Good mainboard won't boot when swapped to different phone

I got a Note 2 from a guy on Craigslist that apparently had died. Wouldn't boot, no lights, but battery did warm up after staying on the charger for a while, so it seemed to be charging. Got another note 2 with a busted screen, but which does boot. Screen is completely shattered with no backlight or image on the screen, but you can hear it fully boot. When I swapped the board from the second phone to the dead one, nothing happens still. No boot. No blue light. Nothing at all. I tried the board I pulled out of the first phone in the shattered phone and it appears to boot. Swap the board that came out of it back and it boots, but nothing happens with either board when I put them into the first phone. I've also swapped the usb boards and they both work in the phone with the shattered screen. I'm stumped! The first phone I got is super clean, and doesn't appear to have any water damage to phone or battery, and my shattered note 2 boots with both batteries. I thought the issue was the well known sudden death issue, but it seems I have a different problem. Any suggestions?
edit: Well I got the first phone to boot with the original mainboard, but it will only boot if the connector on the top right (looking at the rear of phone) is disconnected. When I connect it it won't do squat. I'm assuming this is the video connector, but not sure.

Galaxy Core II / Phone Wont Boot After Replacing Digitizer

Hello, i recently ordered a new digitizer & lcd for my phone but the phone stucks on samsung core 2 logo when i turn it on.
I figured out that the problem is the digitizer and not the lcd since the new lcd boots with the old digitizer.
BUT if i turn on the phone with the old parts and replace the lcd+digitizer while the phone is turned on, everything works perfect until you turn off the phone again and it stucks at logo again.
So, i assume that there is a code in the firmware that doesnt let the phone boot with thirdparty replacements. If i am correct, will a custom firmware solve my problem? Or, is there any other solution?

Z5C Bricked Itself

Bought a "new" Z5C on eBay a few weeks ago. Shipped out of China, arrived in what appeared to be a genuine box. Seemed to have be a Chinese / Taiwanese market version. Set up and installed OTA updates, there were quite a few of them. Worked great for about 2 weeks then the other day plugged it in for the night and went to sleep. Woke up and it was frozen on the Sony Experia boot screen. Wouldn't turn off. Located hidden off switch under cover and powered off and came back on to frozen Sony logo again. Tried long 120 sec off reset, no change. Can't get into flashmode, and thus it is not detected by Sony Xperia Companion. For a while I could get into Fastboot mode but at this point it no longer even turns on or displays a charging light.
Never rooted, never had anything but stock OTA updates installed.
Is it hopeless?
seems like it, you can try send\ask the seller for repair.
i bought my z5c 2 years ago 800$ for this reason (i saw at ebay or parallel shop almot 50% price didnt buy it)
my z5c work still perfect
dont get me wrong , sony still not good as they once were,

Water Damaged Poco F1 - Charge light was flasing but won't turn on

Dropped my Poco F1 in the sink. I didn't turn it off immediately as it worked for ~30 minutes (this is stupid I know.) Eventually the screen stopped responding and turned off. I took it to a phone repair place who pulled the back off and dried it out mostly, but as they were unfamiliar with the phone didn't want to proceed further. It's since been 2 days since it got wet so i tried plugging it in. The charge light started flashing which was the first sign of life i'd seen from the phone. I tried turning it on, the screen came on with a faint black very briefly with a short vibration also. The phone promptly shut off again and now not even the charge light is showing anymore.
What would be the best thing to do from here? I thought about getting a replacement screen however it takes at least 2 weeks to ship to Australia from any of the vendors I've found online. Would the replacement screen be worth it, or is the issue something else?

It's completely damaged.
Screen got shorted out from the water and motherboard is damaged based off of the nonresponsiveness / partially damaged response of the Android OS.
It progressively got worse because the water caused corossion of the metal components.
Sad to say it's completely unsalvageable except maybe the camera.

Pocophone has no given IP Water Resistance Rating since Xiaomi launched the Pocophone, but only certified Splashproof rating. See the video on JerryRigEverything wherein he did a teardown video and saw all components of the Pocophone and proven no water protection in Type-c port, headphone jack, speakers, etc.
In your case, 30 minutes underwater? It is dead. You can salvage it but not everything.

It wasn't underwater for 30 minutes. It was only underwater for a few seconds, but it was working for about 30 minutes after it got wet, and then shut down completely. I have taken it to another repair tech who got it working again, it is responsive/vibrating however the screen is still dead. Any recommendations for a replacement screen?
Place it in a sealed bag full of rice for at least 24 hours.

Hello,
could you mabye say if the display replacement worked for your pocophone? I had exact the same accident (phone fell in 2-3 centimeter salt water, worked for 30 minutes, after then screen went off, charging light is working).
Now I know what sould have to do first: turn off the phone immediately. Second mistake, I did not save the holiday photos on external storage, just on internal.
All data maybe is lost...

Strange honor problem

Hi
So my honor 8x stopped charging so I got a charger from a friend then a new one, didn't work.
Thought it was the battery, got a new one didn't work. The new one works in my Huawei p smart z so the battery is fine.
Then replaced the charging port from a donor phone which was working but had a smashed screen, didn't work.
What's strange is if I leave it plugged in it'll stay on but on 0% and the red light blinks but it won't charge.
Faulty motherboard perhaps?
Thanks
