Planning to install LineageOS, need the USB drivers for the 9R. Plugging my phone into my PC won't open a driver folder like it used to, even after a factory reset.

i5500 does not connect to PC.

Hello everybody,
I have a problem with my Samsung i5500. Every time i try to connect it to a PC it is not detected as a mass memory device and gos straight into charging mode just like i would connect the phone to the socket charger. The PC does not recognize the phone, it doesn't do anything, just like i never connected the phone through the USB port, but the phone is charging.
I tried to connect the phone on 3 different computers using 3 different micro-usb cables. On all 3 computers I installed the latest drivers for the i5500 and the same problem occurs every time.
Can anyone please help me with an advice. What should I do in order to get my phone connected and recognized by the PC?
In case you it helps you to know, I am using the stock 2.2 ROM and the phone is not rooted.
Thank you in advance.
i have EXACTLY the same problem, and it is not drivers problem. Any advice?
hey guys, This is the link to download for drivers.
http://d-h.st/iPk
If you use windows 8 or 8.1 then you will have to extract the file you download from the link above and then right click on the .exe file and go to 'properties', in that go to 'compatibility' and in that choose your operating system as "WINDOWS 7" and check the option below 'always run as administrator' and there you go. Double click on .exe file and follow steps. Install drivers. No need to restart the pc also. (if your phone also do not detect after installing these drivers only then restart).
Can you just try this out? I know it is maybe not driver problem but still you can try this.

Phone is not recognized by usb connecting to PC.

Hi help me. :crying:
I have installed CM9 stable. My phone is work only with charger. I am sure that's not problem with USB port, because only usb mode works if i go in options -> storage -> usb connection if i change from mass storage to MTP or PTP several times when in phone appears on the notification bar information about connection. It is temporary fix until i reconnect it. I also tried in CWM recovery and nothing happens likewise fastboot or flashmode and it is the same, only led is lightening. Nothing help like restoring backup from recovery. It can be caused by OTG USB modules ? How can i back to stock rom ? (I tried PC Companion and SEUS). I think something is wrong with usb modules in the phone (not Windows or PC, etc.). It is a option to flash kernel or rom without using PC? What can i do with that ? Please help me
Install all drivers for all devices/modes from flashtool (installation folder) -> drivers. Then try again
Otherwise reinstall or update PC Companion or Sony Update Service, they install some drivers, too. Or you try another PC :good:
I'm sorry but it's impossible to flash a kernel without your PC...
Sent from my Nexus 7 running Android 4.2.2
Ok, thanks for the advice. I am gonna try this, but how i should install drivers if nothing appears in the device manager in PC. Only what i see it is a called like „sony sa0102 adb interface" and only if i switching between usb modes in phone settings. Maybe the issue is in the phone like i write earlier about this. The smartphone dont detect usb cable present or he doesnt switching a driver for the connecting. Thanks again for the reply.
Sure its not the problem of the cable?
Don't forget to hit thanks
It can't be problem with cable because very rarely works in while when i changing usb modes in settings phone. But, thanks i will try on another cable. My kernel is from CM9 stable in zip file, but on this kernel only will work CM9 or nothing else like ROMs based on the cyanogenmod for example CM10 or AOKP ? I, one day connect usb otg (host) cable to phone and charger. This cable had 2 inputs male but also i have converter usb (female-female). And only work mouse and the keyboard (without usb flash disks, drives, etc.). I would be grateful for the answer my question. Thanks.

This device cannot start (Code 10) - PC Android USB error?

I am using Windows 7 64 Bit..
I have followed the correct procedure for installing the USB vcom mtek drivers and still I get this error.. It says : This device cannot start. (Code 10)
I have tried restarting the computer with the phone turned on and off, I've also tried changing the USB connection settings on the phone to"media device (MTP).. Also tried the "USB Storage" option.
No joy.. Any clues as to how to install this drive without the code 10 error????
I want to flash my phone but I can't because the Smart Phone Flash Tool cannot connect to my device in the way it want's to.
I can navigate the files of my phone via the PC though..
When I changed my USB connection settings type to 'Media Device (MTP) I could see 'Leagoo Lead_5' in my Portable Devices section of my Device Manager on my PC..
Does anybody use these forums?
What make and model of phone is it?
with the make and model we can help more by finding better drivers
but another thing to try right now, is try plug it into a different USB port(one at the back thats part of the motherboard rather than a expansion front style port)

Help needed! Recovery mode disappeared.

Hi all,
I tried to flash the latest TWRP but for some reasons it's messed up. Now I can't enter recovery mode and just wondering if there is a way to re-install it.
I tried to do it via Fastboot mode but my PC(windows 10) can't recognize the phone when in Fastboot mode. I tried several ways(e.g. reinstall USB driver, remove / install driver via device manager, etc.) but no luck.
Any help/suggestion is appreciated.
Try with the original cable. It will work for sure. I had almost the same issue, tried various drivers, etc. Once I've connected the phone with its original cable, it was recognized instantly.
Strange, other people say, the original cable is bad quality??
I would use a different cable but an usb port on the mainboard no a front usb port.
Also i do all the adb und fastboot stuff on a linux machine, it's less struggeling with drivers then.
The original cable still works though, I'm not so sure what bad quality can that be... And yes, I haven't used it in these 3 years more than half of the time. In the past year I was using a 3m Ugreen cable which didn't do the trick for drivers, still working well.
However, with some changes in the kernel or whatsoever, the original cable doesn't charge the phone anymore while connected to the computer, but it ensures a good data transfer.
PS: USB type-C is more complex and not standardized for all manufacturers, which is a bit surprising, but that's it.

Click to collapse
you need to format whole phone in oder to be recognized by pc.try first deleting all drivers for x2.go to windows in device manager, reboot pc and reconnect phone to pc by using usb type c cable
thank you for all the recommendations. I will try original cable and other PC using Linux and see if that works.
Update: My windows 10 PC installed the wrong driver when phone is in fastboot mode. Working fine now after deleting it from Device Manager and reinstalling.

LG Zone 3 (VS425PP5) Drivers

Hello,
I have a LG Zone 3 phone (Verizon) and I'm unable to connect it to the PC for ADB. It's running Android 5.1.1. My PC host is Windows 10.
So far I've managed to enable Developers Options and USB Debugging already. In storage settings the USB connection is set to MTP currently. Sadly when I connect the cable to PC nothing happens (I've tried connecting other devices to the PC to rule out the cable problem and they run just fine, so I'm guessing it's not the cable). I've tried to install different versions of drivers but none of them worked, list of files and tools I've already went through:
adb-setup-1.4.3.exe (LGAndroidDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0_All_Win7.exe, LGUnitedMobileDriver_S4981MAN36AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.6.exe)
Android_Fastboot__mini_ADB_Drivers.7z
LG USB Drivers All Phone For Windows.rar
LG_Mobile_Driver_v4.8.0.zip (LG Mobile Driver v4.8.0.exe)
LGBridge_Setup.exe
LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.8.0.exe
LGUP_Ver_0_0_3_23.zip (LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_3_23.msi + LGUP_Install_Ver_1_14_3.msi)
UniversalAdbDriverSetup.msi
Still no luck. I got so lost right now that I don't know how to proceed. Please help me figure out which drivers exactly I need to use for the ADB to work with this device.
