[CLOSED] [Q] LG K51 stuck in bootloop - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Apologies if I make any mistake since English isn't my native language and I am new here.
Recently the phone was sent to a service center to remove the simlock(T-mobile) and the people over there instead bricked the phone causing it to get stuck in a bootloop. I assume it happened because they probably tried to flash without erasing the device. It starts and shows the device logo and then shutdowns. This keeps on going until the battery is empty. I have never tinkered with stuff like this but I decided to give it a try at home. I downloaded the exact firmware of the device from https://lgrom.com/firmware/LMK500UM/TMO/K500UM20H_00/9583 and then tried to flash the device with various tools like LG flash tool from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lg-flash-tool-2-0-1-6-patched-working.3371668/ and LGUP/LGROMUP and the official LG bridge but none worked. I can get the device into download mode by pressing volume up button but I am unable to flash. The device seems to stay in download mode for like 20 seconds after which it restarts which causes the flash attempts to fail.
I have not yet tried ADB or fastboot because I don't think they will be of any use considering the situation.
I found another tool called LGFlashTool but it seems to require username and password

It seems like this is some sort of tool used by the official service people. I tried to mess with the megalock.dll to bypass the login but couldn't figure it out.
I searched XDA for any old threads regarding this issue but couldn't find anything so any help will be greatly appreciated.
And before anyone says to just send it to the service center again I would like to clarify that, I do not own this phone. One of my family member bought it from USA and came to visit us. She wanted to use the sim of this country so thats why it was sent to service center, it was kind of like a third party service center not official LG but still quite reputable and not shady. They have been trying to fix this for days but failed. It was brought home to sent to another place.

IMO wrong place.

[Q] S2 USB not working

Hi!
I have a problem with my S2.
So, yesterday, I tried to tether through USB and I saw it was't working and I said I'd change the ROM and it will work. I changed 3 ROMs and realised that USB wasn't working (neither in ROM or recovery) An hour ago, I tried connecting it to Odin and after 5 minutes, I succeded in Odin recognising it and I started flashing official software, but phone randomly disconnected. Now, if I try to connect it, I can't and the phone does not boot and does not enter recovery. What can I do?
PS: Sorry for bad english.
PS2: Tried connecting phone to 3 Windows 7 PCs and a Mac and it wasn't recognised at all.
worn out?
I'm not sure but I think the contact/connecter is worn out... I have a similar problem with random disconnects mainly when charging the phone but also sometimes with usb-pc connections. Changing to newer cables helps a bit but not entirely...
If it is not rom related I don't know what you can do more then trying another usb cable or buying a new phone. I guess that's not an option?
You also said your phone does not boot and you can't enter recovery... But what about "download mode"? As long as you can enter download mode you can fix the software in your phone but to do that you need the usb to be working correctly with no disconnects or else odin will mess up every time!
Replace USB board. Has been discussed here many times over the past month or so; search for those threads.
The USB port seems to be the weak point of the S2. It is seemingly the most replaced part for this phone.....I have had to do it myself, and have helped others in a similar situation. If you search my topics, you'll find one called 'video tutorial' which shows a step by step process for 'tearing down' an S2. This will help if you decide to replace the board yourself. Online shopping sites are a good place to source the part you need. But be advised, there are THREE different versions of this part (REV2.2, REV2.3 and REV2.4) see the photo below to find out where to look for the version number....
Make sure you get the same version as you remove, as a mismatch at this point is likely to cause other problems. ....

}
Finally....do not attempt to recover your phone until you have replaced this part.......the chances are that you will make things worse.....to the extent that your phone *may* become unrecoverable......

If you have not had any replies, then I'm afraid its for several reasons.
You can't get "flash" files for mediatek chips set phones, they simply do not exist anywhere.
You can only "flash" something on a device that has the architecture to allow flashing (ie a Qualcomm) I'm pretty sure you need to build your own twrp/clockwork mod recovery yourself for your pacific device.
Mediatek chipset devices are notoriously difficult to mod in anyway, and always the easiest to brick.
I'm no expert but you really need to have someone explain this to you, your phone is bricked and there is no way to recover it.
Its the very reason after having two of these very cheap Chinese clone phones that both went wrong after only a few months I will never purchase such a device again, even after one came to me pre rooted and with CWM installed, that did not stop it going horribly wrong after 6 weeks usage.
My only advice to you is to google the make/brand along with the model number firmware(for example this is how I did it)
Example-Epade S90 (NEO N002) 4.5 firmware
But its doubtful you would be able to flash anything as you won't have any working recovery, and most of the website for these firmwares will be in Chinese.
This is my own experience, not something I have read, someone with a lot more knowledge than me needs to explain this to you in a way you may understand more than I can explain.

The same thing happends, when i try to boot into emergency mode.
Is my phone hard bricked?
It is hard-bricked. You have my tutorial for hardbrick around. If you are hardbricked like this you don't need to open your phone. Search the forums.

Sorry. I can longer assist you. I am not in this business anymore. I even sold the L7 II. If someone wants to continue the work i will make all research public and all the stuff I made and not released, after talking to @maxx_hr
EDIT: As I remember error 100 is related to not installing the c redistributable or smth like that. there is one more file (a msi) as i remember, that needs to be installed. Also run as Admin.

Soft Bricked Honor 7C

Hi there,
I'd really be grateful for any help anyone can give. Yesterday, my Honor 7C got stuck in a boot loop, restarting at the blue Honor screen continually until the battery runs out. It's impossible to boot it into recovery mode using any combination of key presses. It just keeps restarting.
Can someone please help? I don't really mind losing the phone, but ideally I would like to save some of the data on it, as it had been a while since I backed up.
I understand that the way to do this might be to flash the stock ROM, root the phone and then run a data recovery program like EaseUs. Is this correct?
Also, I have tried to flash the stock ROM but really have no idea how to do it. I got half way through using SP Flash Tool before I realised that the Honor 7C is not a Mediatek phone.
Also, I can't find the stock ROM (LND-L29) anywhere except on pretty dodgy looking websites. Is there a reliable source for stock ROMs anywhere?
Any help would be really gratefully received. Thanks!
B7C
@Bricky7C
Your Honor 7C has a Qualcomm chip-set hence you might use free-of-charge QPST ( read: Qualcomm Product Support Tool ) to re-flash device's Stock ROM.

Turns out my bootloop was caused by a hardware problem after all - ripping open the side of the phone solved it.
However, for anyone who stumbles across this thread with a similar problem, jwoegerbauer's suggestion of QPST was very helpful, but the tool on the site would not install for me on Windows 10. I kept getting an "installation was interrupted error". However, I found a working version of the tool at:
androidmtk dot com fslash download-qpst-flash-tool
[I'm a new user so XDA won't allow me to post a URL]
I scanned for viruses and the installation didn't cause me any issue, though I never ended up having to use it in the end.

Bootloop/Black screen of death after flashing boot.img

Well, it's a bit of a long story, so I'll try to be as short as possible.
Last year, and after hours of searching on the internet, I found the solution for "Custom binary blocked by frp lock" on this forum (here and here). Both methods promised to fix the lock without erasing my data, but I decided to try the second one (it consists of reinstalling only the boot image with Odin).
Fortunately it worked for me on the first try, and since this method was not well known on the internet, I decided to make a video tutorial to help those who had the same problem and wanted to keep their data.
The fact is that, unfortunately, this method didn't work for everyone, and in many cases it generated bootloops or black screens of death.
And my question is: does anyone know what could be the cause of this?
I tested it on SM-J710MN and SM-G532M, both running Android Marshmallow, and the bootloops/black screens occurred on devices running Android 6, 7, 8 and (I guess) 9 and 10.
Starting with Android 6 FRP on any such Android device is automatically enabled once a Google account is logged in to a device. The only way to get rid of it is by removing the account from the device into which it has been synced.

Thanks for answering.
Maybe I did not express myself in the correct way, but actually I was referring to the block that does not even allow to boot the device and only shows words in red, as seen in this image.

}
But beyond that my question is about why does the bootloop or black screen happen after flashing the boot.img file? Does it have to do with a different/incompatible version of Android/binary/csc or something like that?
