I am a Xiaomi EU user, however recently I have been interested in Realme brand phones.
My question is the following: the Xiaomi EU rom adapts the Chinese rom to work similar to the Global rom. Among its novelties it presents the Xiaomi call app which is very good and other apps of the brand , so I would like to know if Realme's China rom has its own base applications, different from the global ones (google apps) and also if they have any special functionality? Also know the same about the Themes app.
Thank you for your help.

Hi I will receive my Redmi note 3 pro prime... 32gb/3ram snap650 tomorrow.
There so many versions of this phone that looking at the Rom's it's quite confusing with all the have the different boot loader unlocking ( I will go with official - I got the SMS ), different processor variants, different FP sensor, support for quick charging etc.
Anyway I would like to start of with any of the official Rom's and maybe in September after my holiday move on to CM or other. Which version I should go to are there any difference in options between the two ( apart of lack of gapps).
Any advice on different ROM's would be great!
Thanks
Go for developer china it has more functions but i prefer CM because i dont like Miui and now there is support for the new sensor in CM from santosh

Can the chinese developer version be flashed on global version Redmi note 3 (SD 650)? Also shuld i flash back the global developer ROM to unlock the bootloader officially..(i got the SMS)
Basic difference that I found are
1) you can get music online
2) you have accelerated downloads(not sure how much accelerated though )
3) you can install font and all themes (best one imo.. there are some amazing themes that you can't install in global )
With all this said I would not go for China developer ROM actually.
I gave it a try and trust me there were tons of ads ..and then also you'd the problem of installing Google apps (like contact sync and all)..go for global dev ROM or Xiaomi.eu Roms ..I didn't try Xiaomi.ru roms personally but I read they are much better
EU roms are the best.
-based on china dev
-minimum Gapps, all chinese bloatware & MIUI bloatware removed
-optimized with various fixes and tweaks
-faster than global dev
-regularly updated
-working theme store.
don't bother flashing any kernels. stick to stock...variety of small bugs with custom kernels.
chines Rom have some more functions
Hello,
I'm a new purchaser of a Redmi Note 4 Pro (MediaTek), and was just hoping to get clarification of what ROM class I should use.
Currently my phone seems to have a Chinese Stable Rom installed (it has MIUI 8.5 | Stable , 8.5.2.0(MBFCNED), as it does not have the Google Apps by default and it has the Mi App Store, mostly in Chinese.
I'm looking probably for a Global rom, I'm willing to try a custom, if reputable ROM. I specifically need both English language and Korean language input capability, and if the system can be in Korean too that's a plus.
Thanks for the advice, and if any more information is needed please advise.
Mediatek = no custom ROMs, except for MIUI ports like those in Xiaomi.eu (that includes Korean too). Use the nikel custom ROMs, not mido (mido is Qualcomm version).

Hi,
I'm almost decided to order a Reno x10 Zoom, but I can't seem to find a "true" global/international version of the phone, and I've never had a chance to use any phone with Chinese ROM with pre-installed Google Services while from Europe (Poland, to be precise).
Could an Oppo Reno x10 Zoom user be so kind to explain me the following concerns/answer my questions, please:
1. What's the actual difference from daily-use perspective of Global ROM vs Chinese ROM "with pre-installed Google services"?
2. Do all Google services work on Chinese ROM device as if they were on a global version?
3. Can one use Google Assistant without problems?
Much appreciated for help!

It comes with some sort o preinstalled apps but you don't have direct access until you install the store from some thirty partiies. (Disclaimer there is a lot of chines apps unable to uninstall. Regarding the model PCCM00)
Hello developers,
Lots of people have purchased TV without their language support or basic apps that can't be downloaded from the store.
I would appreciate your help
Naor
Yea Mine is china version and would like to flash it to global rom at least
Last summer I bought a tablet from China, but since I am a Russian user, it is not convenient for me to use the tablet because of some parts of the interface in Chinese.
On the official Xiaomi website, I found only the Chinese version, but why would I reinstall what is already on the tablet.
Please help me find the global firmware for the tablet. I will be very grateful to you!
erroneous post
as I understand it, there are no firmware on tablets.
then another question. if I download the global firmware to a regular xiaomi mi pad 5, will it work and how will it affect the tablet?

NO it is not compitabel! You will brick it. If you have unlocked bootloader. And, Magisk root could maybe be required. Then you could take a look around for Treble gsi Roms. I like Crdroid. But best to test with pure aosp made by phh

Are you suggesting installing custom firmware? That's the only thing I understood in your message...

Listen, what if I install a naked android? The one that came out last?
@skyneli
From reading many posts on XDA forum about Mi Pad Pro including 5G model, there is no Global firmware for the Pro model. Only Chinese firmware available. MIUI that comes with Chinese firmware will have English and Chinese languages only.
But as long as the firmware works well, you can flash GSI ROMs which is pure Android system with customizable features including all the languages.
Or you can wait longer for Custom ROMs that some developers may create for the community. If you are new to this, you can google tutorials of how to flash GSI ROMs on treble support devices.
FYI I bought Mi Pad Pro 5G Chinese model but not arrive yet. I have no done anything about this device yet.

Hello, consult. I have a "my pad 5 pro" with keyboard and pencil. in case of installing a "GSI ROM" will I be able to use the keyboard and the pencil?

@dnsco For bluetooth keyboard, yes you can still use it with GSI ROM. But magnetic and pencil, I don't think so. Because these 2 probably need system that supports or activates them.
Mine is Mi Pad 5 Pro 5G but don't have any other accessories like keyboard and pencil. So I have not tested them on GSI ROMs. But stay on MIUI original ROMs or custom ROMs that are made for your model is the best choice. I flashed GSI ROM on my device and got sound problems. So I returned to MIUI 13 A11 stable.
The Xiaomi pen doesn't work on any GSI. It's a massive drawback. I don't have the keyboard so I don't know... but my guess is the same pessimism.
