Question quick easy android 13 install? - Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite

hi
just got a SM-T225 via o2 in UK
It came with android 11 & one ui 3.1 and I've successfully unlocked the bootloader
what's the best way to get an android 13 build installed? I want a 'vanilla experience' if I can, I don't want Samsung apps but I can uninstall then with adb if necessary
I tried to update to android 13 but now it says FAILED, 'your tablet's operating system has been modified in an unauthorised way'
looks like I can get version T225XXU1CVL5 from samfw so is there a quick/dirty way to install that?
thanks!

If you want a truly vanilla AOSP experience, you can follow my guide here to install an AOSP GSI.
Otherwise, if you're simply seeking to install stock Samsung A13 firmware, use Odin.

ok thanks for the reply
I'm on linux and I see there is a command line version available
Example :
$odin4 -b BL_XXXX.tar.md5 -a AP_XXXX.tar.md5 -c CP_XXXX.tar.md5 -s CSC_XXXX.tar.md5
BUT in the firmware download there is also a HOME_CSC_xxxxx file, do I need to do anything with that one?
cheers

If you're doing a clean flash and want to wipe data, use the CSC_xxxxx file. The HOME_CSC_xxxxx is when you're already on Samsung firmware and want to upgrade, as it does not wipe user data. As long as you never installed a custom ROM and are simply trying to upgrade the stock firmware, you can use HOME_CSC. It is still advisable to do a clean flash, however, just to prevent any issues with residual leftovers from older firmware.

quick follow up, odin4 on linux worked a treat
I was on T225XXU1AVE1 & updated like this following download from sam.fw
./odin4 -b BL_T225XXU1CVL5_T225XXU1CVL5_MQB60236739_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 -a AP_T225XXU1CVL5_T225XXU1CVL5_MQB60236739_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta_RKEY_OS13.tar.md5 -c CP_T225XXU1CVL5_CP23421020_MQB60236739_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 -s CSC_OXM_T225OXM1CVL5_MQB60236739_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
looking to debloat the samsung carp now
thanks again @V0latyle

Hi V0latyle,
I'm in the same situation as punteruk. I just unlocked the A7 Lite (T220) that came with Android 11 and now want to flash Android 13.
I downloaded Android 13 for my region from samfw.com. Specifically, this one: https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-T220/XAC/T220XXU1CVL7. The ZIP file only has AP, BL, CSC and HOME_CSC. Is it okay to flash?

How is stock One UI with Android 13? I would probably prefer an AOSP/LOS build, but I've never used a GSI build before. Any limitations with using a GSI build?

I don't think it is, custom roms don't touch modem etc
I'd like to know this too.
Recently, I lost my modem when I was playing around with my phone on CM. So I restored stock (latest version from here, and I additionally got an OTA after this about the hotfix again, IDK why, but I installed that too!) and saved the modem using Partitions Backup & Restore. Here are the img files, you may use them to restore using that very app (ROOT required).
The device is the E1003 OPX (Asia version, bought from Amazon India), and the Baseband version as stated in Settings -> About Phone is .4.0.1.c7-00013-M8974AAAAANAZM-1
Download link : https://github.com/Rijul-Ahuja/OPX-E1003-Modem
To download, click on the filename, click on View Raw. Your browser will start downloading it. In case that does not work, right click on View Raw and click on Save Link As...

Were you on android 7.0 before installing? If so that's why and you'll have to flash stock android 7.0. Unless I've missed something there's no way to downgrade and no way to flash that ROM on the new bootloader in android 7.0

I'm not sure then if you were on android 6.0.1, it seems someone is having a similar issue on the original thread, I'd ask there. Perhaps it's a problem with a certain version of the ROM.
How can I check the previous version of android ?

Need 9.2.15+ dev firmware without flashing whole room.

So after checking the Xiaomi firmware site (didn't work, flashing the weekly firmware just appeared as stable) I haven't been able to get the developer firmware.
Does anybody know where I can get a hold of it without the MIUI ROM.
(It's needed for the latest Pixel Experience update and it isn't included with the update)
Title is meant to say MIUI ROM not room, autocorrect sorry.

Always go here for latest vendor firmwares
https://mirror.akhilnarang.me/MIUI/beryllium/
and never use beryllium-V10.1.3.0-9.0-vendor-firmware.zip - this is an older version, even though the version number is higher than 9.

Good luck with your project ?
[ i'm noob ] Does orange fox recovery working properly on miui 11 ? Unfortunately,i was update my riva to miui 11,succed to unlock bootloader but not with twrp, when i was flash twrp via fastboot, twrp just show up red screen then dim to black screen & only vibrate when touched. I was forgot to add command delete recovery from fastboot, before flashing twrp. Please help, any suggest to proper twrp at stock miui 11 global stable ? Sorry for bed english.
Not work properly when downgrade from MIUI 11 Oreo, now i experience messed up with stock miui rom,try to reverse back with flash full recovery rom from twrp, succed to flash, but when boot into setup wizard, error message appear,eg; "miui daemon has stopped, under that pop up,again error pop up "google service framework has stopped" > "xiaomi service framework has stopped" > "setting has stopped" & bla...bla..bla...! I can't pass setting wizzard, can't continue to normal screen. Then i flash pixel xperience rom 9.0,flawlessly boot until setting wizard done, run smoothly without error. Usually i like to change between custom then stock rom from twrp when i was bored with 1 rom. But now i'm stuck on pixel experience 9.0 (caf) & no twrp working properly when want to flash stock miui oreo.

I got a customer who wants to downgrade from Android 10 to 8. I know Samsung has anti-downgrade protection and you can't flash older firmware using Odin.
What about rooting the phone first though and flashing the Android 8 firmware using TWRP? Wouldn't that work?

I'm speaking strictly about running Android 8, not downgrading. So this method of downgrading to Oreo probably won't help you on your problem
