Hi all, I have a Note 5 for about a year now, and I'm feeling like I'm getting much worse battery life versus when I first purchased it. Battery-consuming apps and power saver modes aside, is there any way / app that can simply display for me the max mAh my current battery can go up to? For example 2850 / 3000 (3000 mAh is the original value of the Note 5's battery), which means it has degraded 5%. Thanks in advance!

Although NSFAN's ROM has extended my standby time to almost 3 days, I wanted to try and push for more "active" time when using the data a lot.
I know there are two different battery types, one with more cells crammed into the same size battery and another with an extended door. Has anyone tried either of these and what difference does it make?
Id like to know too
Id like to know to what extent these batteries will allow my phone to run. I am running on Vets beta 3 and it sucks life right out of my battery (not complaining because it is an awesome rom) but I have also considered getting an extended battery since I also try running XDAndroid which eats the battery for breakfast...
I have both a Seidio Extra Cell battery (normal size but 1800 mah) and a 3000 mah extended battery with extended door.
Let me start by saying I own about a dozen accessories made by Seidio for the Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2....and they are all great..... BUT I only see a 2-3 hour stand-by difference.
With the 3000 mah extended battery (which you should be able to find for ~$20 or so) adds a little more... about 5-6 hours...... BUT it gets really hot, and the battery % drops like a rock after about 60%.
The combination I suggest is getting the Seidio extra cell battery and use it with a battery saving program/reg. settings. Here is one I install after every new flash. (as far as I know it works with all WM Roms)
Hope this helps.
so... do you think that they are even worth it? I had the extended battery when I had the Apache (ppc6700) but since it was bought used, I thought that the batteries were loosing charge due to the previous use...
I would like to get one but if they do not show significant gains, there is no need for the money waste.
Is it possible to upgrade the battery from the default one ? or is that it ? I am wondering if I can but a better, longer lasting battery...
yeah you can
the stock one is 1300 mah
you can get a 1700 mah one from ebay, same size
you can get 2200 and even 3000 mah ones, but they are qquite big and require a larger battery cover
search ebay

i got one of these ones, theyre pretty good, about 25% more battery life imho
I've been checking my battery life (see pictures) and I don't find normal that is consumption is so high only for having the screen on and using it for normal things (whatsapping, browsing...). What do you think? may be battery defective? I bought it as it was the original (I think it was a fake one) but I don't have the impression it has the same performance I had when I bought my phone.
In case you think it's the battery, could you please refer me to a seller link in which a battery you recommend is being sold?.
Thanks in advance.
PS: pics 1 and 2 | 3 and 4 are related.
I have been reading about people buying "original" samsung batteries and most of them seems to be a fake. Then, its performance is just bad!. Then, I've seen that anker are good batteries. What do you think?
Thanks!
There's nothing abnormal in your Battery usage statistics. The S3 uses an AMOLED screen so it needs more battery than other screens.
Try to reduce the Brightness to the lowest / put it on Auto. And try using a dark Wallpaper.
Thanks, I was already using autobright with -5. I wonder all of this because I've seen stats of having 1d or more and 4-5 hours of screen. I don't know if these people own a higher capacity battery (e.g. 4400mah of Anker) or it's because my battery is a fake samsung one.
hello! i was browsing on my facebook and I saw a mod on a Xiaomi phone that has an upgraded battery (meaning high MAH than the original one). the mod became possible by using other batteries from other phone brand (on this mod, the modder used a battery from an Asus phone) and interchanging the board of the original battery to the new and higher capacity battery. now I was wondering if I can do the same on my s9 plus, which currently has 3500 mah. my question now is there any battery (other than the original ones) that i can use to replicate the said mod? (higher battery capacity with the same size as s9 plus battery).
thanks!
for reference, the youtube video link below performs the said battery mod. the only difference is the battery used.
Hello everyone i have made some research last day and start to thinking of upgrade the battery from 4500 mAh to 5000 mAh, they look quite similar on pictures , i don't find yet any detail in size. If it will be possible then I will lost wireless charging and reverse charging but will get approx.11% battery capacity+. I thinking that this battery in mix 4 is very law quality barely get 4 hours with dual sim, 60 hz and so on. Buy phone to just turn off ll it's features just to get battery life stable is not good. I am on xiaomi.eu 14...
Lost 40% in big sunny day just in 15 minutes and falling from less then 20 to 1 with the blink of an eye.
So is anyone have idea where can foumd more details about the size of battery let me know or maybe someone think bout it before.
I have other Xiaomi 12 T Pro, Poco f 2 pro, and other with global and non of the have similar issue with drain of battery like mix 4.
Actually the pics shows 11 T Pro with the 4860 mAh with wireless charging , but the option is also 12 T Pro with 5000 mAh without
Quick updated i find info that this phone was planned to be lunched with BM58 5000mAh ,120 W, no wireless. Instead was lunched with 4500 mAh wireless.
Do BM58 should be good to go ,questions is how this 500mAh extra will worki???
Hello, I already did the test of putting the 5000mah one. The phone simply does not turn on, I don't know if it is because it is not compatible or because it does not have a charge. If you put it to charge, the battery icon appears but no current passes since I measured it with a USB meter
You mean the BM 58?

Ok thanks for info,
How's your current battery capacity? I've been using my Mix 4 since September 2021 and if Accubattery and the debug log are to be believed, my battery deterioration has been brutal.
Accubattery: Estimated 2395 mAh
Debug log:
Statistics since last charge:
System starts: 0, currently on battery: true
Estimated battery capacity: 1962 mAh
Last learned battery capacity: 1978 mAh
Min learned battery capacity: 1978 mAh
Max learned battery capacity: 1982 mAh

I not use the app anymore so don't know real capacity.
those types of applications have problems with dual cell batteries, they are only half as big. For example, the ampere app detects double the voltage and that is impossible because otherwise the motherboard would burn
