[Q] Strange behavior with louder volume hack

Hi there,
I just applied Steves 1.9.1 on my Streak5 and chose the volume hack to be included into the rom. But the only thing that has changed, is that now my device shows strange behavior while talking on the phone handsfree via loudspeaker.
There are only two stages of volume left: Very low (which is when I set the volume from 0 to 1/3) and very loud (which is when I set the volume from 1/3 to 100%)
And it only happens while making a phone call, not while using headset or playing music.
Any idea?
Greetings,
Dirk.
No ideas..?
Too bad :-(
I just flashed 1.9.1 without the volume hack, and everything is back to normal again. Is there any other way to increase the volume?
I want to know this too (how increase phone volume, specifically for listening to media with headset)

MAX call volume?

So ive noticed this since ive gotten my Razr. I was hoping it would be fixed in the last update but it wasnt.
Ive kinda put it in the back of my head till just now.
Whenever I make/receive a phone call (Vz number or google voice) the call volume is automatically at 100% LOUD. Not terrible when im holding the phone to my head, but what just pissed me off, is that i have my headphones in and called my voice mail. FULL BLAST in my ears
All previous phones ive had will remember the last set volume and keep it at that for the next incoming/outgoing call.
Ive looked thru the settings and it looks like you can only change the volume for: ringtone, media, alarm, and notification. Am i missing something or are a lot of others having this problem?
+1
I am using a very sensitive / efficient IEMs, Westone UM3Xs; SPL rated 124dB/mW. In other word, at 1mW of power, it can produce listening experience during F1 starting grid from grandstand seat!.
I am shocked and very surprised when "Low battery" notification blasts off while listening music or podcasts. For normal listening, I set the volume LESS than 50%, and MINIMUM level during voice call.
I wish we can do separate volume levels for headphone output.
Thank you.
Anyone else have this issue?
I can control the volume separately, (normally you need the device connected if your using the side buttons) but you can change BT, ear, headphone, etc.
... and the volume change DOES persist.
So perhaps this is something with your config.

earphone volume too loud only in calls

Hi all,
I find out that on my wileyfox swift 2+ the volume in calls are definitely too loud when the earphones is inserted, even if I set the lowest audio level from menu, equalizer app or while calling, while having good volume sound when playing sounds from any application (not in call), with or without earphones (yeah, it could be a bit higher, but for me is ok).
I tried two type of earphone (xiaomi hybrid and another pair of samsung) but everyone is experiencing the problem. It's not a problem of telephone card, I tried 2 different cards and nothing changed.
I'm the only one who is experiencing this problem? what do you recommend?
Thanks.
Yep, I have exactly the same problem with my Swift 2+. I've also tried several sets of headphones, plus a couple of volume control apps. I have tried engineering mode, but *nothing* reduces the volume to an acceptable (non-painful) level. I've used the same headphones successfully in a Samsung Galaxy S2, which proves that it's the Wiley Fox phone.
Is this a hardware issue? Am I going to have to solder a resistor into the headphones to reduce the volume?
If I'm not able to find a solution soon then I will have to buy another phone, and it won't be WileyFox.

Low bluetooth volume on MI A1

Hi,
yesterday somehow while listening to music using bluetooth headphones I recieved a call and after the call ended, volume of headphones lowered A LOT.
Used devices:
Xiaomi MI A1, android version 8.1.0
Bluetooth headphones Bluedio T6 - there are not any volume control buttons. Volume is managed by broadcasting device.
Problem description: Even though I have bluetooth media volume at 100% in mobile phone, the sound coming out of bluetooth headphones is way too quiet.
How did it happen?: I had headphones connected simultaneously to MI A1 and Win10 PC. I listened to music through Win10. Suddenly I had an incoming call - input switched automatically from Win10 to MI A1. I've accepted that call and switched the output from headphones to earspeaker (switched in MI A1). After closing the call, I continued listening to music from Win10. Later, after I started listening to media from MI A1 I could not get the volume to previous level - it is way too quiet. When connected to Win10, volume is completely OK - so it seems like to be just problem with mobile phone.
Most ridiculous thing is, that if I use the heaphones to have a call and adjust the volume of bluetooth call to maximum it is really loud - how it should be. Same goes for notifications. Basically just media is really quiet even tough having the volume set to maximum.
What I already tried
Factory reset
Unpair/pair
Enable/disable absolute volume
Other version of AVRCP
Other bluetooth headphones - seems ok, but they have their own volume control and I have no idea how they sounded like before, so I canĀ“t be sure if there is difference or not.
Basically nearly same problem was being discussed here (URL should be here, but as a new XDA user I am not allowed to send link - so if you google: "Bluetooth Audio too low... but Notification sounds over bluetooth are loud." it is first link.) but without the conclusion.
Thank you for any responses.

Question How to increase the microphone volume?

Hello. There is a Pixel 6 that is not very satisfied with the volume of the microphone, Ruth is right with the magisk on the phone. Please tell us how to make the microphone as loud as possible.
Its not about boosting your microphone, which is adequately sensitive. Its about the receiver turning up their speaker volume. The telephone network normalizes the volume level and this is outside of your control.
