I have turned on face recognition on my A7 Lite and it works for unlocking the tablet but apps that require a password still prompt for the password. Is there a way to configure them to use face recognition instaed, just as they do if the device has a fingerprint reader?

My employer is about to rollout Office365 and abandon GoodTechnology.
I have registered my Samsung Tab 10s through Intune and am now able to use corporate OneNote and OneDrive. The downside, as I understand it, is that the Samsung Fingerprint Scanner sits on top of the Android O/S and the security requirements invoked by my employer means that the scanner is not recognised/accepted/compatible. As a result I now have to use a 6+ alphanumeric password to use my tablet. I have also had to encrypyt the internal memory. Overall I can live with this for the benefits I get by being able to use my tablet in my role.
My concern is that I am now faced with the dilema of having to do the same with my Samsung S5. Normally to access my Goodtechnology emails I swipe my thumb and then enter a password to the Good app. I'll swipe my thumb 50 times a day but will only access email, say, 10 times per day. The idea of having to enter a 6+ digit password to make a call, sent an SWS, use personal email and look at Facebook/Tapatalk is not at all appealing.
I understand that iOS has an integrated fingerprint scanner and that there is no need to use a password.
Is the issue a Samsung issue or do all android smart phones with fingerprint scanners have this issue?
I wont move to Apple but I may move to Sony or HTC or..... if the scanner works.
Meantime I am now about tell my employer I will be without mobile email for the first time in almost 15 years.......... that will not go down well.
I had created a private space in Honor 8 pro, and had set a private space PIN and a finger print. And i was using only my finger print for a while to open private space.
Now i forgot private space PIN and as my device restarted its forcing me to enter PIN and not accepting my fingerprint.
is there any way to use rooting (root access) and disable this feature of "Require PIN on restart" feature? so that i can use my fingerprint to login.

Hi Guys,
Imagine I want to create an app that will use biometrics from the mobile phone.
I want to use the sensor in the way it registers multiple records in my app. From functional perspective it's like the registry - you log in to app, you have "your team" and you need to register their fingerprints.
Is BiometricPrompt API capable of doing it? Or it only serves to authenticate one user that the device belongs to?
If the answer is not in my favour, do you have any other ideas?
Hey guys I am wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to choose a preferred method of authentication for logging into some apps? Like my bank app only shows the fingerprint method to login is there anyway to choose face unlock over fingerprint login?
Hi there,
on my iPad, I can set it up so that all apps (including free ones) are installed only after a fingerprint. Can I set this up on Android as well? I only found the option that purchases require fingerprint authorization. But I want any installation possible only after fingerprint authorization.
How can I adjust that?
Thanks!
