I like XBMC with the Navi-X add-on because it has just about every movie out there. But the videos are all jacked up on our tablet because XBMC needs hardware acceleration to render the videos. The nightly build of XBMC has the correct hardware acceleration for our tablet, so
1.Download the nightly build here:
http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/android/arm/
2. Download Navi-X from here:
https://code.google.com/p/navi-x/downloads/list
3. Install XBMC.
4. Unzip Navi-X.
5. Modify "addon.xml" so that it reads xbmc.python version 2.1.0 instead of 1.0
6. Zip it back up.
7. Open XBMC and goto System: Addons: Install from Zip file: (and navigate to your revised zip file, select it and install it)
8. Explore the magical realm of streaming movies.
9. Navigate to the programs: program addons: Navi-X
10. Goto Navi-Xtreme portal, then most viewed in 24 hours, and you should get it from there...
Now we can watch all kinds of videos on our tablet with the nightly build of XBMC with a modified zip of Navi-X. Credit goes to the developers of Navi-X and XBMC.

I'm not too familiar with Navi-X, but from the descriptions I found, it just seems like a large search engine for online movie streams. Are there many HD (720p/1080p) streams, or are most of them average quality?
Help

You need a program like "axel" or another XML editor. Edit it, then save it and zip it up.

And then did you goto system; and from there the addons tab, and from there install from zip, and from there find your fixed zip? When you click on the fixed zip, it will say "addon so and so added" or "there was a problem so and so". Did you see this message?

I thought I might say, XBMC is still a bit buggy. But that's gonna happen on nightly builds.
As for your structure problem, read the posts above;

l too am having this same issue. What am I doing wrong? Also, is this worth the trouble? Will I have to Keep updating this?
The problem is either that you are changing more than just the number in the XML, or that when you are rezipping the navi-x your not including everything that was unpacked. Try unpacking the zip in a folder called UNZIPPED, then after you edit the XML rezip everything in that folder.
Also, it's worth it if you like navi-x. But it still has bugs, as it's even earlier than a beta. So, use it and be happy until the beta comes out, or wait till the beta comes out and use some other program.... (That I don't know of, cause this is the best and only one of its kind)
works great
I found some good streams- I assume a new nightly update needs to be installed daily? what about other add on program info?
nice post!

File Manager 10 [Beta] [Pleas Help]

Today it has finally come and I can you the first video my file manager present.
It is personally important to me, that he completely differs from apps of its kind, resulted in a completely new concept.
The app has two window, which can perform both tasks at the same time different.
The window size is thereby always changeable. In the current version, files can be dragged it back and forth from different places.
The other plan is that one different can load plugins in Windows, which you can directly view files or even edit.
Momory Cards and One Drive are at present fully integrated.
Copy, move, delete goes in all possible directions.
And that in multiple threads in the background.
If one moves so larger files you can continue working without waiting times.
To the rename of files I made me even more.
You can rename a file and you can rename right at once the whole selection.
So far so good.
Well since you asked!
What is you important on a file manager.
What files are important to you, should be included.
I will publish the first beta soon and have further before further processes of the app to provide.
Who has interest, send me his Live ID in a PN.
Thank you very much!
the first video for the app, you'll see the system and how to copy files in up to 4 threads in the background.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0S7aMno8B-s
Unfortunately, I am very busy at the moment.
But I think that I can publish up to the weekend of the first beta.
At the moment I'm still working on a plugin for DropBox.
The first beta is online
Link to the store!

To prepare the app for the plugins, I have the whole ActionBar (right bar) rebuild.
I created also an image viewer plugin, which can be loaded into the Windows and supports local files, such one drive files.
By that they load into the window, you can use two at once.
Here are the other features of the store description
*** Beta 1 ***
- Two Windows with adjustable size
- Support for storage media
- Full integration of one drive
- Tasks run in the background
- Plugins can be loaded in Windows
- Rename multiple files at once
- Direct instructions by voice Output
- Supports all display formats

Today I uploaded the next beta!
*** Beta 2 ***
What's new:
- I had to delete the documents folder.
As you have certainly noticed the app crashed at the open of the documents folder.
This has to do with that access rights.
The folder may be used only from apps with corporate hub.
- The folder private is now fully functional
Here you can create your own folder system in the IsoStore of the app.
The question for you, whether I should provide the password protection is important here.
Advantage: You could protect the files.
Disadvantage: One forgets his password, so the files are lost forever!
- You can now switch between speech or info display.
This appears at the simply click below for 1.5 seconds.
- In the speech output, you can now select the gender.
- For Rename multiple files and folders you can now select to use leading zeros in the number behind the files.
- The system to use to plugins started to develop.
Here you can choose then later in the settings, plug-ins, which plugin you want to open the respective types of files.
-A first alpha version of the zip plugin is included.
Alpha because it can unpack anything.
You can read the file.
With the plugin you can use later also your .zip files as other folders.
- The image viewer plugin has been improved
What has not finished yet, is an improvement of double clicks!
Have fun with it

sir i have posted your app in my blog please dont mind
http://lumians.blogspot.in/2015/03/file-manager-10-for-windows-phone.html
Downloaded just now, Will post impressions later
It's lagging a lot, also action buttons aren't responsive, I need to press a couple of times for a button to execute the action it does, also viewing files needs to be done in the second pane, as this way one can view fast the contents of a specific folder and mark needed files for specific action.
Just got my first WP and will test.

Can you make this an ISO? I cant seem to get root to work.
great job !!! im gonna test it !
I have installed the latest Remix OS for PC, 3.0.207.
When I tried to run these commands:
pm disable com.jide.filelauncher
pm disable com.android.launcher3
pm disable com.google.android.launcher.layouts.device
Only the com.android.launcher3 worked, the other couldn't be found. Did it change? Also, even though I have it set to Autohide the Taskbar, it's always up for one critical app that I want to use Full Screen.
Any thoughts?
I have 1 question. Is there possibility tof somehow use cable TV (with android tuner)?

I want to use Android hooked up to my TV, but I have an x86 I want to use. Remix looks promising, but the launcher is an issue. With the software provided by the company I linked too, the taskbar remains on the screen even though I have it set to autohide.

We have something similar here in Czech (but it is not much common). I forgot, that you will be still using android so stupid question
Does this work on Remix OS for PC 3.0.207?
I would like to use the Leanback Launcher on Remix OS. However I would not want to mess up my current setup and have to start over.
**Edit**
Leanback Launcher did not work for me. Also this is the only command that works on the latest Remix OS
pm disable com.android.launcher3
But it does kill the Desktop, I installed Top TV Launcher 2 before doing this and after I hit the home button on my remote it guided me through setting up my new launcher. It works awesome.
The only thing I would like to know is how to completely kill/disable the taskbar. The Auto hide is ok but sometimes it reappears with some apps.

YOUTUBE DOWNLOAD

THE LOGIN PROCESS IS A BIT MESSY SINCE I'VE NEVER DONE SOMETHING LIKE THAT BEFORE AND I HAVE NO INTEREST LEARNING GOOGLE'S API & JAVA
The UI may not be perfect, I've done my best, maybe I'll update it when I'll have time.
Steps
1. Sideload 'ytlogin-mobile.apk' & 'gms-mobile.apk' on your phone(if you already have non-root microg, you'll have to uninstall it atleast temporary, you can keep using it but you won't be able to update it)
2. Sideload 'ytlogin-wear.apk' & 'gms-wear.apk' & 'ytmusic.apk' on your watch.
3. Give WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission to YT Login on your watch using
adb shell pm grant com.down.musicresponse android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
4. Open Vanced microG Settings on your phone -> Add Google Account and login (after login it'll tell you that it couldn't establish connection to google server, hit ok)
5. Open YT Login on both your phone and watch and hit 'SEND RESPONSE' on your phone(the wear app should close at this point)
5.1 At this point you can uninstall microg(phone) if you want to
6. Open YT Music -> Sign In -> Add account and wait until the login is done(5-30 seconds)
7. That's it, select the account and enjoy YouTube Music on your unsupported Wear device (now you can uninstall YT Login on both your phone and watch if you want to)
TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD MUSIC
Go to Library -> Downloads -> Settings -> Disable 'Download over Wi-Fi only'
BATTERY OPTIMISATION
Open Vanced microG Settings -> Cloud Messaging and disable it
If for some reason the 'official' method doesn't work, you can do it manually
After you login on your google account on the phone(step 4), the login response will be saved in your clipboard, save it in a text file and pull it on your PC
Open CMD and 'adb shell' into your watch and copy & paste the following commands
settings put global email <YOUR_EMAIL_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global accountType <YOUR_ACCOUNT_TYPE_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global token <YOUR_TOKEN_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global sid <YOUR_SID_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global lsid <YOUR_LSID_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global services<YOUR_SERVICES_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global firstname <YOUR_FIRST_NAME_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global lastname <YOUR_LAST_NAME_FROM_RESPONSE>
Now simply close CMD, open YT Music and sign in

Edit - Got my watch delievered. Couldn't install ytmusic.apk through wear installer as it said the app is not made for wearOS. Used bugjaeger to install. Would work from a pc too but was feeling lazy
Followed the guide exactly. Great work dev. 10/10 recommended. Works decently IMO on squares.
I'm unable to install gms-mobile.apk on my Pixel 5 (Android 12 Beta) I get "App not installed as package conflicts with an existing package"
Any ideas?

Hi,
On Poco F3 and Fossil Gen5 Carlyle, got until the send response part and then my watch just showed a wall of text with my email at the top with most of the text being off the screen. What should I do?

Alternatively you can manually set the account without YT Login app.
After you login on your google account on the phone(step 4), the login response will be saved in your clipboard, save it in a text file and pull it on your PC
Open CMD and 'adb shell' into your watch and copy & paste the following commands
settings put global email <YOUR_EMAIL_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global accountType <YOUR_ACCOUNT_TYPE_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global token <YOUR_TOKEN_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global sid <YOUR_SID_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global lsid <YOUR_LSID_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global services<YOUR_SERVICES_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global firstname <YOUR_FIRST_NAME_FROM_RESPONSE>
settings put global lastname <YOUR_LAST_NAME_FROM_RESPONSE>
Now simply close CMD, open YT Music and sign in

Question Help sideload apps Polestar 2

Guys i really need to sideload Waze and other apps if possible from Android Auto to Android Automotive. At least if not side load maybe phone mirroring. We have a browser that would work for many things called Vivaldi but i won't work while driving is there a way around this?
Hey man so far I have not been able to activate developer settings which would allow us to sideload. If someone can figure that out, would be awesome. I have the same car.
Same here...not being able to sideload app is so totally not andriod. -_-
Hi, I only managed to compile open source projects for Android Auto and install them in my Polestar 2 car, via the Google Play Store Beta Testing.
But the most desired apps like Waze or Netflix are not open source, so no chance to port them for the Polestar 2 car.
Here a short list of Apps, I successfully ported for my polestar 2 car:
- Firefox
- Local Public TV Channel Streaming App (any country/ language)
- VOIP App (Linphone)
- Amaze File Manager
- Wireguard VPN
- K9 Mail client
- ZAPP (German TV Media library app)
- Google Home Assistant
- Game 1: 2048: By moving blocks, same numbers will be added up https://github.com/andstatus/game2048
- Game 2: Nice solitaire collection https://github.com/TobiasBielefeld/Simple-Solitaire
- Game 3: Tetris (simple but FUN)
https://github.com/vitaviva/compose-tetris
- Game 4: Mini Golf
https://github.com/mgerdes/Open-Golf
- Game 5: Pinball
https://github.com/dozingcat/Vector-Pinball
If you find a nice app for android on f-droid.org or github.com, I can take a look if this can run on the polestar as well

That sounds great. Can you explain how you've got the apps on the polestar? I would really love to have the plexamp app, but I absolutely have no experience in compiling anything.
Dary I sent you a dm but can you please give us more of an explanation how you where able to sideload apps using the playstore beta testing? I'm trying to figure this out and can't seem to.
It's not very difficult:
Get Android Studio
Install the Polestar SDK (see "Try it out" Button here: https://www.polestar.com/us/developer/get-started/emulator/
Get any android source-code from github (download as zip)
Open in Android Studio and change the applicationId in the buid.gradle file to something which is not used (e.g. com.myname.projectname)
Build a signed bundle (aab file)
Upload to your google play developer console and create a new app with new release (drag and drop aab file)
Enable internal testing and invite testers by google play account e-mail address

Hi Dary,
can you give us more information on how you can install apps after configured for internal test on Google Play Console? I'm trying to install HomeAssistant companion app.
Thanks in advance

If you've installed Firefox is there any chance you can download from apk mirror other apks to install directly or is download blocked at the device level?

Nope, Developer Mode is blocked in AAOS (when you tap several times on the build no., a pop-up appears), with this also no USB-Debugging. Installing not-trusted apks is also disabled/ the menu to allow this for certain apps is disabled. About the Firefox, I build it from the open-source.
Happy Sunday,

Hi, just add your google play account e-mail address as internal tester, then copy the invitation link and open it in a new tab. Approve the internal testing and click afterwards on the google play link. Then select polestar as device when installing it.
I completely forgot that you can install apps also from the play store website instead using the one on the device!! GREEAATT! It works like a charm! Now I can control my home from my volvo to switch lights or open my gate. Thank you Dary!
Hi Dory,
Would it be possible for you to add my google email, username hallevison, to the list of internal testers?

It might be interesting to see if KDE connect will work. It is open source and it would be useful to see the phone notifications on the car.
