It really depends on the reason why it bootlooped, did you install a Magisk module or did something else related to root?
I had magisk yes ! But the most recent thing that I updated recovery to the latest

Lg D724, I rooted my phone to install twrp v3.0.3 something. I install twrp to install Lineage OS.
Twrp v3.0.3xxx is supported to OTA update.
But after I updated, I boot it into twrp to install adon su to gain root acess but something strange.
It only shows the logo of twrp and it seems stuck on it.
What do you think is the problem and any idea to fix it?
If ever, I don't what to format userdata or flash the stock ROM back.
I'm new to custom ROM and modding so thanks for the help in advance.

Magisk root disappears after about a week and it says magisk is not installed. After I install it via twrp the phone won't boot and keep restarting.
Any idea?

Have done it three times so far.
It's not a solution in this case.
wipe data, flash ROM
Just reboot your device. I've the same issue

the last time I tried to install Magisk (1642) on S9+ I got bootloop.
This is a known issue and Magisk's developer stated this will be fixed on next release.
So, how did you succeeded in installing Magisk?

I would also like to know this. The last update on the Magisk thread stated that they were too busy to address the S9/+ issue, yet.

I flashed a recovery then a rom after that I made a reboot and and got stuck

What you did it to get stuck on the teamwin bootlogo?
Even for me it gets stuck. I usually get it stuck if i use recovery option under twrp (for e.g. recover anything via twrp backup, may be my nandroid backup). The device successfully recovers, but thereafter twrp is no longer usable even after uninstalling and reinstalling it. The only way I am left out with is to remove twrp and perform a factory reset(but via erecovery) or just dload again.
there are 2 different twrp recovery, one is which work only with emui, other are which works with emui and custom rom (maybe decryption will not work with second)
if you will use second twrp what are treble enabled, then you shuld be able to use twrp with custom rom
ofcorse, if you flash wrong twrp, what isnt meant for your device, you will be stuck on twrp logo too!

Hi, thanks for your reply. I actually found a twrp that works fine (no decryption though, as you mentioned, which is a bit of a pain but at least it works). I just fastboot flashed recovery_ramdisk - sorted.

I am a happy owner of a Pocophone F1, but I have a problem. I run Lineage os, TWRP and Magisk and every time I update Lineage os I need to reinstall TWRP and Magisk (and the Magisk modules)
Is there a way that Lineage os updates not replaces my recovery and Magisk?

This reply is not specific to LOS. It is a general one. Since I don't run LOS in the F1, I am not very sure that this will work.
Don't boot into system immediately after updating. Instead reboot into recovery. You should boot into TWRP. From there, boot into system. You should be ok.
I don't have problems with updates. I'm flashing new zip and opengapps from twrp without wiping anything. Magisk reinstalls automatically.

I dont wipe either, i flash the update zip via twrp and after iets done and it boots i see that my twrp and magisk is uninstalled and i need tot flash it agian
As the title said I installed an updated version of lineage os 16 on my OnePlus One, and then flashed magisk 19.3 to get root access. However it's stuck on the oneplus logo since the reboot.
My volume buttons are dead so I can't go to recovery mode (TWRP) to wipe everything.
Any idea how to deal with this ? I really don't have the money for a new phone ....
