As the title says, I have just purchased a Redmi 10 2022. There is no mention of 'Note' It is 4/128 GB. Is there a tread on here for this model?.
I am just setting up the phone and arrived at the screen that says, 'To continue you have to agree to Google downloading apps that may be chargeable'. How do I stop this and continue to set up the phone.
I am sorry I am not very good with phones, so if I am in the wrong place could you please point me in the correct direction to get this sorted. Thanks.
No, there's no specific section for this device.
I know that a Megathread is present at this link to download and discuss about stock ROM update

Thanks zSyntex. I have to admit I just wanted a new camera, not expensive and with more memory than mu old Samsung J5 that filled it's 8gb quickly. What I do not want is automatic google downloads. Would you have any idea if I agree to the Google app downloads so I can finish setting up the camera, I can then stop them downloading?

For those who had great expectations with APK Downloader might be happy to hear that development is active again. According to the developer's page, the extension should be released within the week.

Updaet 02/27: Ok, you won. I’m working on new version that disables ability to download paid apps ( not completely ). I know bad people will find another way to make it work again, but I don’t mind. It will be released in the next 1-2 days. Please be patient.

This is great news to TouchPad owners having problems downloading/installing because of device incompatibilities, living in the wrong country, or any other forces that prevent you from installing directly to your device.

Hello,
I have this Samsung Galaxy S2 GT - I9100, which I originally rooted when it had Gingerbread 2.3.4, then using Mobile Odin I flashed it ICS 4.0.3, XXPLQ. Everything went smooth. Until a few hours later when a few apps started disappearing. 12 total. I tried restoring them with titanium backup (from a backup I had done before flashing ICS) but it won't let me do it. I can't reinstall the apps from Google Play either.
Any ideas on what should I do?
Please explain with as much detail as possible. I'm still new to the flashing roms world
Thanks,

hi and welcome to the forum.
to improve the chance of getting good answers, you should change the thread title to something like "disappearing apps after ics update" or something similar. just stating the device's name is redundant, as you are in a section of the forum, which deals exclusively with that model.
also, questions go in the q&a section, but don't worry, i reported it to be moved.
also, you should post, what specific apps you are talking about and of what kind they are, are they free or paid, are they generally available on the play store for your country? have you checked the play store from a pc to look for those apps? ...and so on. being really specific makes it way easier to help.
Hello, you are correct, i'm sorry for the title and lack of more info. I can't edit the thread title so, if you or any other moderator can do so, feel free to do it.
About my problem, I could not give more details because there was no much relevant info to give. There were 12 apps total that suddenly disappeared after flashing. Among those were:
2 games from Game Insight (Airport City and My Country)
Mobile Odin
Akdiko Reader
Mantano Free Reader
Complete Edition UEFA.com
Amazon.com Android App
Virtual City playground
Angry Birds Space Premium
and a couple more I can't recall
I didn't see anything in common among those apps, except the error was that it couldn't install on usb storage or sd card.
An hour ago, a friend of mine pointed out to me that I had a problem that I should look for the sd fix, and directed me to download CF Root 5.4 (I used CF Root 5.3 to root the phone after flashing the firmware).
Apparently there is a bug with 5.3 that caused this on some games and apps (no idea why). So, I flashed the new kernel root and all is well, I was able to restore the apps and data with Titanium.
I guess this same bug caused these apps to "vanish" in the first place.
Thanks for trying to help and sorry I failed stating my problem better. I hope now that I explained my issue and solution helps others.
If a any mod read this, please change the thread title accordingly.
Best regards,
formatting your phone is the best idea
Hi there!

Browsing the forum there's tons of different erent roms etc but what can you recommend that i should get? Thank you and i apologize

Hi!
Has anyone managed to get Family Link working on a Redmi Note 3 Pro?
I've tried with stock global fasboot rom's (stable and developer) and get a error after login with child's account, that mentions minimum requirements of android version and Google Play Services.
Also tried several customs rom's (Nougat, Oreo and Pie), with the same result...
I know Family Link works on custom rom's, because I had it on my Moto G 2014 (Titan), with Lineage 14.1.
Best regards.
Anyone?
I've search troughtout the Internet, still could'nt figure it out...

Bypassing Family Link may be somewhat easy, doing it without me finding out it's a little bit trickier...
But my question isn't about the advantages or disadvantages of parental control in smartphones.
I tried also setting a family link child account in pocophone, and still get the message with the requirements, although the phone is running android O.
Maybe it's Xiaomi incompatibility?

I dont think its anything to do with hardware compatibility.
Are u sure all ur kids phone have android oreo.
Go to google product forums and search keywords family link doesnt work. May be u will find some answers.
I already tried with different roms M N O. Fresh install and latest gapps.
Always get the message - this device needs newer software - when adding child account.
Also did login with my account, updated apps in playstore, removed my account and add child account. Same result.
Searched the web, found 2 or 3 similar cases, without solution...

If ur kids phone gps is turned off. Can u remotely activate gps and check his location? also can u remotely activate his sim data on.
How google family link is unique ? Is there any alternative app ?
Family link it's very complete in features, but one of the main reasons I want to use it is because of my daughter's Google account, that already as lot's of data, photos, messages, contacts...
It is a child account, and I can't log in on any phone without family link.

I think u cant use it if ur kid is 13 and above. Also Now they have split family link into 2 apps For parents and children.
Also check if ur phone and kids phone shouldnt be rooted. May be Selinux for all phones should be enforcing and not permissive. I m Not sure if it is requirement. I m just saying.
Are u on custom rom?
Also i think strong apps likes family link should be system app and should be included in gapps package which cant be uninstalled easily. And can be removed only from recovery.
And it should not be user app. User app are easy to trick and can be easily uninstalled.
Family Link is working fine in Moto G 2014, with Lineage 14.1. Fresh install with micro gapps. On first boot, when asked for google account, I put my daughters account and it automatically installs Family Link and the process runs smoothly, as described in Google support pages.
Very different with Kenzo. It always gives the message "this device needs newer software" when adding child account. Tried with many custom roms and stock.
I can live without it, and create a new adult account for my daughter, but this problem is getting really frustrating, and it's making my ocd twitch...

You can install telegram and direct chat with devs on telegram chat. May be they might give some answers. Search and join any kenzo group or any specific rom groups.
So I finally got Family Link working with Kenzo.
I flashed miui global stable through miflash and relocked the bootloader, and it worked.
As mentioned, in Moto G 2014, with unlocked bootloader, family link works fine, so maybe it's xiaomi thing...
I prefer global dev (miui 10), but I'm tired of changing roms
please HELP me

Hello. Just today, I began to solve the same problem as you did some time ago. Could you please advise me how you managed to get to NOTE 3 Original ROM and lock BOOTLOADER? Any MiFlash I can't run properly on my PC. If you could advise me where you downloaded the functional MiFlash and the official ROM, I would be grateful for this valuable information. My daughter cannot use her account on this phone because of the Family Link malfunction on NOTE 3. I have a version of Windows 10 on my computer or I have a MacBook. Thank you for every answer. When you back up everything and restore it again, you will have as little space as now.
Get a file manager like this one:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alphainventor.filemanager
It will show you which apps or files take up the space on your phone (see screenshot attached). Delete apps and files you don't need and only then make a backup
Here's another great app that will help finding out what takes up the most space - DiskUsage

Honestly all custom ROMs will be basically the same since pretty much all of them are AOSP based. They all should have Italian language. The only difference you will experience might be in some tweaks that other ROMs don't include out of the box. LineageOS might be a good starting choice since it gets frequent updates, it's very popular and it's one of the most basic ones out there, maybe start with that one. Something like Resurrection Remix would add many more tweaks but visually they both will be similar. I chose AOSiP since it's fairly basic but had some useful tweaks LineageOS didn't include and it gets updated just as frequently.
If you don't know how AOSP compares to MIUI, maybe check some Youtube videos to see how the interface looks like. Note that camera performance/quality might be slightly worse when compared to MIUI. MIUI also might have features, AOSP does not have. It's screenshot taking capabilities are much better for example. Audio volume out of the box might also be much lower when compared to MIUI so you will probably need to fix that.
1. Hopefully you have Snapdragon chipset since development for Snapdragon is more active than for Mediatek
2. Pick a well known/popular ROM (basically sort by views and pick something that has official in it's title). I wouldn't download anything from someone's Dropbox/Google Drive
3. Choose Android 10 or 11, no need to install anything below
4. Choose ROM that has frequent updates so your security patch is up to date
Before ROM installation you need to unlock your bootloader and flash custom recovery (TWRP for example). All these processes have guides here in XDA. I don't know if 4X differs from 4 so better read about that before doing anything
Ok. Thank you very much....i'll try....
Hey guys, this is my first post. I've downloaded a couple games I really wanna try (i.e Arena Breakout) but due to my phone being on 32bit android 13 (one ui 5) none of the apks are installing. Your OS is arm64; pretty much all devices and current Android versions are 64 bit, and the Google Play Store has stopped carrying 32 bit only apps.
The issue you are having is not likely related to architecture. Where are you trying to install the app from, and what issue are you having?

As well as project evo online
Unless I'm looking at the wrong app, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile isn't available yet. I can't even find Project Evo.
What are the two apps in the screenshot, are you unable to install them?
Keep in mind that app developers can specify which devices the app is compatible with. If your device is not on their list, you won't be able to install the app. The only way around this is to root with Magisk and use MagiskHide Props Config to spoof a different OS signature. The Galaxy A13 isn't exactly a high end device. This could also be due to what platform the developer supports; they might favor Exynos over MediaTek. Do you have the 4G or 5G version of the A13?
Go to Play Store > Profile icon top right > Settings > About, look for Play Store Certification at the bottom. Does it say "Device is certified"?
