oneplus 7t pro, Android 12 update, transparent spots appeared on the screen - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

"I have a OnePlus 7T Pro phone. After the Android 12 update, transparent spots appeared on the screen. It's like there's another window underneath the wallpaper, and there are transparent shapes that look like window buttons. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone have a suggestion for a solution? Thank you for your help."

two files added, second one is what i see on the screen.

Firstly, this is the wrong forum. You should be asking in the Q&A section
Second, I'm amazed I have to say this, but given you can't see it in the screenshot it's not a software issue. You either have burn in/retention or your display has developed a fault.

Thank you for your answer. I will move this thread to right place if possible.

[Q] Help Simplicity V5!!

hello friends,
I'm changing a few things from my rom to design it to my liking. I use V5 simplicity, can anyone help me? I want to change the color to the notifications received in the notifications panel, leave a screenshot of what I mean (marked in red). I would like someone to tell me what is the png to change its color.
Also I would like to change the color of the window menu exits by pressing the lock button, which shows icons: airplane mode, screenshot, reboot, recovery .... I would like to change the white to another color coming out.
Anyone can tell me the path of these two changes I want to change? I'm going crazy and can not find them, anyone can hecharme a hand? thank you!
Questions goes to the Q&A. Putting [Q] in front of the thread doesn't change it. Next time post it there.
Edit: Oh, and we have this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2089279&highlight=cannot+flash that helps cleaning the general thread.

[Q] What's the name of this ROM?

Aparently I cannot post this question elsewhere so I ask you all here.
I saw once a custom ROM that i liked very (very!) much. The idea behind it and the general looks of it. But i don't remember how it was called.
Maybe you could help me a little. I'll try to describe it:
-it has a clean interface like a list on the homescreen (not like classic android homescreen more like windows phone 7/8 homescreen)
-every message or email it is shown in this windowish homescreen
-every item on the homescreen has on the left side color stripes depending of what kind of item it is (email/message/notification etc)
-the central item on the homescreen menu is somehow a little highlighted
That is all i remember from the screenshot i saw. For my device (S5660), the ROM developement i remember it was interrupted or stopped but i really want to find it...maybe someone ported it...
I also remember the developers built a website especially for the ROM and it was mainly for high-end devices. I found the ROM very original and practical and i truly want to find it.
So... anyone knows the name of the ROM?
Thank you so much in advance.
I don't know but your device developement has no where ner stopped, it has android 4.0. Here is a link to all the roms for it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1407
thanks but...
Thanks for the quick response but i didn't say that the entire android developement for my device has been stopped no no...you get me wrong. I said that i remember clearly that the developement on the ROM i'm searching for had been stopped for gio.. Thanks for the link anyway... I've tried to find it but nothing so far. I still hope that someone with a high end device knows what i'm looking for.

is this what you are talking bout? http://spiritdsgn.deviantart.com/art/Windows-Phone-Style-for-Android-355556107
unfortunetly it is not
It is a nice finding so thanks man...but apparently it isn't what i'm seeking. The main screen It is more like a list of notifications in real time wich have on their left side tiny colored stripes depending of their nature. But again thanks for the answer.

[Q] icons

My wife just got her I-605. There is an icon on the status bar at the top of the screen that looks like an eye with 3 lines above it that go off on three angles. I have looked everywhere and cannot figure out what this means. Looked in the phone help icon section and it is not there. Searched here and cant find anything that is that specific. Anyone know what this icon means? thanks G

[Q] Unable to place shortcuts in Themer dock

Hello, newb here to XDA, Themer, and Android in general. Hopefully someone will be so kind as to be able to help with my issue. I've searched the forums to no avail.
So I'm trying to build a theme within Themer and, for the most part, all is going well. But I just cannot figure out how to get the dock to accept icons/shortcuts/Themer actions so I can put the phone, internet, app drawer, sms, and camera icons there. 'Show Dock' is checked in the Advanced Settings, but I'm unable to actually get anything to stick in the dock area... any icons dragged to that area just bounce out. I attached a screen shot illustrating the problem.
Am I missing something obvious? Or maybe the Themer Beta app hasn't had this functionality implemented yet? I've seen working docks in Themer themes ('Twilight' for example), but maybe those designers used other tools to build the dock and then imported it into Themer?
I'm using a Moto G with Android 4.4.2 and Themer 1.47. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi defektiv1, welcome to the community.
How did you create this theme? Was it created from an earlier theme? If so, which one? There might be a widget blocking the apps.
If you use the Twilight theme, then remove the icons, are you then able to insert your own?
As long as the "Show Dock" option is enabled, a dock should be present and allow you to place icons within it.

I believe it was the 'Rainy Day' theme I started with as a base. I think there were only two widgets in that one and I deleted them both, and then turned on 'Show Dock' in the settings as that particular theme doesn't use one.
Experimenting with the 'Twilight' theme, I tried moving the icons off the dock into the main area and then back to the dock. The icons for some reason ended up smaller than they were in the default setup, and also aligned a bit higher, but they did still function as they should, staying in the dock area while swiping through the pages. Attached an image showing the smaller icons. I also tried replacing the icons that came with the theme with a random app from the app drawer, and it worked fine, except again the odd sizing and alignment issue.
The dock area is definitely there in my theme; when the 'Show Dock' option is unchecked, that area is just part of the normal desktop area of each page, and moving things there is no problem, but of course things don't stay there when moving between pages. When 'Show Dock' is enabled, it won't allow me to drop anything there... any icons dragged there from any of the main screen areas just automatically bounce back to where they were before the attempted move.
Went ahead and attached a copy of the zip in case it might be helpful.
Thanks a lot for the help, this could be really fun if I can just get this issue sorted.

More experimenting: When I first started building this theme, I had set the desktop grid size to 8x16 on the recommendation of the article "How to correctly lay out and anchor your themes" on the themerapp.com site. Thinking that might be related to this issue, I tried setting the grid to 5x8, what I assume is the default for my phone, and now the dock area is working as it should. So it seems changing the grid size has something to do with this issue. The smaller size and higher positioning of icons only happens when initially dragging them onto the dock from the main screen area. Once I selected a new Themer action to put on a home screen, the icons on the dock correctly re-sized and re-positioned automatically. Attached an image sequence to illustrate. Hope this helps find the bugs so I can use other grid sizes with the dock.
thank you: Good:

Once I passed your errors onto the developers, they told me that they were aware of both issues and that a fix would arrive soon. The latest update (now 1.49) should have been the update to fix these problems If you run into any other bugs, please let us know!

OK, just tried with the update and the dock is working now with an 8x16 grid. Cool, thanks!

Question to developers

Hello everyone!
I want to know if it's posible to make the stock Launcher slide down from any part of the Desktop and open the notification panel instead of the hisearch bar.
I know this is possible using third part launchers and i had been using nova Launcher for the last 5-6 years, but i like the stock look on emui so im interested on that and thats the reason i ask the developers because i think it cannot be something so hard to do but very useful. I don't know how Huawei did not thought about that...
Up for subscribing to your thread so i will know when a developer that has a Huawei device and is mooding EMUI 10 apps ? will answer your question ?
PS. ATM i can say that i don't know any, but who knows, maybe there are some @ here, using the phone as is, because for this device (and all released after this one) there is no bootloader unlocking codes / root...
Sent from my VOG-L29 using XDA Labs
Yo,
I have a little trick with an app called VividNG.
I have assigned to the top right side of my screen a zone where I can pull down to open the notification panel.
After doing this you will be able to open the notification panel this way in every app. Just use your thumb.
It's not as easy as swiping from anywhere on the screen but it's better than nothing at all and having to reach the top of the screen everytime.
Hope that it will help someone !
