hello! i was browsing on my facebook and I saw a mod on a Xiaomi phone that has an upgraded battery (meaning high MAH than the original one). the mod became possible by using other batteries from other phone brand (on this mod, the modder used a battery from an Asus phone) and interchanging the board of the original battery to the new and higher capacity battery. now I was wondering if I can do the same on my s9 plus, which currently has 3500 mah. my question now is there any battery (other than the original ones) that i can use to replicate the said mod? (higher battery capacity with the same size as s9 plus battery).
thanks!
for reference, the youtube video link below performs the said battery mod. the only difference is the battery used.

Guys, Recently i bought a new sgs2 battery from ebay having capacity of 2000mah. But i m not sure it is of that capacity
can u tell me how can i confirm that???
I have tried battery monitor widget but it is showing 1650mah
You can't confirm it with the phone. You need specialised equipment to test batteries. Best you can do is run the phone under similar conditions for the same amount of time with each battery & do a guesstimate.
I bought a 2000mAh a few mths back and after using it for that long, it's probably pretty close to its rated capacity given I seem to get around 20% more usage out of a charge compared to the stock battery.
Due to hardware limitations, battery apps can only provide an approximation of how much battery you have left at any given time & how quickly it's draining.
Plenty of posts on here over the last few months explaining same better than I can if you feel like having a search/reading
Did much of search on google but couldn't find a better solution
tx for ur reply dude
Hi
Seeing a bunch of 3100mah batteries on ebay for about $13 or so.
I know there has been stability (auto shut off) problems with anything but stock batteries, so do any of you use higher mAH batteries and how stable has it been?
Also, is 3100mah about as high as it gets for our Notes ?
Would welcome any recommendations for places to buy quality battery as well. Thanks
Try looking in the accessory section. Many battery threads there.
I've been checking my battery life (see pictures) and I don't find normal that is consumption is so high only for having the screen on and using it for normal things (whatsapping, browsing...). What do you think? may be battery defective? I bought it as it was the original (I think it was a fake one) but I don't have the impression it has the same performance I had when I bought my phone.
In case you think it's the battery, could you please refer me to a seller link in which a battery you recommend is being sold?.
Thanks in advance.
PS: pics 1 and 2 | 3 and 4 are related.
I have been reading about people buying "original" samsung batteries and most of them seems to be a fake. Then, its performance is just bad!. Then, I've seen that anker are good batteries. What do you think?
Thanks!
There's nothing abnormal in your Battery usage statistics. The S3 uses an AMOLED screen so it needs more battery than other screens.
Try to reduce the Brightness to the lowest / put it on Auto. And try using a dark Wallpaper.
Thanks, I was already using autobright with -5. I wonder all of this because I've seen stats of having 1d or more and 4-5 hours of screen. I don't know if these people own a higher capacity battery (e.g. 4400mah of Anker) or it's because my battery is a fake samsung one.
Hi all, I have a Note 5 for about a year now, and I'm feeling like I'm getting much worse battery life versus when I first purchased it. Battery-consuming apps and power saver modes aside, is there any way / app that can simply display for me the max mAh my current battery can go up to? For example 2850 / 3000 (3000 mAh is the original value of the Note 5's battery), which means it has degraded 5%. Thanks in advance!
hi! I'm kinda new to xda. I searched everywhere on google about battery mods on samsung s2(yea, i know, old phone for our days), for example adapting a bigger battery from other models. So far i managed to fit a xcover 3 battery, 2.200 mah, by peeling the logo and nfc antenna, and removing some plastic from the chassis of phone., but the battery cover has some gap and falls off in pocket because battery is thicker. I saw more models with 1800 to 2100 mah, and I need to know which will fit perfectly. Seems that no one ever thought about that. Sorry for bad english
I also own an S2 i9100 an I have always struggled with finding original high capacity batteries for S2. I have tried many so-called high capacity batteries from China but none have proved suitable.
Also I wonder if S2 is capable of charging a higher capacity battery to the fullest... I think it stops charing half way even though we manage to fit a larger capacity battery. But I want to be proven wrong about it.
And if you have found a battery that has a higher capacity such as 2200mah or even higher that is of the same size so that it fits S2, I would love to kno if you are able to charge it to the fullest and get long life usage on S2.
Specific details would be helpful.

you can charge any battery. the charging ic on device is based on voltage, not on amperage. it will charge the battery until 4.2 v regardless the time or mah. i managed to get longer life with 2200 mah battery, but not very impressive because the battery was used and the manufacturing date is 2015. also, it seems that battery dies after some time if you peel its cover and expose metal.
update: Just bought some batteries and successfully fit the model EB-BG360BBE, 2000MAH for core prime. 30h= standby, 7 hours sot

Could you confirm if it is an exact fit for Samsung Galaxy S2 i9100 ?
