Is there any way to get past this annoying "feature" by ATT? I'm current on Red Pocket Mobile and ATT has the V60 blocked for Wifi Calling on their network.

I have an unlocked vibrant with 3G blocked by my retailer, and the phone is working on att's 2G network. I want to lagfix my phone(upgraded to froyo) but I worry that if I root/flash kernel/ODIN/clockwork would void the 3G block and being forced to join 3G plan.
So I wonder if there is anyway I can tell how it is blocked.
I have a Bell branded and rooted Galaxy S2. I noticed that the phone will not switch away from H+ even when it has no bars. I have tried turning off HSDPA completely by using the *#301279# - Change HSPA revision method to no avail (it actually doesn't seem to do anything at all, the phone still shows H+). I thought that I might be able to get the phone to switch by setting it to only connect through GSM in the Network Settings, when I did this, the phone got 5 bars of connection but it would not make any calls and said I had an "Unrecognized SIM" and would only allow Emergency Calls. My question is this:
TLDR: is there any way to fix this issue and get my phone to switch to 3G or EDGE when a strong H+ connection is not available?
Are you using a Bell SIM card? Bell doesn't have a GSM or EDGE network so it is probably connecting to the Rogers network. My Bell service has roamed on that network, but only when a Bell signal isn't available. If you're in an area where Bell has service, it probably won't let you roam, giving you the unrecognized SIM message.
Hi, I'm new here.
I own Universal Unlocked Samsung S10 Model # SM-G973U1 purchased directly from Samsung. I originally activated it on the Boost Mobile network and Ive decided to switch to AT&T prepaid service. I find out that the SM-G973U1 apparently wont utilize the AT&T Wifi Calling (Per: AT&T Forum). I was informed I'd need the SM-G973U.
I'm also not sure if I'm even getting the 4g connection (My phone shows LTE, LTE+, H, H+ and no connection).
I believe I have bad cell reception in my house.
If I were to install the SM-G973U firmware onto my SM-G973U1, would this solve my problem?
Will my phone still be an Universal unlocked phone?
If I choose to switch back to the SM-G973U1 firmware should I be OK?
Would I need to do the same if I were to switch to T-Mobile?
Would I be better off switching to T-Mobile?
Any other thoughts about this topic I should be aware of?
Thank you for your time.
Robert
I have the SM-N950U Note 8 (TMobile version I believe). I can use wifi calling with Tmobile, but want to use the ATT towers (via CC). With the consumer cellular sim (ATT) in, wifi calling doesn't show up as an option anymore. I'm wondering if there's a way to flash it to the ATT version of the Note8 so I could use wifi calling. Thanks in advance!
Bit of a **** show here, but I purchased a T-Mobile V60 via Ebay but was sent a Verizon version instead. I'm in Canada on Telus and so I'm not getting any signal connection at all and the Mobile Networks option is greyed out so I cannot add an APN.
Is there a way to get Mobile Networks unlocked?
