Hi. My name is Marco from Verona Italy, this is my first topic..
I need an APP that sends me a notification exceeded X Mb when I exceed the threshold. The top would be that the counter resets to zero at each connection, alternatively I'm fine with it resetting once the threshold is exceeded. I will have installed 10 APPs but I couldn't. Samsung told me that it is possible with the settings by enhancing the data usage threshold (because the counter is then reset to zero). In my opinion that everything is designed for the operator plans but not for my purpose.
Can anyone help me, please?
Italian forums can't help me, but XDA is the best, I' hope in a solution.
Thank you in advance.
Marco
Probably such an app doesn't exist.

hello...
i am just in the process of buying an xda on contract from o2.
With the contract i get free txts's, minutes, wap and data.
But i was wondering is there a piece of software that allows you to track how many txts's, minutes, wap and data that you have used?
I ask this beacuse i wish to keep an eye on my allowences, so i dont go madly over them.
Thanks for your help
jay
I guess you get a certain amount free, not totally free? So there is not an ALL-inclusive counter you have to do a little work on your end but can be done.
There are several data counting/GPRS counters online at any of the software vendors like handango & pocketgear. There is also a little app in the windows folder called ByteCounter.exe that does the same thing for free, but I can't figure out how to reset it between months, plus I don't count. So, that should take care of your Data counting needs.
In Inbox, make a folder on your main list in SMS account called SentReceived. Now when ever your billing period resets just move all the items you receive and send into this folder and it will keep a count at the bottom for you.
In the Setting, System, Device info the phone keeps track of your call duration. Simple note where you start at each billing cycle and count from there.
I know it would be nice if there was an all inclusive software that did this, but for now this is as good as it gets
Last suggestion make a text file and keep the totals of each data, minutes, & SMS for easy tracking or accounting. If you want to get fancy you can make an excel spreadsheet on the desktop with auto sum parameters and copy it to your XDA now when ever you need to update you minutes or GPRS or what not you just click the cell and input +whatever and it updates keeping a running log.
Anyway, that’s the best I can come up with if anyone else knows of cleaner way or of some fancy software please post
THANKS!
yeah i think i will have to do it that way....i still need to figure a way to count for wap...beacuse im sure that would be counted as call duration.
any way thanks
jay
I could be wrong but when you use a CSD connection (data over dialup/Wap) it will log as minutes in the phones minute counter, so you should be ok. If your wap is over GPRS then data will count in bytecounter or GPRS counter program of your choice.
Hi, Anybody knows if there is currently available a titanium panel for speedcam alerts?
If not, would anybody be willing to create one?
I have some ideas of how this could work, but I have no idea how to develop it..
here are some thoughts:
Condensed pannel:
- show the current speed and alerts from speedcams (when activated)
Activated pannel
1st page - on/off button and connectivity status
2nd page - current speed, speedcam proximity and alert, buttons to add and remove speedcam (2)
The speedcam information would come from a csv file loaded by the user..
something like this...
What do you guys think?
+1 great idea. Can't do it myself but hopefully someone can/wants.
Lets just hope that someone with developping skills take interest on this one..
Nobody interested in this?
up...
Would this be too complex to achieve?
guess not everybody knows what ur talking about ...
what is a speedcam? A camera to make highspeed videos (500 fps)?

I assumed this would be a known term.. This has nothing to do with the camera function of your mobile. It is related to the traffic cameras that takes pictures of your car when you exceed the speedlimit of a given street thus resulting in a traffic ticket.
Most GPS/routing applications (Garmin, Igo etc.) have the capability of showing alerts when you approach one (if you load the POIs for them). There are also some specific applications that also perform this function (RadarFree), however most are limited to a specific region and already have an automatic update function for the POIs of its speedcams locations which makes the app useless in other countries.
There are quite a few sites around the world that are currently tracking speedcam locations based on user inputs. These locations can often be downloaded on csv format (usually a few others as well) by everyone.
The idea of this pannel is to display the information you need straight from our homescreen without the need to open a different screen to load it, and also to allow the user to input his list of speedcams (this way it can be used in any country).
Let me know if there are still any doubts regarding this.
cheers.

whats the advantage of a titanium panel? This program will talk to you, and its worldwide, and FREE.

For one this application requires internet connection and you should have a reasonable data plan to be able to use it. Also this database isn't very updated in all countries.
The advantage of the pannel I'm suggesting is that it doesnt require an internet connection, the information will be easily displayed in your homescreen without the need to open an additional program which usually tends to lead to more RAM consumption, and you can use it anywhere you can download the information for.
Personally I see a lot of benefit in this when compared to the current solutions in place.
regards..
Another thing in comparison to trapster is that I don't need to see the map, I just want it to display the speed and the speedcam alerts. Such information would fit perfectly on a pannel in Titanium.
Try POI-Observer from navifriends.com
It's free, highly configurable, works standalone as well and will overlap any other window when approaching speedcam.
It's not however a Titanium panel but stays in background when no speedcam nearby.

Thanks for the suggestion SaBo, although it does have some of the functions I'm looking for it is not a simple tool to use. I actually needed to read the manual to understand how it works, plus I feel that you have put to much work to get it running.
I rather use something simpler, and would still like to see it in titanium..
tks
starting to loose hope here... really thought this would be a good idea for lots of you ...
Well... can't have it all can we?
refresh...
Added a poll just to see how many would be interested in such app...
Just got my Le Max 2 . Hope for help from more experienced members. I dont speak or read Chinese.
Is an LeEco account., Le cloud Account useful to me ?.
I like ASOP and CM type android Roms, are any available yet ?
I have traffic monitor on status bar. No Account set up yet an just playstore only app installed and no sims, Just wifi and aeroplane mode. There is a lot of traffic !! Varies 0-800Byte/s, with nothing running, is that normal ? No where near as much traffic on my old phone with over 100 apps.
With no apps running in device manager it still has only 2G of 4 Ram available. Whats using 2 gig of ram ?
Thanks for any assistance
I think you need to wait for some time " hope not to long ".
I have a Jelly Bean 4.1.2 based phone, specifically an LG Intuition VS-950, which I am using with the Page Plus standard plan. As the data rate of $0.10/mb on that plan is ridiculous I have it toggled off and use a Karma Go for mobile data access at a much better data rate. Unfortunately I recently encountered a case where an app or two ran through a lot of my prepaid data. I know one of the culprits and have removed it, but I would like to confirm I have the situation addressed and perhaps seek reimbursement.
If I go into Settings->Mobile Data I see the data usage history. I would like to be able to break this down a bit further, as I only use the Karma Go data part of the time. I would like to be able to isolate the data usage only to the Karma Go for the period of interest. Much of the time my phone is connected either to the office WiFi or a public hotspot, so only the usage while connected to the Karma Go is of interest to me. I have the MAC address of the Karma Go and the two SSIDs used with it, so as long as one of those is part of the data usage history I should be able to isolate it.
Is there an app out there that can do this for me? If not, can I use adb to pull the data of interest over to my laptop for further analysis?
Dave
No need for an app. In fact, the only way to edit and review your device history is through Google Settings. Open it and then select Personal Info & Privacy.
Any links tapped will take you to a browser. Sign in again if asked and edit from there. You can also instruct Google to stop or pause data collection across apps or just specific ones (like YouTube).

I attempted to follow your directions, but I can't say that I see a way to retrieve the usage data from 24 July to 4 August for further analysis from there. The data I am referring to is displayed graphically on the phone from its home screen when I hit Settings->Mobile Data and is titled "data usage cycle" at the top. In particular I need to isolate the portion of this underlying data that is associated with the MAC of my Karma Go WiFi mobile hot spot or one of its two SSIDs and the apps that were responsible for the usage. Ideally I would like to download this data to my laptop in a form that I could open as a spreadsheet for further analysis.
If this data is available online for download, as your post implies, I am afraid I would need more specific direction to be able to access it. Thanks in advance for any further clarification or information you can provide.
Dave
I did a little more searching and from what I can tell the data I am looking for is stored on my phone in /data/system/netstats/ and I downloaded the files in the directory to my laptop. The files are named dev.<startepoch>-<endepoch>, uid.<startepoch>-<endepoch>, uid_tag.<startepoch>-<endepoch> and xt.<startepoch>-<endepoch> respectively with the latest lacking the <endepoch> and are binary files of some sort. How can I work with these files to retrieve the data I am looking for.
Dave
I did yet a bit more searching and it appears that the data is in NetworkStatsCollection format. I found a link to the open source here:
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/frameworks/base/+/e098050/services/java/com/android/server/net/NetworkStatsCollection.java
How can I extract this data so that I can analyze it with other tools?
Dave
It appears that were the data I wanted logged since the last boot I could obtain it via:
adb shell dumpsys netstats detail
Unfortunately, the desired data is from a prior boot. Looking at /data/system/netstats/* shows the data is still present in an earlier file, so I would need to tell dumpsys what date range to extract. Unfortunately I don't have any documention on how to do so. Anyone know how to do so?
Dave
Dear Amazfit-Users and developers,
As you will have noticed all your health and activity data gets uploaded on the Amazfit servers (located on some Amazon AWS-Cloud) when using the obligatory Amazfit App on your smartphone. Furthermore I was able to identify some system data like your installed apps and settings being transferred by analysing the data logs with "Grey Shirts Packet Capture".
Amazfit privacy statement: https://support.amazfit.com/hc/en-us/articles/220266468-Privacy-Policy
Well, not a big deal as we can just use a firewall/iptables to prevent the frequent, battery and data consuming transfers.
BUT: Updates of the firmware and especially the assisted GPS don't work anymore -> "AGPS has expired, gps searching will be slow Please connect the Amazfit watch app to update it"
Did anybody already deal with the problem?
Do you have any idea what server the A-GPS data is derived from (for setting some iptable exclusions)?
Best regards
I know the thread is old, but in case you're (or anyone else is) still interested in it, the AGPS data is retrieved via the following URL (only works if you have a valid token unfortunately):
https://api-watch-us.huami.com/apps/com.huami.watch/fileTypes/AGPSZIP/files?days=7
For manual updates I have switched to PACIFIED.
Dear Gerii,
Thanky for your answer! Do you have an idea how the token is generated?
How about PACIFIED? Does the AGPS-data update work without the Amazfit App?
Greetings

Hello, I got the same agps massage yesterday and I tried to downgrade the Amazfit app to the version of December the 29.
For the first it was no difference but today morning it updates the agps. I'm on stockfied 1.3.5

No, unfortunately not. But I didn't look into it that closely as the GPS quite good also works without it. It is usually fast enough to find a fix during my warm-up exercises, so it isn't that big of a deal for me.
As far as I know it only works with the app, but I don't use the Wifi on the watch.
