My att LG V60 Thinq is carrier unlocked. I am on t-mobile with it now. Can I use the LMV600TM restore/upgrade guide A12 to change from att firmware to t-mobile firmware?

1. The hardware and software support VoLTE. Whether or not you can get the proper T-Mobile IMS settings programmed onto your Sprint G8X is a totally different story.
2. I suspect that by using a jig such as Octoplus it would be doable. Or even using the modded version of LG Up, so long aa you have the proper KDZ file. Until someone manages to unlock the bootloader and we can have at this phone we wont know for sure. What model is your G8X?
Now that we have bootloader unlocked .. is the sprint g8x a good option for TMobile?

I would also also like to know. Probably should have done the research a week ago, but I bought an unlocked Sprint G8X to use on a T-Mobile MVNO and just recently learned that it'll need VoLTE for voice calls to work after the 3G shutdown. Ugh.

Hello jdapp,
I was able to get VoLTE AND VoWIFI on Mint (T-mobile) with these instructions. I also posted what I did on Post 50. The files work for firmware 20 but if you need the ones for firmware 30 let me know.

I have a Sprint unlocked version and use it with Google Fi on T-Mobile towers and I cannot use VoLTE or wifi calling. I'm not sure about flashing it, I'd guess so, but haven't tried...
Greetings Geek’s
I would appreciate someone helping me understand.
I recently acquired an LG V30 + that in the system tells me that it is version US99830b android 9, but at the time of reviewing the IMEI on any website for those purposes it tells me that it is version LG LS998 Sprint.
In the hidden menu * # 546368 * # xxx # tells me that the US998 version is original
Not sure I understand the problem. If it's on US998 firmware, it's a US998 now. Most US998 being sold online are former something else. LS998 is carrier locked to Sprint. Whereas, US998 is carrier unlocked (SIM card unlocked) firmware and has fastboot flash commands. LS998 never got LG stock Android 9/Pie, by the way. So, the only reason you have it is because your LS998 was converted to US998.
That's what Frankenstein thread is all about, to convert other North American variants (Sprint LS998, regional carrier AS998, Verizon VS998, AT&T H931, Canada H933) to US998 firmware -- either temporarily for bootloader unlock or permanently because it's carrier unlocked firmware and designed to work with all North American carriers. For instance, US998 users get T-mobile VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling. If you want carrier-specific firmware back, you can install it via TWRP-flashable zips our Devs have created. But if you are not a Sprint customer, you do not want Sprint firmware.
I own both native Open Market US998 and former LS998 converted to US998.

In terms of performance and functions I have no problem, I just wanted to make sure I was correct, because there are two firmware versions on the network and I would not want a brick to step on papers.
Thanks for your clarification.
My LG V60 was an ATT version, and is now rooted and cross flashed to t mobile firmware. I tried getting the code through the ATT website, and they said they can't approve the unlock request.
So from what I've read online, a phone has to be on its original network for a certain number of days to be able to be unlocked, how does this work? Is there any way around this? Is there something I can do on a rooted phone to fix this, or can carrier aggregation fix this? (what they're doing here:
Enabling Carrier Aggregation LG V60
Hi, Can someone post the carrier policy files of the LG V60 LMV600EA version ? I need this files to enable carrier aggregation on my canadian V60. Thanks

Hi. I am looking at an LG G8X on Ebay and I have a few questions.
It is listed as model G850UM and factory unlocked for T-Mobile.
1. Does this mean it will be able to update to Android 11 (unlike the Sprint version)?
2. Is this version able to be rooted?
