What do you think about the micro usb 3.0 feature? Any real world uses for it? I hardly ever connect my phone to the computer.
Hit thanks if I helped you out.

Definitely, especially when it comes to pulling TWRP backups and pushing ROM's to my phone.

For now it's leading edge, heck I don't even have PCs with it yet but going forward it is the new standard. Like the 5g wifi speed 2x faster than normal wifi, will McDonald's have it doubtful but I have it at home! So I welcome faster usb speed, 10x I think.

I have a USB 3.0 port on my laptop that I bought 2 years ago. This will be the first USB 3.0 device I can actually use all the extra speed with. Ya it's usefull.

With 4k video compatibility, usb 3.0 will be a heck of a lot faster for transferring your videos, as 4k will take up quite some space.

That's why we have these forums I suppose
I am still hoping that this is a sign that Samsung is about to release the micro sd cards that were rumored earlier this year with reads around 150MB/S. This would make sense because 3.0 can handle around 300MB/s. Just a hope though. If they were not releasing it, it would not make too much sense to add 3.0 to a device with 2.0 speeds in its memory or the current sd.
I am using mine with an extreme 32 gb sandisk. I copied 10 gigs of movies in about 2.5 min. I didn't have a stop watch but I was damn impressed. I did a full twrp 4.6 gb backup in about 400 sec @ 30mb a sec... the card is supposed to be 80mb a sec so it might be internal bottleneck we are not rightly seeing. All in all I am loving this phone...
I'll be especially interested in seeing a USB 3.0 OTG adapter... But then I guess I'd had to buy a USB 3.0 HDD...

I have a small external drive that's powered off a USB 3.0 drive on my laptop. It's amazingly fast. Data copies at 100mb/s.
Has anybody tried charging it via a USB 3.0 capable laptop? How do charging times vary vs. the std wall charger it comes with?

I have a similar question regarding to charging through USB 3.0 cable. For most of USB port on my computer/laptop are still 2.0. I wondered if I charge note 3 through a usb 3.0 cable to usb 2.0 port. Will I still be benefited in terms of charging speed? Trying to decide whether I should buy few extra USB 3.0 cable.
Thank you

I am sorry, I missed the point of both of your questions @martinliu & @inco9nito99 . Updated answers below:
@martinliu - No, charging through a 3.0 cable on a 2.0 port will not increase charging speed...and you wouldn't be able to plug a 3.0 cable into a 2.0 port in the first place since they have different ends due to there being an additional bus (8 wires instead of 4), so it's a moot point.
@inco9nito99 - The note 3 comes with a 2 amp wall charger and a usb 3.0 cable out of the box. Typical wall outlets allow WAY more output than 2 amps so you should be able to charge via the wall outlet at a max speed of the charger (plug part) which is, by default on the stock Note 3 plug, 2 amp (or 2,000 mA).
USB 2.0 could output up to 500 mA where as USB 3.0 can output 900 mA (source: http://www.diffen.com/difference/USB_2.0_vs_USB_3.0). This means that the wall outlet can charge more than 2x faster than the computers 3.0 port and 4x faster than the computers 2.0 port.
2000 mA wall vs. 900 mA 3.0 port vs. 500 mA 2.0 port
Hope this helps guys!
Lucky me. I just bought a customize hp laptop about couple weeks ago, and all 4 usb ports are 3.0

So you cant plug a usb 3.0 cord in to a usb 2.0 port? But you can plug a usb 2.0 cord in to a 3.0 port? I pkug regular 2.0 usb cord into my laptops 3.0 port because it allows charging while the laptop is powered off. Just trying to figure out how this works.

Hello Guys
I'm thinking about buying a Ethernet Adapter. Is there only the Samsung USB Hub working or are there other brands compatible with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 LTE? Could you recommend me something? Is there any speed difference between a usb 2.0 and 3 0?
Is it possible to charge the tablet if it is connected to a Ethernet USB Hub?
Thanks everybody

I watch TV through a website. At the same time, charge the device through the Ethernet USB Hub. My experience is that the device lose power faster than charging. I am not sure but maybe it is faster to charge by directly plugging the cable to the Note PRO than through the Ethernet USB Hub.
i bought the hub with 2 usb 1 ethernet and the charge port, it works well

Funny, I have the Anker one, but with a USB-B port. Connected in a USB-C hub, that provides HDMI out, USB-C to charge and USB-B, in which I plugged this. While the lights flicker, nothing works. I tried plugging a USB memory stick, won't read it (my Anker adapter has USB 3.0 and gigabit ethernet). But, if I plug the key directly in the USB-B port of the USB-C hub, no problem. So somehow, that one does not work for me. Anyone else been able to get an adapter to work? At best, I want something like the Dell WD15. It's an overkill, but any alternative providing ethernet, hdmi, usb-b and a mean to charge like usb-c. A mix of video ports is even better, but not required.
I have seen where some members have tried this and it would not work.
Has anyone been able to get this to work?
The mediapad m5 is only a usb 2.0 speed
Only USB 3.1 can do hdmi
So it wont work

Hi.
Who can tell me if the S23 Ultra cable data transfer maximum speed was 480 mb/s or much more to pc or SSD?
Yes. It looks like it's still USB 2.0.
definitely 2.0 , I used a 3.0 usb drive and transfer speeds were slow

Yes. 5-10 Gigabits. That's still a lot less than all the other computers have 40 Gigabits. But it's just a phone. It probably doesn't need high speed.
On gsm arena they say USB-3.2

Sir, can you send me a screenshot of the storage menu of your 1TB version? I am thinking to get a 1TB version for myself, I got my hands on a 512Gb one, curious about storage stats.
