okay let's get this done
i have galaxy a10 (newly roooted) and all roms i try just freeze, ram is 500mb free though!
so it might be a kernel problem but i do not know, if anyone knows a solution tell.
so it turns out i've got to flash the kernel with the stock frequencies

Hi,
Is it possible to use the kimera_kernel_overclock710.zip on my rooted stock 2.73.405.66?
I have successfully used the overclock on the intended kimera 1.8 Rom but don't like the hassle of restoring all my apps and settings.
I have no problems with my current rooted stock Rom but would love to use the overclock to achive the linpack score of 3.2
I have also tried the lightspeed kernel but my phone stops on hero boot logo?
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
Anyone got any ideas on this?
Apologies for the bump! Has anyone got any ideas?
I just installed a fresh KPO stock and used Gslmt 2.1 as a custom rom.
See this thread for more info:

Problem I am having is that the shutdown option does a reboot in stead of a shutdown. Does anyone else have this problem.
Couldn't ask this in the Android dev part since I am new to XDA. So hope someone can help me here.
Still SOD and WiFi problems
This Rom still gives me the SOD problem and my WiFi is shutting down randomly. So I'll install a different ROM this weekend.
Tried then all by now.
Anyone had SOD problems and got the definitive solution with a Custom ROM?
Please share!

People have been saying the new kernel removed the bug. Try GingerReal, haven't seen reports of SOD over there.
As for me I don't get it at all normally.
Hi all,
Scenario: got tired of unstable custom ROMs, did a full wipe(/data/system/cache) flashed stock rom (4.0.4 XEN) for my region. After setting up the first time ran Odin again to root with new Siyah v5.0.1. Got rid off Vlingo using Apex launcher trick(or Go launcher EX).
Now I noticed tonight I no longer have any home button lag with only the above changes to my phone. In other words happy me. However I cannot find any suggestions for any home button lag fix in Siyah's changelogs while the Vlingo assistant with it's annoying lag was present at first boot before kicking it off with the launcher trick. Now this used to result in no more Vlingo but still lag when pressing home.
Does anyone know if anything changed in the Stock rom 4.0.4 or Siyah 5.0.1? Don't get me wrong, happy with the result Just curious.
This is just from personal experience of using my galaxy s2 and by no means an expert...
But I never use the stock rom (with the exception of gingerbread) because anything after gingerbread lags like hell on my s2.
The only reason I can think of are the bloatware from samsung taking up all the hardware resources of the phone, thus slowing it down. Whereas I find most custom rom "cleaned" up the phone and require less resource to run.
I don't believe there is a problem with the kernel but I can be wrong!
If you are afraid of unstable custom rom, why not try CM9 stable mod? It has served me greatly.

This isn't about bloatware but the delay which was programmed into the stock to wait for a second press on the home key because of voice commands/Vlingo. In 4.0.3 deleting Vlingo did not fix the lag because it was hardcoded in the stock ROM.
hello .. im using the omega rom for my galaxy s3 international. i was on v.44 with no problems ... and update it to v45 i made a full wipe .. and since i update.. i am facing a sever freezes issues.. i need to remove the battery every 5-10 minutes... any suggestions ??
Best roll back to the version that worked and contact your ROM chef for help.
Try the Perseus kernel. *usually* these freezes are due to SDS fix. Even though you have V2 of this fix, Perseus uses a completely different fix which may help better.
also, read the "ultimate unusual freezing" thread in General
v45 is 4.2.2 so maybe u did not wipe properly.
And also hope u do not install perseus before changing your rom to v44. Perseus is not built for 4.2.2.
Anyone know why some roms crash at bootscreen or after one minute it start? for example PARANOID from adamz working very well, but when i install the new kernel from him (p760_ASAPkernel_exp-9.9-O3.zip) the rom crash at boot, but not always yet. I think is a volt issue of the last 2 frequencies but I haven't a confirm yet.
