I recently found my sisters nabi 2 and before I put in effort into rooting it but I wanted to know if there are any roms worth flashing? I know there is one that gives Gapps but since the latest version of nabi 2 runs android 4.2.2 with Gapps it's not needed. The nabi SE runs android 6 and has almost identical hardware to the nabi 2 minus the extra memory and rear facing camera, would it be possible to flash the Nabi 2 with the SE rom? Any help and response would be greatly apprecated.

Hello all,
about 18 months ago I had the courage to finally put a custom rom on my dying (support wise) TF-201.....first and only flash!...went real well!!...got a lot of "additional" life out of my prematurely demised Prime!!...Well I guess I being a little greddy..hehehe... I would like to go to Android 5 (lollipop) from my reading it looks like KatKiss is the way to go. When did the upgrade I did backup the important files using NVFlash....along with the Bricksafe, facotry-config...etc..IMG files
Can anyone provide the steps I would need to do?
also kept original JB 4.1 OS

I have just had a massive headache with rooting my LeTV x600, apparently there are different batches... blah blah, it wouldn't root.
I am returning it, and looking at the Xiaomi redmi note 3 32gb version. Do Xaiomi phones have difficulties in being rooted or are they simple and problem free?
I don't care about custom roms etc, I just need that bloatware off! my letv phone wouldn't even last a days battery because of bloatware.
Depending on how you get it shipped you may need to flash an official copy of MIUI, but my phone installed TWRP quite easily and rooted without any issues.
I think you can simply install the dev Rom and you have root ☺

Just installed an official Developer rom via updater

Thanks guys, I've went ahead with the order (through Banggood). I've seen some videos and guides on other Xiaomi devices too and seems straight forward... I don't have the technical knowledge or time as I used to when I had my HTC HD2, I need idiot proof help these days lol
Just flash this TWRP in recovery mode

I've had problems using stock recovery to root. I used Fastboot to flash, and others have used (but I haven't) WinDroid.
With a lack of technical knowledge, you'll probably want to try WinDroid first, as it is basically a skin of Fasboot that makes it more user-friendly.
one of those devices that can be rooted very easy
Hey guys, my mum just gave me her XZU after using it for around 2 years. She faced the annoying ghost clicks for around 6 months before giving up and getting herself a Redmi Note 4. Since I've gotten it, I want to get rid of the ghost clicks by installing a custom ROM and kernel.
I've already downgraded from 5.1.1 to 4.4.4 (14.6.A.0.108) and rooted. I've also unlocked the bootloader, but am hesitant about the next steps. I want to install Tommy-Geenexus' Zombie kernel and have downloaded b9 version of it. How's the kernel/ should i get another one? And which ROM is the most stable/compatible to run with the custom rom? I like the ResurrectionRemix Roms available, but most have some or the other bugs (I know the camera problem is there in almost every rom).
Hello guys,
switching over from iOS I actually looking for a good custom ROM to use with my Redmi Note 4 MTK version.
Since I'm new to the whole Android universe I would like to have some advice regarding the ROMS.
Or should I stay with the stock ROM and just update/upgrade it to the newest version?
Any help is much appreciated, thank you all in advance.
If you don't need Root, or Jailbreak called on iOS, than you will probabl stick to stable official ROMs. Also, you need unlocked bootloader in order to install most of the Custom Roms. There are few little more optimized Custom ROMs with some customizations, but it's not a big difference from Global Stable rom. And, you should'v bought the Snapdragon version of Redmi Note 4. Personally i have the MTK, but i bought it when it was out last year. I'm satisfied, but the battery is not even close to a Snapdragon version, MTK beats the SD one only in pefromance but for the cost of battery.
Yeah this was told me in another thread too.
Next time I guess.
Which source I should use for the ROM? Is that one with the MIUI or how it is called?
I also got permission to and unlocked my phone already.
i have a dragon touch x10 tablet that about 2-3 years old. recently updated the kitkat to lollipop which works fine. However id like to put a newer OS on it like 7.0 or maybe even 8.0. Lollipop is the lastest update for the x10, my question is can i use a rom like 7.0 of 8.0 thats actually made for a phone rather than a tablet. I have no idea if loading one of these roms would screw it up ot not, thus, im asking for help. Its been a excellent tablet and really wouldnt want to brick it.
Thanks in advance
