OK i have looked everywhere for the answer. So if this has been already answered i apologize ahead of time.
I installed nand android on my hd2 and now when ever i move from one location to next I lose cell single and sometimes it can take up to 45 min for it to come back. And the single is horibal and may only last fore a short time.
I have removed android gone back to windows mobile.I have changed radios, I have changed roms It didn't do as soon as i installed android it was after a few days I cant seem to fix it
After restart, (especially "violent" restart) my HTC HD2 show me a wrong time and date... Can I fix it?
Is it possibly date and time of the first time you started your HD2 after flashing your ROM?
If yes, welcome to the club.
Unfortunately I haven't found a solution until now.
I have not paid attention to the wrong date... 're probably right about that wrong date has since flashing my ROM.... When I think about it, the date and time are disrupted only after violent (remove the battery) reboot... Anyway, thanks for your reply!

Hi
in this situation maybe your batery is weak , try change a new button batery inside your phone.
I have exactly the same problem - I was already thinking about sending my Leo in for warranty just cause of this.
But for me it doesn't just happen when I take out the battery while the phone is on - it also happens when I take it out after powering it off.
When I only leave it out for a few minutes the clock just "freezes" so when I switch it back on the clock is a few minutes behind the current real time.
But when I leave it out for a longer time it reverts to some time in June this year (probably the date when I first flashed it too).
I'm so happy that I read this because other than that I'm sooooo happy with my Leo and I was really sad that I have to send this perfectly working phone in for a replacement just for this little issue - to then maybe get a replacement phone which has much more serious issues.
So thank you very much for this info
Just one question:
Is this battery soldered or not?
thx

I think that I have the same problem, I'm losing up to a day randomly, I'll check my phone and notice that it says that the time is several hours earlier.
Same here. I use SP TimeSync to fix it.

How can you use that to automatically detect that the time on the phone is incorrect?
problem got solved by ... restarting the phone
cant believe i spent over 3 hours trying to find a solution for that
lol.....Thanks for taking the time to mention this ! It took me an hour and half already, untill I came across your post !
Hi all,
After Oreo update my Samsung Galaxy tab s3 wifi stock version looses date and time every time I turn off.
I sent feedback to Samsung Italy and they say that Knox is blocking date update.
They told me to bring it to assistance..
Obviously I formatted it so many times..
I just want to ask to community if I am the only one with this problem.
As a workaround I take data and time from internet.. but it's quite frustrating.

You are not the only one! This hapens to me every time I turn off or restart the tablet; even when I set date and time manually. Every time I restart or turn off, the same date and time is shown: october 29 2018(!?) 06:34am. With Nougat , I had no issue.

Last time I wrote the default starting date was 15th August.
After that date it started to store data!
Everything was OK.. Till some weeks ago: I received a security update so... Now the new default date is... 24th December!
So: now I have to wait till.. Christmas!
I can't believe nobody complains about this really bad thing!
I just restarted my Tab S3 no issues with the date. It is correct. What is the last update you received? My security patch level is April 1, 2018 and it says that is the latest for me.
My security patch is 1st August 2018.
Version is T820XXU2BRG3 but i think is something related to Italian version..
Fixed with latest firmware..

Hi community! I hope you are, as it always has been, able to help me.
So my old phone finally died last weekend and I got the old Sony Xperia Z3 Compact from my brother.
The phone hasn't been used for the last two years basically. After I got it, I recharged it, unlocked the bootloader, flashed the latest LOS 16 ROM and rooted it.
My issue now is that, after each reboot, my phone forgets what time and date we have. Only after it has connection to either Wifi or network, it resets time and date to the right values. The funny thing is, that, after rebooting, the phone always thinks that its last Saturday, 11:14 AM, exactly the time I switched it on for the first time (after it wasn't used for the last two years).
The problem is a very small one I admit, it is annoying though to always have Whatsapp, my birthday calendar and my data usage protocol app complain about the wrong date after each reboot. I already googled the problem, but did not find anything useful, and in the thread for my ROM no-one has experienced the problem either.
Could it be that the phone got deeply discharged during the last two years, so that now the battery (?) for the Real Time Clock of the phone is discharged and the phone simply cannot remember date and time due to hardware?
Thank you for any idea you might have.
