Cellular issue after restore - LG V60 ThinQ Questions & Answers

So I have Verizon unlocked V60 on A12 and recently I unlocked bootloader and rooted. I tried to lock the bootloader then it gave an error message so only way to save it was to restore original rom with LGUp. Now phone works but when I put simcard inside, cellular network keeps restarting every second. Is there any way to fix this?
Edit: Solved after using refurbish option with LGUP

H818p phone problems after MM update when phone is encrypted

Dear community,
when I updated my dual sim phone H818p (AME region) via OTA to MM - version v20c, I realized that phone calls and SMS messaging do not work after the phone is encrypted. When trying to take or receive a call no connection is established and the phone app gets stuck. Additionally SIM2 does not connect automatically to the network anymore. Interestingly, internet via phone providers still works on both SIMs. This phenomenon is reversible, in unencrypted mode everything works flawlessly. Since I need encryption for use as company phone I have a real problem here.
I meanwhile also tried to flash the new version v20d which was recently released in Europe, but encountered the same bug with this ROM. Also resetting the phone to factory settings or flashing the ROM in refurbish mode with full memory wipe did not change a thing.
LG support (I have to use Middle East because of the phone region AME) is not very helpful. They only offer help if I send the phone in and do not comment on the issue itself.
In case anyone has similar issues with MM on the H818p (or other phones of the LG G4 family), please let me know, especially if you have found a fix to this problem.
Back to Lollipop
Since nothing worked to solve my problem with any MM version of the H818p stock software, I wnet back to Lollipop via LGUP - v10l. Very disappointing that LG apparently distributes software via OTA which has such serious flaws.
Update: I am back to Android 6 via OTA. Via another entry I learned that the bug disappears, when deactivating the SIM-lock and restarting the phone. Now phone calls and SMS work normal again also while the phone is encrypted.

Stuck in firmware update mode

have a blocked imei on verizon so OTA update was out of question for me. Well tried to perform the manual update through LGUP and it gets to 12% (on the computer, 2% on the phone) and fails due to a CommonDll fail error code. "Error Code = 0x2000.g_hDFCommonDll Fail"
also, now the phone is stuck on firmware update screen no matter what I do. Download mode goes to this screen, as does factory reset and normal boot up. Please how do it get back working I don't even care for updating anymore. Device is now either off or on this screen
Well kdz wouldn't work for me so I tried tried the rooted 11b tot file I already had and it worked finally. But now the probme is my phone isn't reading my sim anymore and imei is saying unknown.
how
i have the same problem can you trach me how master pleasee?
if you dont mind sending me an email that is very much appreciated

SIM card and radio problems?

Hey everyone,
I'm running an unlocked vs985 with RR 5.8.4 nougat. Just recently I restarted my phone and the SIM was not detected, I restarted a couple times, wiped cache/dalvik but nothing worked. Then I tried swisscarter's method of flashing xdadebs 3.1.1, wipe, flashing RR and gapps, flashing the 35b bootstack and then modem, still nothing worked. Now after countless retries of the same process, my phone has switched from unlocked to locked? Sometimes on refresh it gives the message that the phone is locked to a carrier(probably verizon), sometimes it simply doesn't detect SIM and says invalid network type(-1) in settings. When I dial #*#*4636*#*# and go to phone information, it shows my radio has switched to lte/cdma/umts, and if I try to switch it back to GSM it doesn't stick, just resets after I leave the menu. What's going on here? How can I set it back to GSM unlocked?? Thanks!
a lot of people are having these issues, check out this post https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/help/lg-g3-sim-card-frequently-readable-t3404106

Network lock with update?

Hello there fellows, i'll try to make my question simple. My uncle got a new phone so he threw away his old one which i took, its an LG V10 H901 its T-Mobile if i'm not mistaken, Anyways I'm out of Canada for a long time now and the phone is fully unlocked and runs on all the networks i was able to test, but its running android lollipop and i really upgrade to nougat, but from a previous experience with a Galaxy S6, upgrading just like that might lock back the network, and i have no idea if its the same case for this V10 too, as i am not in Canada anymore even contacting T-Mobile won't be that easy at all (tried before), so what i wanna know is, will the network get locked if i upgrade the Android ? as i'm going to do it manually since i can't receive OTA outside the region.
All informations are appreciated, and thanks in advance.
Edit: In T-mobile website where i enter the IMEI to see if my device is illegible for unlocking i got a congratulations saying my device can be unlocked.
- Also, The phone is rooted so my guess the bootloader should be unlocked right ? (Stock recovery btw). Now the weird part about that is that when i try to reboot to fastboot/bootloader from Terminal/ ADB/ Volume Down And USB/ Application With Root, there is no fastboot or bootloader i guess, i even found a similar post on the forums here but no answer for it too!
Now my guess that flashing the KDZ will flash all partitions and fix it but i am still afraid of the carrier lock!
In general, once a phone is unlocked, it stays unlocked forever as long as it disables the sim lock check in the phone and updating the software or doing factory reset doesn't change that. From what I have read and researched previously, the sim unlock status is stored and enforced via a certain partition on phone for example, in some phones it is nvram or nv data partition, the same partition that stores phone's IMEI number as well. It is not likely that you will loose sim unlock status just by updating to nougat.
But do keep in mind that that some of the LG V10 H901 T-Mobile versions have a korean motherboard where LG Bridge tries to update it with the wrong version of the rom bricking the phone, and people have reported here on XDA that even after unbricking they lost their IMEI info from the phone permanently and phone modem stops working.
I would suggest that you make sure which sub-variant of the H901 you have before you attempt to do any flashing, especially through LG UP.
I personally just bought a used H901 myself and was trying to decide if my phone is one of the ones with korean motherboard.

Phone displays "Network Locked SIM Card" Inserted after flashing a stock firmware

Phone displays "Network Locked SIM Card" Inserted after flashing a stock firmware
I recently uninstalled Magisk, and was able to only boot into download mode after. So, I downloaded a stock firmware for my s9+ 965f and flashed it through odin (using AP,BL, CP, CSC(didnt select HOME CSC). But after rebooting, the phone displays "Invalid SIM. Network Locked SIM Card Inserted".
It asks for PUK code to unlock the phone and the cellular service alone is not working now. My phone is already region unlocked and I have been using it for the past 8 months. Has anybody got this issue and any suggestions on how to solve it?
Previous OS: soldierx rom for 965f v12 on Oreo
What I did,
i) uninstall all modules in magisk,
ii) uninstall magisk,
iii) phone auto-reboot
iv) Now phone stuck in download mode. Cannot boot it
v) downloaded stock firmware G965FXXU2BRGA
vi) flashed through Odin(AP,BL,CP,CSC)
vii) Phone completely formatted and boots up.
"Error:Invalid SIM card inserted. Network Locked SIM card detected "
I am now being asked for PUK code or cellular service wont work
You need to contact your carrier for PUK code, its protective measure against too many wrong PIN attempts on specific SIM. Can't fix that with any flashing.

This is where the problem is. You put any sim card in that phone, you get the same error. The sim card works fine if I put in any other phone. I am not sure but unistalling Magisk has caused "SIM Card Read Error" in my S9+. I even upgraded to Pie from Oreo and flashed 3 different stock firmwares but the sim card error exists.
 @topjohnwu
I would appreciate if you can help me on this. Not sure how to fix the issue
Looking up the error message itself points to some sort of network/carrier lock. If I am reading regional lock and carrier lock definitions correctly the two are not the same..
Did you have the phone network unlocked or was it network unlocked when you had root installed? If the device was network unlocked when it was rooted and you flashed back to stock (which removes root) this might explain what is going on...

This is an unlocked phone. I had magisk installed and when trying to uninstall it to upgrade to latest magisk, the device wont boot except download mode. So, I downloaded stock firmware and flashed it. Once I boot up with the new stock firmware, I get this error
There is some sort of lock on the phone, which is why your being asked for the code.
I think you should definetly try was what was suggested above.. trying to contact the carrier and see if they can give you the PUK code. If I recall correctly you get a few tries to enter it correctly before it won't let you anymore (and it might lock the phone up good or damage the sim)
I'm having a similar issue on a Verizon A50. Any progress?

depending on what method was used to unlock it, its likely no longer unlocked. some sellers of unlock codes neglect to mention that part. im betting its locked again
