Ok here's what happened. When I flashed Nero v4, I rebooted into recovery and flAshed 2.2 stock kernel and jk6 modem without knowing that voodoo has been enabled. So I can get into recovery, but only the stock recovery not clock work. Also I'm using Odin v1.7 and Odin v1.00. Also when I put my phone in download mode Odin does not recognize it. By the way it sometimes recognizes it on the samsung boot screen. So what's the problem with this thing? I am SCARED!!!!!!
Btw I'm running on xp sp3 and can get Odin to recognize my vibrant on the samsung screen, but if I try to flash anything Odin stops at setupconnection. So do i have a software problem or USB cable needs replcement or another computer? I've already tried vista and xp no luck? Also I could get into stock recovery but if I press reinstall packages, phone will just reboot instead of going to clockwork recovery. For all I know my phone is 100% restorable but there's something going on. Someone please help!!
You need to Odin back to JFD (original 2.1 stock). Find it in the Vibrant Bible. Also read Odin instructions in the bible.
Turn on Odin before you plus USB into phone. When you get into Download mode (picture of Yellow Droid with shovel in Triangle) then Odin will recognize the COM port (i.e Com 5 ). When you see COM light up then you know Odin is ready to go.
Dont be scared, the vibrant is almost impossible to brick. You will be up and running in no time.
You may be able to avoid ODIN by doing this...
Since you can into the stock recovery screen, trying selecting "Reinstall packages" TWICE (once, then again after reboot) from the stock recovery screen to bring up clockwork. This is normal for my phone, it won't display CWM until I've done told it to show twice and don't know why. Once in CWM, either flash a kernel or entire ROM with voodoo support that you've previous stored on your internal SD. Don't worry, you'll be ok soon enough.
I was in the process of rooting my phone with Odin and using Clockwork Mod Recovery Odin flashable .tar file when I accidentally unplugged it while it was in the process of starting. Now I'm stuck on a screen where it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
In the corner of the phone it reads
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I717
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES(1 COUNTS)
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
I need answers.... Would appreciate it
Download kies and while on that screen go to tools-firmware upgrade and installation that should get you back to stock
Did that, it downloaded then proceeded with the update and never went through. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, it never even hit 1%. I re did them steps tried to initialize it once more and all it does it download firmware then go away. Is it possible the phone is bricked?
If you can get into that screen its probably a soft brick, does odin recognize the device in in that weird download mode?

S3 stuck in ODIN
OK I've tried everything and read as many threads as I could find. Here's the scenario
- stuck in ODIN mode
- try to get into Recovery mode but it just flashes and goes away and then back into ODIN mode
- KIES sees the phone and I can kick off a firmware upgrade and initialization but I want to try and keep all the data
- I've tried 4 different version of ODIN and stock ROMs from ATT, all FAIL immediately and now the device boots into ODIN mode with Flash Read Failure error
Any ideas?
I didnt understand werry vell but try this if you can enter recover connect your samsung to pc and pull out your files am not shure if you can do this with CWM recovery but you can with twrp then delete everthing (factory reset will keep your files) download offical firmware from sammobile or simmilar and flash it with odin
What was the last thing you did before you got stuck
Edit
I dont know will this make any diffrence but flas other firmware not att
My Samsung Galaxy Note 3 SM-T21OR is stuck at the Samsung Logo screen
The device was already rooted with TWRP on it when I got use the hard code to get into TWRP mode. There are no files. when I go to recover or reboot anything it tells me there is NO OS.
So I tried using Download mode with ODIN to re-root the device as well as completely reset the device using the official Samsung firmware from Samsung Mobile. Both give me failure's when trying to root through ODIN.
When using the stock firmware provided by Samsung Mobile the furthest the ODIN process makes it to is KERNAL then goes to failure. Here is a screenshot of the results: http://imgur.com/jmD3pLu
When I try using the custom TWRP root tar md5 filed I get failure stating "There is no PIT Partition

I am fairly certain the USB port or Cable is not an issue as I have tried several different ones.
Any suggestions on anything else I can do to solve this issue.
So, I had an old S4, decided using it, worked for a couple weeks, then it just wouldn't turn on.
I'm far from being an expert, I did some research and I understand that its "soft bricked" (not hard bricked, phew!)
It starts, you see the "Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500" screen, and then just turns off.
If I try the recovery boot menu, it wont work, it'll just have the "Downloading, dont turn off target" screen, without the Odin mode, and if I try the download boot, it'll go into the odin mode, which is fine and it's supposed to happen, right?
The thing is when I go to Odin, and try to install the stock firmware, I've tried with and without a PIT file, I've tried with three different USB cords, on two different computers, with three different versions of Odin and with and without the WinXP compatibility mode ON and OFF. I've checked and unchecked the "auto reboot" and "f reset time" boxes, and I've never touched the other boxes (like nand and flash and led)
Odin will always recognize my phone, which is awesome, I always see the message "Added!"
Once I run Odin, which by the way is a picky a** motherf****, it'll stay stuck always here
""There is no PIT partition""
And also it has gotten stuck here
"Complete(Write) operation failed."
"Get pit for mapping (this was the most frequent one until I just always got the first one)"
"SetupConnection.."
This is getting extremely annoying.
I am almost positive I have the correct stock firmware, I got it from the samsung-updates.com website I downloaded the 5.0.1 version, I am curently downloading the 4.4.2 version, just to see what happens.
I do not know what the hell is a PIT file, I am using an "adonis" whatever that I found on some forum.
I also tried to "install" the recovery menu, with a "Philz Touch" TAR MD5 file I found, but I have no idea what that is (also, it didn't work)
Just to double check with you, its a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500, I do not know which version of android was running, also, i do not know if USB debugging is on or off.
PLEASE HELP!
