Hi
if I choose to get a OnePlus 10T and root / unlock the boot loader. What can that allow me to do? I owned a OP 9 previously but for a short time and did not modify it.
Regards

Im hoping to find out too.. I read somewhere that the bootloader is permalocked on this device.. dont know if its just for the tmobile variant or all variants.. I'm looking to buy directly from oneplus, not from carrier.. Where is your device from?

My device is fully unlockable from OnePlus, however I believe TMobile version is locked unfortunately.

Ok thank you. Did you have to wait for an unlock token from oneplus or is it just the toggle of the "oem unlocking" and a fastboot command?

I have been looking to buy a new phone but I need it to be able to support lineage. Sadly, Nokia 8 seems long off bootloader unlocking.

Do note that although there are ways to get your bootloader unlocked unofficialy, custom ROMs are still a long way from stable. There are no active developments for the P20 lite itself and the Treble ROMs do not support notch yet and are not stable enough to be daily drivers.
Hey Guys,
I don't speak really good English but I will try my best to describe my problem because I really need your help.
I bought a XZ1 with Version SOV36. The bootloader is locked. Also if I look in the Service Info via "*#*#7378423#*#*" it's written "Bootloader unlock allowed: No". I activated the OEM Bootloader unlock in the developer options but I don't think that this will have any impact.
I need to install any standard Rom without the massive bloatware i got on this phone. A lot of it is not deactivateable. I tried to install a custom kernel but i can't get into the bootloader. So I also can't install twrp or magisk or root or anything else. I found the device via "adb devices" but if I run "adb reboot bootloader" the phone reboots with black screen and a blue LED. No further commands are working or getting any connection via adb after this happens. I tried a lot of ways written down in this forum how to get it done but none of them worked.
The Build-Number is:
47.2.C.1.126
Kernel Version:
4.4.148-pref+

Thanks a lot for your help!
As it is the "odd ball" version of the XZ1 and the Service Menu says no to the bootloader being unlocked but maybe some one will pop in with a bit more info..
But in the meantime have a read over here.. https://www.liberamenteweb.it/en/gu...ed-apps-from-android-9-sony-xperia-xz-premium , it will help you with your bloat ware issue...
and have a look here.. https://forum.xda-developers.com/xp...devonly-exploits-temp-root-to-backup-t3795510
For others which may have the same problem:

Here you could find a list of packages you need to uninstall if you want to completely remove the AU-Bloatware.
I'm still looking forward to a solution which could help to unlock the bootloader but didn't find one yet.

I got a unit too recently. My tethering and volte is disable outside Japan. I wondered if it is an au kddi problem or my network. I have not installed bootloader on any unit for some time. It is possible with this model?

I have SOV36 with bootloader unlocked. You have to check if bootloader is unlockable. I hope this helps.

Try downgrading to first version of Pie for SOV36. I unlocked on when it was on first version of Pie. Give that a try.

I am trying to ruin my phone to anyone have any suggestion
This should probably be under Guides and Questions, rather than ROMS, Kernels, etc. There is a guide for rooting via Magisk in that section, incidentally.
Ok
If you're on the metro or tmobile version of the N10, you'll have to wait until you can sim unlock. Then you have to request a code from oneplus.

Will that unlock the OEM Bootloader Unlock setting?
I'm not sure yet, but that's what is implied by the fine print on the oneplus site.
We'll find out when someone hits 180 days and unlocks their nord.
Our bootloader is password protected, so someone has a key like they use for the tmob version of the phone.
Hello. Looking for a way to bypass the unlock token to unlock the bootloader on the N200. Without waiting, seven days for an unlock code from ONEPLUS. I saw a thread where they bypassed the unlock code for a TMOBILE OnePlus 7T. I have already used oneplus pure debloat to unlock the OEM.
Here's the thread for reference: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...hout-sim-unlock-oneplus-unlock-token.4154441/
Will this work on the OP N200? Or will I be stuck in a bootloop or fastboot mode if done? Thanks for any info.
DEVICE: TMOBILE ONEPLUS N200 SIM LOCKED
Looks like the OP of that post modified fastboot in the image and flashed it to the device using EDL? That's a really cool idea, but I don't think it's possible at this moment for the N200. No firehose afaik for this device yet. Don't attempt to flash with their MSM tool since it's got a completely different firehose, so it would fail before flashing ever starts.

I agree with @EnumC above. It is an interesting idea, which can be tested out only after MSMDownload Tool is released for N200. Till then, this cannot be done.
Please note that the MSMDownload Tool is specific for each Oneplus phone model. So the patched MSMDownload Tool in the thread you linked above will only work with Oneplus 7T model. It will not work with the N200. Needless to say, do not use the patched tool in the linked thread with the N200. Your chances of bricking the phone are high, if you do so.

Since you've already used the debloat script to enable oem unlock, you have already bypassed the biggest restriction, just wait the 7 days, it's not that long. Patience.
