Unable to boot LG Optimus G into recovery

Hi, I'm having trouble booting my LG Optimus G into recovery mode. I've rooted the phone and installed ClockworkMod recovery. When I try to boot into recovery, either from the ROMmanager app or by holding Volume Up and Power, it comes up with the LG logo and gives this error: Secure Booting Error! Cause: boot certification verify. It just stays like that until I press and hold the power button again until the phone shuts off entirely. Then I'm able to boot into the stock operating system and the phone works fine, but I can never get it to boot into recovery.
The error I mentioned above seems to be a well documented error on the internet, but it seems like other people that are having the trouble are completely bricking their phones. Mine is able to come out of it. All the solutions I'm finding pertain to a phone that's completely bricked and involve taking the phone back to stock. My phone works fine with the stock ROM, but I'd like to play with some custom ROM's.
Any ideas? Thanks!
I am having this same issue, anybody resolve?
Sounds like you don't have the right recovery. If you're already rooted, I believe FreeGee is the go to app for setting up recovery and all that.

Rom Manager sucks for most phones and has for years.

LG Volt Unresponsive Presses? Factory Reset Results In Talkback Screen & Long Reboots

LG Volt Unresponsive Presses? Factory Reset Results In Talkback Screen & Long Reboots
I'm not even sure how to title this thread. It all got nasty.
The most I've done so far is root my LG Volt.
I was just recently pursuing building an AOSP ROM and even used "dd" to back up EVERY partition to my computer.
Then, I also had wiped the laf partition to get to fastboot rather than "recovery" (download mode (volume-up&power)). THEN, I fastboot restored the backed up laf partition.
This was all probably 2-3 weeks ago.
Now last night, my phone became more and more unresponsive, to where I just had to reboot and the unresponsiveness didn't get better AND the script used for mounts to my sdcard didn't work and when I even tried to "su" while in adb, I never was able to get root for some reason (which likely explains the permitted root apps to fail to run).
And it only gets worse. One of the times I rebooted, the keypad didn't come up to decrypt the drive. Eventually I gave it time and it came up. But even BEFORE decrypting, I'd get notices of apps failing like Settings (and I hadn't even booted yet).
At this point, I didn't have many (any?) options left. I can't adb/fastboot with Volume-Up/Down & Power (lg nerfed it?)
I mean, I can boot to those (screens?), but can't use the programs on my computer (no device is found in those modes, unlike when I could adb while fully into android).
So, I have been able to get to the fastboot screen and wipe cache and also factory reset (wipe data).
When I reboot from fastboot, boot takes about 6-7 minutes and android starts with the Talkback screen.
But again, the screen presses are nearly unresponsive. When pressing "Next" finally registers, my phone ends up rebooting and NEVER boots up.
It starts with the LG boot logo and the smooth "glimmer" animation. After maybe 15 minutes, it seems like it reboots again (or maybe a 2nd stage of boot or something?) and that "smooth" animation now becomes "jittery", like the cpu is really being taxed.
Again, I hadn't flashed any ROMs with this phone yet, so surely the factory reset would've brought it all back to a clean state.
Also, I DID remove my old swollen battery (gassed-up for maybe 2 years now (yes, I know I'm practically playing with fire)) too, and put it back in.
I would always have my phone plugged into my computer so it would always be charged.
What are my options at this point for my 3+ year old phone? Is there a way to get to adb/fastboot so I can restore what I backed up before? Can I sideload a ROM from my sdcard? ...?
What I'd like to do is fsck the data partition and maybe even run badblocks on it.
While typing all this out and reviewing it, that part of the boot with the jittery logo disappeared, so it may now be onto the stage of getting back into the main android start screen. Ouch, that boot audio really struggled, again like the cpu is really being hammered.
Nope, the logo is coming back up again and really struggling to even display the logo. The G and "Life's Good" is still fading in VERY slowly.
Well, luckily I was still able to use the old flash method https://androidforums.com/threads/guide-brick-recovery.893332/
Now I look to restore the partitions I had previously backed up with dd.
The problem is, I never backed up the decrypted dm-0, but rather the encrypted userdata mmcblk partition.
Does twrp or something have the ability to restore the encrypted mmcblk partition and what I guess is the small "encrypt" partition that I assume contains the encryption key?

Touch stopped working and stuck in twrp

So, I was watching some videos on youtube on my phone (GM-925I, rooted) and I clicked on the recents button to open the tabs but could not click on anything. I thought my phone might have hanged so I tried locking and unlocking the screen and the swipe to unlock actually worked. But after that, I again could not click on anything. I tried the home button, volume up and down buttons, all were working just fine so the phone definitely hadn't hanged and since the touch was working on the lock screen it couldn't have been a hardware issue. I thought of restoring a backup i had made with twrp so I managed to boot into recovery but my stupid ass forgot that this recovery only worked with touch and touch wasnt working in recovery as well! So, not only can i not restore backup or factory reset the phone but I cant also boot into system as everytime I close the phone with simulated battery disconnect it just boots back into twrp. I can go to Odin mode though so if anyone can either tell me if the touch problem is a hardware problem or if there is some way I can factory reset or even boot into system somehow.
I'm kinda new to the whole software customization thingy and would really appreciate any help on this.

[HELP] LG G6 can't boot into TWRP

As the title says, I cannot get my LG G6 to boot into twrp. Whenever I do the button combination to get into it, I get the screen prompting me to do a factory reset or whatever and when it's done it boots straight back into the OS and the second time I do it, it asks me the same thing but this time it displays the TWRP screen for a few seconds and reboots into a factory reset OS. Any ideas what might be causing this? Thanks.

LG V30 Bootloop

My V30 got an Update yesterday. It downloaded and I pressed install, hooked it up to the Charger and left it there to do its thing... After about 80% was completed it automatically restarted and now it stops booting at the LG screen. I tried pressing the POWER OFF switch but nothing happened (even after a full minute). Then I tried POWER OFF + VOL. DOWN. It rebooted, showed me some error and got stuck at the LG loading screen... Did POWER OFF + VOL. DOWN again and tried to enter Recovery mode with pressing POWER OFF again... Stuck on LG loading screen...
What di I do?
I have exactly the same problem.
The error showing is:
Your device has failed a routine safety check and may not work properly.
I contacted both LG and my carrier about it, both said that I should send it for repair, but that will cost me a lot of money.
I tried a hard reset, but it didn't seem to work.
I'm wondering if more people seem to have this problem after the Pie update, but more importantly, does anyone know how to fix this?

Unlocked bootloader message is normal. If it's stuck there then try factory reset erasing all data
I had exactly the same problem with 30b software. I was coming from 21w with all my data on there (22j never came with OTA). I hooked up the phone onto PC and ran LG Bridge where it showed that I have update waiting (nothing showed in phone settings Update option). So I vent ahead, LG Bridge downloaded 3GB update, phone restarted, update began to load. After finishing phone restarted again and was supposed to boot into updated Android 9 but got stuck on LG logo instead. Tried all button combinations but no luck. Then decided to downgrade to 21w again as that one was working before. Unfortunately for me, I left option on to refurbish the phone (all data gone). Silly me. So then I flashed 22j and left it boot. As I logged in on the phone the message popped up about new update. Software version 30b (Android 9). I left it to download (1.73GB) and updated it. Booted without problems. Just to clarify, I had non rooted stock 21w, which came after I let the LG Bridge to repair my phone as no updates were coming. It did that and immediately received 21w software. Since then I had no updates or notifications.
I have the same problem, my device is a korean V300L, boot correctly on oreo V300L21S, but doesn't boot on update V300L30D, stuck on LG logo, then I've back to oreo by refurbish with lgup.
I had the same issue, this video helped.

Took me a few tried to get it but once I did I was able to erase everything then boot. Hope it helps.
