for oreo first motorola should release oreo for us and give us the sources.
When updating all that is needed is to wipe dalvik and cache correct? Or if I don't wipe system too will it be a dirty flash update? Just curious thanks! I'm loving the room smooth and fast and stable! ?
One more question is there anyway you get the Verizon brand off the status bar it was nowhere to be found in settings

What is working so far (tested on X00HD)
- Booting
- Wi-Fi
- RIL (calling, SMS, mobile data, and possibly VoLTE) (dual SIM works)
- Audio
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- Automatic brightness
- USB (MTP, ADB, etc.)
- AOSP offline charging
- Hardware keystore (password, PIN, pattern)
- LiveDisplay
- Sensors (rotation, accelerometer, etc...)
- It's surprisingly smooth, more than stock
What's not working
- Fingerprint
- Camera and flashlight (still requires some work) (because of this some overheating and battery draining might be here)
- Notification LED
Note: Even though Oreo firmware works, Pie firmware is preferred, as I develop the ROM using it, bugs reported with Oreo firmware will be ignored
To install it, follow this https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...t/firmware-pie-firmware-updater-asus-t4124547 or install Pie beta before flashing this custom ROM
Instructions
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Unlock the bootloader
- If you use X00HD, install my TWRP build (you can find it here on XDA), else if you have X00I or X00ID, use aaaaaaziskurnia TWRP build
- Reboot to recovery
- Format data, stock ROM always encrypt it
- Flash the latest build
- Reboot

As TWRP gives error "Signal 6" when trying to flash, I'm listing the only way (AFAIK) to flash this ROM right now without encountering errors:
1. Be on unlocked bootloader
2. Flash Lineage 18.1 recovery (found at https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/clark-unofficial-18-1.4234777/ )
3. Erase Data, then Cache, then System from the LOS recovery
4. Flash over sideload the latest DivestOS zip

Yes, you can use the DivestOS recovery to flash but then the modem firmware won't be extracted.
This is fixed in chrmhoffmann's unfinished 18.1 branch as far as I am aware.
14.1 can be flashed successfully with TWRP.
Thank you for testing and noting it for others.

Perhaps you could cherry pick the fix from chrmhoffmann's 18.1 branch, which is I'd say even stable enough to make the whole ROM 18.1 if wanted (I used 18.1 as a daily driver since the bugs are 1:1 as on 17.1)
Anyway, thanks for this amazing ROM and thanks for keeping this device alive!

It is this one: https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_device_motorola_clark/+/304224
I actually did pick it, but it still wasn't functional under -user.
I had a patch to force recovery permissive, but I don't really want to ship that.
The 18.1 branch does look finished, I'm not too sure why it hasn't been merged yet.
I'd build it, but I don't like cherrypicking too many commits (for archive/reproducibility purposes), and they don't seem to be mirrored in a personal repo either.

I'd say it wouldn't harm to exactly include just a permissive recovery while keeping the system itself enforcing or, perhaps remove the recovery entirely from the site for 17.1, as it can be confusing for people who will not read this thread but find the site casually.
another possibility would be to include and post here a "first time flash" recovery here, in other words a Permissive DivestOS Recovery posted only here, permessive and intended to be used just to flash the 17.1 for the first time, leaving official builds enforcing.

I will make the recovery permissive next build cycle. Bootloader is unlocked anyway, doesn't matter all too much.
does its job perfectly TWRP lineage 17.1
He is able to decrypt this ROM and everything works, including starting the modem.

New update!
- Added OTA updates, who needs to upgrade from the latest LineageOS without OTA, just install this apk, in subsequent builds you will not need to install anything, everything will be included in the firmware anyway.
- Synchronized with the latest sources
- Security patch from March
- Added information about the build directly from the updates application (updater).
- Correction of sound volume in all speakers.
After the OTA update, Magisk flies off, be prepared for this. You can install the update on any custom recovery, even with an encrypted /data partition. Updates are seamless, they don't break the system, everything loads properly.
We also have a telegram group, be sure to join if you need help or you want to discuss something.
P.s I'm sorry, but I will publish links for downloading only from github, because it's easier for me, I hope for understanding.

Fruitful discussion, and successful updates!
I have been trying the ROM on my Redmi 9 for the last couple of days. I have to say that the ROM is relatively stable (slightly less than an official nightly release), and most of the features work just fine. Although, I noticed 2 bugs.
The first and most important one is that at times, the display stops working at all, even though the OS responds to the button presses. The only way to resolve this for now is to reboot the phone.
The second one is some occasional choppy video playback for video in 60 FPS (tested with NewPipe, I have to see if I have the same issue with other players like MPV).
Also, is FM Radio support going to be added in the future, or it isn't available on the Poco M2?

flash the MIUI stock ROM through the fastboot (12.5.1 global) after installing the custom ROM. Regarding fm radio, there are no plans to add.

I will do so, maybe I'll do a clean install of the ROM again while trying this solution. But won't it remove Lineage OS?
I don't have much experience with Xiaomi devices, and it seems kind of weird to do so.

Thanks for this rom. I have installed it an it looks good. I'm not using this phone, so I don't test much, but all seems to be OK.
Currently I have SHRP, LOS, BitGapps, Magisk 24.3 with SafetyNet fix and Props Config. Magisk 23 works too.
OpenGaps pico and NikGaps don't install.

NikGapps, BiTgapps and FlameGapps were tested and working tho BitGapps and FlameGapps performed better due to more up to date packages.
Make sure that you are using the latest up-to-date TWRP recovery, because older versions do not have proper support for android 12.

TWRP.
I performed OTA update. My recovery is SHRP. Backup/restore of Bitgapps failed. System flashing went OK and Magisk flashed itself correctly. System doesn't start now, after spending some time in boot animation phone reboots to recovery.
Well, looks like gapps doesn't cooperate with this version of LOS. I have tried NikGapps - flashing looked OK, but no gapps in system after reboot, OpenGapps pico - not enough memory to install, BitGapps - probably prevents system from update.
Updated the design of the post, updated all the links. The most relevant is now available in the post. You can read all changelogs in the spoiler.

On first post, when describing install procedure, you give a link to 12.5.3 firmware. Has recommendation been changed to 12.5.1?
