Weird MIUI 13 theme isssue - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I noticed that doesn't matter what theme I use from the MIUI theme store my phone, contacts and messages icons stay on this ugly white icon. (On a few themes the contacts icon changes but the phone and messages still don't) Even if I set the default POCO theme those icons still stay the same.
In the images below I posted what I should be seeing and what I am getting. This issue is displayed with the default stock POCO theme but this applies to any theme also.

[Q] [MIUI] How to change the square icons to "default" android icons?

I love MIUI. I love the look of the menus, I love the lockscreen, I love the statusbar, I love the browser, the music app. I just don't like the launcher. So I use Go Launcher Ex.
But I also want to change the icons. I want MIUI to use the icons that are in the .apk files, the default icons. Now MIUI uses their own themed icons, and a square around non-themed icons. I just want ALL icons to look like they look on a normal android gingerbread phone. No squares, no theme.
I've searched a lot on the internet. So far, it looks like this is the best way to do what I want:
- Download a MIUI theme (.mtz) that uses "default" gingerbread icons, and apply only the icons of that theme in the theme manager. I found a theme called "Android 2.3" (you can find it by typing in "android" in the theme manager - online themes). And hurray, it works! But only in the MIUI launcher! For some strange reason Go Launcher Ex decided to keep the square MIUI icons.
So what now? How can I change the MIUI square icons to the default gingerbread icons? How can I tell MIUI to just use the icons in the .apk files, and not their own themed icons? I'm sure it's possible, right?
Ahhhhhhh MIUI, my favorite rom. I've noticed the same thing....once you're themed, how do you go back? Default theme used to work but its lost its defaultyness. I found that "black ice 2.3" theme in the online theme section in your settings is pretty ****in close....give it a shot

Icons/Themes and Google Now

Hi, I have just updated my phone to B330 and have installed google now as my launcher. I have a theme installed which shows the icons as i want them to but when i set google now as my default launcher it changes the icons to ones with coloured backgrounds. I have tried to go into themes and set the icons i would like to use but to no effect. Hopefully someone can help. On B180 i was using the spectrum pure theme which seemed to work but now does the same thing.

Miui theme not fully applied

I need help. I just realized, when I applied any theme, sms, dialer, and notification bar still use the default miui 9 theme. even though at theme settings is set to the new theme. I'm currently using 7.12.18 from Xiaomi.eu.
Hi, did you somehow solved the problem?
I have the same trouble with my Redmi 3 on MIUI Global 9.6, theme has the dialer and notif. bar when i look at the preview,
when i apply the theme - only the icons and wallpaper change,
but the Settings page, the UI - stays the same.
Don't know why...

red icons not anymore

Hi there, so ive been messimg with some themes and wallpapers from the themes app. Dint quite like any if them so i went back to stock rog ui theme, heres the thing, my icons wont turn completly red when i turn on the x mode. But just go reddish, still can see the original color of the icons. What is wrong and how do i get back the full red ones on x mode?
Im not sure what the problem is that you are having as i can switch between ROG UI Theme (default) to Heart Stone Theme within the Theme App > Me > My Themes (Click Continue) once its applied i have all my icons normal and all show a red ring when xmode is activated.
I personally prefer the Black/Red theme through out the phone over the orange which is why i swapped to this theme along with it being a very dark theme to help on screen / battery time
Dont know either what is causing this, i tried to clear cache from rog ui app and from zenui launcher, switching back and forth some themes but to no avail

Google Discovery Feed in Xiaomi Launcher.

Good morning.
This is my first Xiaomi and MIUI experience, and I have a question related to the Google Discovery in the Xiaomi stock launcher.
Is it normal that Google Discovery in Xiaomi Stock Launcher to be always White, even when Dark Mode is activated?
It isn't supposed to switch to dark mode?
Another thing in Xiaomi Launcher, the application drawer is supposed to switch between white or black depending the wallpaper we use regardless Dark Mode is activated or not?
Anyone can answer?
Is this behavior a normal thing to happen?
Have dark mode in all system, just the Google discovery feed, in the left side of the Miui Launcher still white as snow!
That makes no sense if it is normal to be white when all system is dark.
And wallpaper messes up with app draw background color, from white to black, if set to follow system colors and system is in clear mode?

Click to collapse
Google feed for me is dark in dark mode. I can't comment on app drawer as I don't use it
So, I assume there's a problem with my MIUI Launcher, I already clean all data from Launcher and it's all the same.
White... In dark mode.
Does anyone have any suggestion, or know something to fix this behavior?
This just happened out of the box.
It came with MIUI 11 and updated to MIUI 12 immediately, so, don't know why this behavior and how to fix it.
I've already figured out how to activate Dark Mode on the Google Discovery feed in the MIUI Launcher.
It is necessary to restart the smartphone or for example change the icon pack or theme to change it, otherwise it will not change the actual state.
