Hey all,
I have a SM-T867U LTE tablet. I'm interested in disabling the USB notifications that keep appearing. I've already tried many different types of troubleshooting steps to try to resolve the issue, but none of the proposed solutions have fixed the issue. My tablet continues to charge normally. I'm only interested in disabling the notification with any means necessary. The service is under the System UI and something called "USBImportanceLow". I have installed ROM's or custom bootloaders in quite some time, so I don't know how to do it.
What's the best way to accomplish what I'm looking for? Thanks for your help in advance .

I have searched high and low to find a way to fully disable the annoying Full Battery Charge notification for the AT&T Galaxy Note, and have not come across a satisfactory solution. The Battery Charged Silencer app does not work correctly on this model, and I am wary of using the Tasker workaround of disabling notifications/brightness at 99% and re-enabling at 100%, as the idea of missing anything during that short timeframe is still aggravating.
Would anybody be able to enlighten me as to a way to get rid of this awful notification once and for all? My device is rooted, and I would be willing to install a custom ROM if there is one that provides this fix. Any way of disabling the notification without losing functionality from other apps would be amazing. Thank you in advance!
Yeah know what you mean, I just turn mine upside down, so the bright display does not bother me when it is ready.

Had the same issue with my SkyRocket. It was addressed in a Custom ROM so I would wait for ROM's and check for the feature.
Figured I would help out on this thread, cause it bothered me greatly since I purchased my Note.
To remove the notification sound for when the battery is fully charged, I renamed the following file: /system/media/audio/ui/TW_Battery_Caution.ogg , changing the extension from .ogg to .bak
[Need Root Explorer, of course]
Sorry if it is a stupid question, but I am completely new to S2/android and can't find an answer anywhere.
Is there any reason why placing the phone onto the craddle (which is connected to my PC via USB) comes up and ask me to disconnect Bluetooth? Why is it not possible to use both USB or bluetooth at the same time?
All my previous phones could do that but they were all HTC and all Windows Mobile phones. So I am not sure whether it is an issue with Samsung or Android or I just haven't configured it correctly.
I normally have the phone in the craddle while working (so it charges and can transfer files to and from) and use the bluetooth handset to answer or make calls. It is pretty annoying to not be able to do that anymore.
Thanks.
From what I can tell it's a thing with the Samsung bloatware they put on the phone, as I just tested it with my phone and I can have bluetooth, wifi and usb all connected at the same time. Perhaps try flashing a new Rom?
Actually I have just found out that if I go ahead and disconnect bluetooth and get the connection through USB running, I can then re-enable Bluetooth and they both keep working.
THis is a completely stock S2, so it would be nice if it was possible to change this irritating behaviour.

You've already been given your answer, flash a custom ROM that's deleted and the bloatware, and please don't become one of those newbies that doesn't read the responses in the very thread they started
Yes I have read "TehH4rRy"'s answer. My apology for not thanking him for that.
I was hoping for a solution that does not involve flashing and rooting since i have much better things to do with my time, and I was hoping this was just about me not knowing some perhaps hidden options to turn this behaviour off.
As far as I know this is the generic "Q&A" section, so you can't assume that everybody that posts a question here is looking to flash their S2 to death.
I posted my finding so that if somebody else had the same problem and is not willing to flash their phone, they would know that there is a work-around, and perhaps some other kindly helping users have even better work-arounds.
Your answer on the other hand I am not sure what it adds to the thread... but thanks anyway.
If you enable USB debugging, the phone will not disconnect the Bluetooth.

Thanks a lot yaronkle. That was what I was looking for! Weird setting but it makes the trick.
My pleasure
Hey guys,
I am having some problem with a recently purchased Zenfone 5. I will try to be brief, and any help is really, really appreciated.
Alright - so my phone, all of a sudden, has entered a state where I cannot do anything. All I can access is a screen similar to that of Samsung's S-view, which is intended to be active when there is a case attached. However, I do not have one attached - and as such, it appears that it may be a problem with the proximity sensor.
I don't know how this happened, but I cannot get the phone repaired as I live in Australia, and none of the repair technicians, nor Asus, seem to know anything. I was wondering if any of you friendly chaps might, then? It is extremely frustrating, as I would be able to use the phone otherwise, if it was not for this damn screen that it is displaying, which is preventing me from accessing settings and disabling it.
Also, this brings me to my second issue - I want to try to reinstall the OS, but I cannot enable USB debugging! Ah! Do any of you guys have any kind of workaround for this?
I will provide more detail as needed,
Thankyou for any help you can provide,
- dyspoid
Does anyone at least know how I can get past the "s-view" type screen so I can fix things?
Hello all. Ive seen a bunch of the threads of people talking about issues with their device, but I've found a few weird bugs that I haven't seen anywhere else, so I wanted to see if anyone else has seen these/knows a solution.
Before I get started, I have a 32GB WiFi only N9. I installed that first firmware update that you get when you start the device, and nothing else. I have NOT rooted, installed a customer kernel, unlocked the bootloader, nothing. My current build number reads as LRX21L.
1) Heads Up Notifications. I don't get them. Period. This was a Lollipop feature I was really looking forward to, and no matter what app it is or what I'm doing, they don't give me a Heads Up popup. I don't think I did anything that would turn them off, it's just weirding me out that it's not happening. Is there a toggle somewhere that controls it?
2) Flashlight Toggle. I love that we finally have this, but the weirdest thing happened recently: it vanished. Like just totally up and vanished. I've only used it a few times in the week I've had the device, but I've never even touched the Cast Screen toggle and it's still there. Honestly, I used the flashlight toggle less than 24 hours before it vanished. How do I get it back?
I'm inclined to do a factory reset and see if it fixes these issues, but I wanted to check with you folks first. I also feel like I'm forgetting a third thing, if it comes to me I'll add it to this post.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry to hear about your problems. I'm also not receiving heads up notifications. I have notifications set to "always interrupt", but have never received a heads up notification.
I still have the flashlight quick toggle, though (located under "invert colors").
I'd flash the 21Q factory image. You'll have to unlock the bootloader and flash it manually. If you still have problems it could be a hardware issue.

I saw this and was wondering if it's related to your flashlight issue: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/11/17/lollipop-bug-leaving-the-flashlight-on-until-it-times-out-breaks-the-camera-and-flashlight-until-you-reboot/
Has anyone successfully enabled call waiting? I keep trying but always get some kind of network message?.
Forgot to add a screen shot
Confirmed. Same issue on T-Mobile.

I wonder what the problem is, maybe we need another software update to fix these issues
I still cant enable call waiting, is there anyone else out there having or had this problem and resolved it? , I searched and can not find any info regarding this problem, I did a reset tried it connected and disconnected from gear manager made sure it is enabled on my note 3 and still no success, is this a problem across all gear s on all carriers, just t-mobile or just sporadic? , just trying to make sense of it to correct the problem and provide a possible solution for anyone else who might have the same problem.
