Hi,
My Xperia 1 J9110 shows wrong system size when I downgrade, upgrade or even use Xperia Companion to repair it.
Why does this happen ? How do I fix it to show the system as 16GB, Now the system is 1.1 GB and other apps 28 GB.
Thank you.

Will be possible in the future to change it? also right now is divided by system/apps/data, would be possible to change it to system/data and use the same partion for apps and data?.
The system partion is now about 2gb isn`t too much for ICS how much can weight a normal system?
Not really, it's hardcoded in the bootloader. 2GB will be enough for any android version. AOSP ICS is about 200mb, Sony's version is about 400.
Well 2GB is too much, we don`t have SD card slot on Xperia U so is not like we can waste memory, such a shame that we cannot change the partions, thx for the reply.

Enabling virtual memory requires root and makes the device slower, so this isn't a solution for you.
Try instead to disable as much of all bloat-ware you can in you phone. This will increase the performance. In ICS, goto settings -> apps -> all -> choose app -> disable (or uninstall)

since you have unlocked bootloader, try using some custom kernel available for your phone, it will be helpful
So i just checked XperiFIrm and it says 1281-1806 - Singapore market its updated to 23.1......... Witch is lolipop, But when i try to update via OTA or PC Companion it says Phone up to date !
Im not from singapore but my phone Customization is. Is there anything i can do or i just need to wait more?
xperia lollipop move to sd problem
It seems after I updated to lollipop it has sd card support but when I tried move to app to sd it just move sd(internal memory) it doesn't move the app to sdcard1.. Can anyone please help me fix this?
so i just reset my phone to the factory settings, and after unistalling and deactivating some stuff i noticed
that i should have like 1gb free, but i still have 500mb. What the hell?
Android System - 4,03GB
Apps - 1,09GB
Available - 571MB
i even cleaned cache, but i still don't see my 1gb anywhere, this is strange because when i bought the phone i could get 1GB internal storage
by doing the same. Is this a visual bug or something?
Here the same, but i have the same freespace with 8gb internalstorage. I guess its a bug.
Same here.
Had 7.5 / 8 GB used on internal storage. You'd think I could install 400 MB system update, but no, I had to free 0.5 GB more.
Same here...updated the phone just now. Had to clear cache for all apps and remove a lot.
I wish there was a root for locked bootloader so I could remove all this bloatware.
Edit: After the update I have 6,53GB free..? How did that happen?
Hello, i have this problem:
I have Xperia P (LT22i) with no sd card slot and there is an emulated "sd storage"
which is ok and i install almost everything i can on it.
I have rooted device, deleted useless apps, also i'm on "original" rom,
not modded, there is no bloatware from any operator.
I am using a program which has capability of moving installed apps to "SD card" (emulated)
- Jumobile System App Remover which is very useful.
But - almost every app leaves some data in too small for me - 2GB internal "device memory" storage.
I do not store lot of files in the "SD card" so my question is - can i somehow change the partition sizes?
Lower the "SD card" capacity and increase the device memory storage, lets say, from 2 to 3GB ?
I want a stable solution, with Link2SD there were some problems and it's more time-consuming.
Can i somehow edit the firmware file and flash the phone with a modified partition table?
I have Flashtool 0.9.18.6 (this version works ok, newer version was giving errors) and FW: 4.1.2 LT22i 6.2.A.1.100 Central Europe
