Question Asus Unlock App not working - Asus Zenfone 9

Recently received an Asus Zenfone 9 and the Asus Unlock App is returning "Failed to unlock your device, please try again later.[24802]" when attempting to unlock the bootloader. While running logcat I also see the following HTTP output:

Me too, even got a message said "incompatible device model". Was run on A12 RAW ROM.

I got the same error on my Zenfone9 (AI2202).
Is there something wrong with the asus server?

Hello I am Japanese.
I bought a device at a local electronics store today and was unable to unlock it, so I looked into it.
According to the official ASUS forum, it seems that the server used to unlock the device is under maintenance and cannot be used.
The maintenance period seems to be 3-7 days.

I mean, if it's going to be this long, I'd like to see some kind of announcement.
Anyway, I'm using it normally without rooting.
I guess pixel is the easiest phone to tinker with....

If google could make a model with jack output, smaller device, 6inch screen with a good flagship I would love to get one. But most people like and keep using >6.3 inch smartphone... And see what many companies doing right now. Selling large phones.... I wonder what size asus plan to make in their future zenfone?

I have the global Rog Phone 7 ultimate from the first release date in europe,tried unlocking it after a few days and I cant do it with the official unlocking app. I get the same error as everyone else, currently it's impossible to unlock any asus phones in the official way with that app. I am tired of waiting,almost 2 months without any update from them. Is there a way to unlock my rog phone 7 ultimate bootloader and root it? It runs the WW stock rom from Asus

Unfortunately, I don't think so. I suspect the keys reside in Asus' servers, so unless we can find an exploit (and compromise the device's security), we have no choice but to wait and pressure them to fix their servers.

ASUS "Unlock Device App"
Since my question was deleted in an open thread by the moderators I open my own. Many customers are facing the problem that they can't unlock their devices with the official app by ASUS (probably server down) and the moderators seems do doge every post or question about it but I will it try it...

tzapps.mdt is present on the rom but i don't no why is not load the firmware image
some one have a idea to help me ?

Xposed is installed but not active.

I got error when i installed exposed, exposed framework version 87 is installed but not active, please check log for details.
I searched forum and tried solutions.
1) uninstalled and reinstalled - not worked
2) delete file name disabled- there is no such file.
3) disable resource hook - not worked

Here's what I did : install dvdandroid material xposed installer (search for it on xda), and making sure you've already uninstalled whatever xposed you had, choose the appropriate version from the framework screen. If you're on miui be sure to go to that tab, and choose the right version from there. Let me know if you need more help.

I9505 - All Media file types not working (no video or audio)

Hello People,
I'm hoping someone would be able to offer some advice/ a solution to the problem I'm having.
I was on a two year old version of PACMAN ROM and flashed the latest build, didn't like it so reinstalled my old ROM from a back up image. After I did this all media stopped working (no video/no audio), speakers work as I can still make calls. I have since flashed the latest build of PACMAN ROM and have now flashed Lineage ROM but the problem hasn't gone away.
Any Help would be very much appreciated as this is beyond my capabilities of fixing!

No Bluetooth after 7.1.1 upgrade (Wifi works)

Hi everybody,
I have a unlocked Moto Z, originally running stock android 7.0 but rooted. Everything worked like a charm until I upgraded to 7.1.1 After the update, bluetooth is completely disfunktional (wifi works!) - no other devices are detected by the phone and the phone itself is not detected by other phones. Bluetooth address in f4:f5:24:dc:ce:2a (hmm, wifi-mac is the same but ending with 2b - looks weird).
I did evereythink to reset settings, reflashed stock 7.0, flashed los, ... I even called Motorola support and they told me, that this is a known issue in the context of the 7.1.1 update and that they don't have solution for that. I was asked to send the phone in to Motorola Service (in Germany this is Ingram Micro Services GmbH) - because of my unlocked bootloader they send it back - unrepaired.
Does anyone have the same problem? Maybe found a solution to fix this bluetooth issue? Any other ideas are really appreciated!

@core720: Thread is about wifi issue, not bluetooth. Nevertheless, I flashed the referenced stock modem seperately, but it did not make any difference.
 @lollyjay: Thread describes a wifi/modem problem & solution. It seems to handle the same wifi problem than above. Solution looks similar (flashing different modem).
As I understand, bluetooth firmware is BTFM.bin , not part of modem firmware NON-HLOS.bin.

Tru dat. I was just wondering if you could flash that ROM to see if your BT problem is fixed.
I assume you have fastboot flashed the BTFM.bin again?

There's a new build out for the moto z force: NCL26.118-23-1, I have a feeling they fixed some of the issues. Problem is I can't flash it unless I have a full firmware image...

Yes, I flashed BTFM.bin - no change; and I flashed GRIFFIN_7.1.zip from erfanoabdi - no change.
I used SysLog app to gather some information about bluetooth status. But I cannot discover any hints for an error, everything looks okay for me:

Had the same problem and they told me in the support-chat it was an hardware-related issue (the guy sad bluetooth-problems related to the 7.1.1 update deactivated bluetooth permanently. So if you can switch bluetooth on, it should be hardware, not software)
I did not test, if it worked on 7.0 (got my phone two weeks ago and updated instantly) but i sent it back get an new one. Will update this thread once I test the new device.
Edit: decided to get my money back, so no more updates from me. I will buy a OP3. Good luck woth yours!
Having the same bluetooth issue here on my device as well, through the official OTA's (device is stock and still locked bootloader). Going crazy trying to figure out what is causing it..as it seemed to work prior to the October or November Security update, if i recall correctly. Motorola customer service seems to be blaming Google Play's Protect scanning feature...and dont offer any more assistance than book it in for repairs if that doesnt fix it.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it, beacause it is a hardware issue. If your bootloader is still locked, send the device in to Motorola support. They will "repair it" , i.e. you will receive a replacement device.
My bootloader was opened, so Motorola send it back unaltered. I was able to lock it but the device still shows "System: Modified". I read, that this might change with an OTA to a new major Android version, e.g. Oreo - so I am waiting... if it works, I will send the device in again to Motorola support.
Have you guys tried reflashing the radio using fastboot in bootloader mode?:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin

I remember when I had my Moto X Style, this would happen regularly when flashing some ROMs and was normally fixed by reflashing the radio that is correct for your phone. This would normally be found in the full stock image. In some cases, it had to be done twice. Some ROM images also have a separate file for Bluetooth and it might be worth flashing that too if it exists. I think it is normally labelled something like BTFM. I don't have any issues on my Moto Z though and it is completely stock. I used to tweak a lot on my Moto X Style which I gave to one of my parents and recently had to fix a similar issue by reflashing the modem. Make sure the modem you flash is the correct one or it can cause issues.

My stock (and locked) Moto Z has the same issue: Bluetooth died after installing an update (I don't remember which one exactly).
Motorola Customer Support told me to ship the device to a repair center, as the problem is hardware related.
I shipped it last week, in about one month (when I get it back) I'll see if they have actually replaced the motherboard or not. If they haven't, maybe there's a chance that Bluetooth can be restored by flashing something.
Has nobody found a fix? I really like my Moto Z but I need Bluetooth

I have the same problem on my moto Z. Furthermore I have a pop-up every 2sec who says something like "Not able to connect to bluetooth" even if I do not turn on the Bluetooth.
I use BT every day and I prefer not to loose weeks with a repair center.

I got my Moto Z back from the repair center after six months. They actually replaced the phone's motherboard.

Memory Injection: Call shared lib function inside remote process

Hello,
i'm currently able to call a function from a remote process by getting the PID, getting the base address in memory, copying the whole remote memory area into local memory area to find the function address by its signature and finally calling that function.
I've tested it successfully on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (32-bit + AOSP Bluetooth Stack), Sony Xperia X Compact (64-bit + AOSP Bluetooth Stack).
But on the OnePlus 7 Pro (64-bit + QTI Bluetooth Stack) the function returns 5.
I've set TRC_BTIF=5 in /system/etc/bluetooth/bt_stack.conf to see if the desired function is getting called because there should be a log output like:

libbluetooth_qti.so of the OnePlus 7 Pro is attached as well as the pre-compiled bpp_qti for aarch64.
I've got the signature by running: gdb -batch -ex "disassemble/r btif_storage_get_adapter_property" libbluetooth_qti.so | column -ts $'\t' | awk '{for (i=1;i<=NF;i++) if ($i~/^[a-f0-9]{2}$/) printf("\\x%s",$i)} END{print ORS}'
The executable can be pushed directly to the device (`adb push bpp_qti /data/local/tmp/`) and running `/data/local/tmp/bpp_qti get` as root should return the Bluetooth Device Class.
Maybe someone here has an idea why this isn't working on QTI bt stack devices (the ones for which this cpp code was made because Qualcomm is missing essential code to get/set the device class through Java API).
We also tried calling `btif_dm_get_adapter_property` directly to see if this is working. But it wasn't.
I'm really out of ideas now.
