Friends, I need help. I made a big mistake, I updated my Touch Android (that looks like IPAD), who was with the version 1.8.2 to version 1.3 of the M100 to solve the problem of not having access to Android Market.
The problem now is that version 1.3 is not compatible with the buttons on my device and I can not get into the OS, and worst, is no longer accepting upgrades to the old version (1.8.2) by the method of the directory (script).
Does anyone have any tips on how to upgrade this version? or how to force an update?
When I turn on the device with the SD directory and the script is the same symbol on the screen of Android and not updates.
I appreciate the help.
Hi All,
This is my first post and this tablet is also my first introduction to the world of Android.
I recently bought the following 7" Android tablet:
w w w .lightinthebox.com/7-inch-multi-touch-screen-tablet-hd-dual-core-1-6-ghz-android-4-1-1_p494283.html
I received this tablet yesterday and set about learning my way around Android 4.1.1 and installing various apps. Now I know what you're thinking, that this tablet is a cheap Chinese tablet and I shouldn't be expecting outstanding performance and reliability but I'm sure the following symptoms are of an OS nature as opposed to hardware.
I started just using the apps that came on the device, the browsers, the video player, the play store, etc. and started to get random resets and freezes on the device. After a bit more playing I found that when running the Android browser on the OS it was auto installing Flash Player which I've read can cause stability issues on Jelly Bean. I uninstalled Flash and stopped using the default browser in favour of Chrome as that didn't auto install flash. Since doing this the OS has been a lot more stable but not brilliant. This morning alone it has crashed on me twice viewing google images in chrome. When I say "crash" I mean it reboots and I see the "Android" logo.
Are there any known issues on Jelly Bean 4.1.1 causing instability or is it a case of I have to live with it on this cheap tab? Are there any hints, tips, admin tools, or configuration changes I can do to improve performance? If the recommendation is to rip off this OS and put on another I don't mind giving that a go as this is becoming a bit annoying.
My about page on the device reads as follows:
Model Number - Tab70s
Android Version - 4.1.1
Kernel Version - 3.0.8+
Build Number - RK30_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00
Any help is gratefully appreciated.

I'm trying a few different things. Swapped browser to Opera but I have now had a crash when in the play store so I'm trying Nova Launcher instead of the standard Android launcher. So far it appears to be a bit more stable. No crashes as of yet but the pessimist in me says I've not seen the back of this issue yet.
After a bit more research and trying to decipher the Chinese writing on my tablet it appears I have a "Yuandao N70S" tablet but I'm struggling to find much info on these at all.
Anyone?

On my non name tabel with the "RK30_ANDROID4.1.1" image, I can get to the recovery by:
1. unplug the charging power (I can't get the next step to work with the power pluged in).
2. turning it off and the press the vol+ and power button. That will show the android robot laying down with the belly open and a red ! mark
3. after 10-15 seconds I am able to press vol- and power button to get to the recovery menu.
The navigation keys there is vol+/vol- and power, but the vol+/vol- key is very sluggies, so I keep them pressed for approx. 2 sec and the when I release it, the highlighted menu line will shift.
There is a "wipe data/factory reset" menu item, but I have never tried selecting that, so don't blame me for any briking
Hope it helps...
Try to find a cm10.1 that works in your device. It's much better than the stock roms from rockchip.
my tablet specs.:
noname, 7", RK2918 Cortex A8, 512 MB DRR3, 4 GB, mini HDMI, mini USB, SD Card (external), camera 1 (front), wireless and audio from realtek, no bluetooth.
buttons: volume up and down, on/off, reset
original OS: Android Gingerbread 2.3.1
mainboard: M732HR_V1.2 20110921 (from PCB)
(updates made from external sd-card with "update.img", also supports flashing with RKFlash tools via usb)

mtd table from original update.img:

needed a firmware (stock or custom) to be able to use some apps etc, so i flashed the one given here:
RK2918 Tab Odys-Loox rocks with CyanogenMod 10 / 10.1!
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012654, beta build - v1.2)
after flashing completed, tablet hard bricked. no screen, nothing (even backlight of screen not working, so it is not a "black screen of death" but instead "death" only i guess  , though it reacts on charging with led)
anyone have any idea about what happened or how to recover it?
ps. atm i work on "29-30 pin shorted" thing (http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/41388-unbrick-instructions/) but not sure if it will work for me yet.
update
I was able to de-brick it (couldnt use "short 29-30 pins" thing, chips had a metal cover over them soldered to mainboard, I used reset button with volume buttons, I pushed them like crazy alot of times and somehow got rockchip usb flash state for once then re-flashed stock rom (I had rom-dump files and original "update.img"), it is working now with stock rom.
continued as follows:
1) Tried alot of other roms from similar tablets, some just stays at android screen, some works with corrupt graphics, etc
2) Oma_Odys_Loox_JB_CM10_4.1.2_v1.2 = killed the tab, debricked by luck
3) Oma_Odys_Loox_JB_4.1.1_v1.2.1a (with Oma_extSD_to_NAND_OTG_fix) = works till welcome screen, but touchpad not working so i couldnt check the system further more
4) Oma - Odys Loox GB 2.3.1 v1.3a = touchpad not working, and graphics weird (low color depth+some minor glitches on image), just waiting at main screen cause of touchpad, adb shell works (with root)
5) flashed original kernel over Oma - Odys Loox GB 2.3.1 v1.3a, screen resolution, color depth fine now, touchpad working too, but have problem with sensor, left-right or up-down shifted up to tablet position, trying to fix it
6) activated "ro.sf.hwrotation=270" in build.prop, sensor fine now. Only problem left is touch screen Y axis inverted
7) still working on Y axis issue, but weird thing is calibration works correctly, no inverted axis! and succesfull. but then I have to click upside for something downside or downside for something upside.
8) darn. it is not up or down. it becomes left or right if flip tablet to 1 side.
9) i decided that problem is about touch-driver and i dont have enough knowledge to fix it. left over tablet with factory rom, working but ehhh.
note:
thx to Oma7144, i learned few things from his/her posts, i try to find thx button now xD
Hi
I have purchased a tablet that was sold with a problem of freezing occasionally. It was sold as a M009s ( no other info or box ).
It booted up and worked faultlessly for a short time and then sure enough it froze, I shut it down with the power button and it froze on boot up screen.
It occasionally booted up and worked OK but froze more often than not on either boot up or when in use.
There appears to be no info on the tablet as to its make so I checked specs on my tablet info and opened it up and got this info from inside.
My tablet info - Motoroler / Droid 2 Global - Android 4.0.3 Eng Snake 20120116.191929 SDK 15
- 800x480 dpi / Ram 448 / Flash 8GB / 1 core Arm v7 rev2 (V71) Exdroid / 1008Mhz
Main chip - All winner A10 c5036ca
Main board - Topwise A721-v4.2.0 ( 2012.03.26 )
I am quite new to tablet roms etc but managed to flash a new rom which I thought was the correct one using Livesuite.
The Rom was LY-F1 Allveiw Aldro speed by Seby
The tablet seemed to work fine but then froze up again.
It only occasionally boots up correctly but normally freezes on boot up screen or not long after boot up.
I don't know how to tell if it's a software or hardware problem being new to the whole Android O.S.
I have been chasing my tail trying to find a solution but am getting nowhere. Please if there is somebody that has any solution or can point me to a link related to the problem I would be much obliged.
Thanks Hopefully
Kev
Hi guys.
I have a problem wih my phone. When I bought it the operating system was android 5.0.1 and the phone constantly reboots so I changed it to android 4.4 (original version) with Odin and nothing changed. There are periods when is working fine but just few days,in rest the phone keeps restarting especially when battery level is below 50%.
I'm thinking to change the system to cyogen or something else but I don't know if this will work .
What can I do in this case? Thanks!
