Hi, everyone recently I flashed Lineage 19.0 on my Samsung Galaxy J600G with TWRP 3.2.3 and after booting into the OS I tried rebooting into TWRP but the phone just froze on the splash screen. I am not sure if anyone else has ever faced this, but in case anyone did, I found a solution =), here you go :
Requirements-
1. A computer with Odin installed.
2. TWRP tar file loaded on the computer.
Solution =
1. When the phone is stuck on TWRP press volume down and power button at the same time, this will force reboot the phone.
2. After the screen goes black, quickly press both the volume buttons and insert a usb that's connected to your computer, this will boot us into download mode which is how we can flash a fresh TWRP image through Odin
3. Now open Odin and go to "Options" and untick Auto Reboot.
4. Click on "AP" and choose the TWRP tar file. Now click on start and after it shows "PASS" force reboot the phone again with the method above and as soon as the screen goes black press volume up + power buttons. Voila you've booted in TWRP .
Note : This method was tested on J600G/ J600F/J600T, and I am or will not be responsible for any damage or harm to any entity's device.
But bricking this phone is kinda impossible, which is cool.

Hi guys,
I just used Download Mode + Odin to push T110.CWM.v6.0.4.8.tar.md5 to my T110 Tablet.
After that I could boot into CWM-based Recovery v6.0.4.8 without issues.
Then I installed the zip file android-armeabi-universal-root-signed.zip
After that I rebooted. And since then I was not able to boot into Android or even Download Mode.
Only Recovery Mode works.
Then I tried to run adb devices from Windows and it reports my device ID number + recovery.
Now I was hoping somebody could help me with some adb commands to get this thing working again.
My initial goal was to root and upgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2.
I would prefer using this lite rom T110UEUANE4.LiteV2.Rooted.Deodexed.June2014.zip instead of the official rom T110XXUANG2_T110OXAANG2_XEO.zip.
But at this point I would not care to much, I just hope it can be fixed again
Many thanks for your help!

Please help. My s3 can only boot into twrp logo and stays there while flickering every few seconds. I have tried the volume up, power button and home button thing and still it does nothing but reboot to the same place. In short, I cannot enter recovery mode to re-flash my phone.
What about download mode? Volume down Power and Home button?

What about entering download mode ? As it was stated above ? Then you can download last stock firmware for your region and flash it via Odin. Good source of original firmware is //samsung-updates.com/. Odin is available at many sites. If you run Win7 (or higher) on your PC you do not need any additional software, if not - proper drivers to see your mobile will be required. Then, if you do not want to stay with stock ROM, you can flash custom recovery and finally custom ROM chosen from dozens of them...
Hi,
I know this has been covered thoroughly, but I have a particular problem that I haven't been able to find a solution for.
I have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime, MIUI 6. I'm trying to boot into recovery mode either one of two ways: holding down volume up + power, or going through the 'Update' app options. Both times, the same thing happens: The phone starts up with the Mi logo, hangs for about 20 ish seconds, reboots as normal. It doesn't at any stage enter recovery mode. Holding down volume down + power takes me to Fastboot, but it hangs on the fastboot screen infinitely..
Any thoughts?
Chris
are you want to flash something ? try flash with updater app, rename zip file you want to flash to update.zip, and do flash with updater. its will enter recovery mode and flah zip file

I have tried that, same thing happens.
To clarify, whenever I try to enter recovery mode, the phone starts up, vibrates, Mi logo appears, hangs for about 10-15 seconds, turns off, turns on, vibrates, Mi logo appears, "Powered by Android" appears, phone starts up normal.

Hmm I will try to install that app. Right now the phone wont get past the boot screen, it is just hanging on the Mi logo and Powered by Android.
Thanks
Try to flash the stock recovery.
Then you should be able to boot into stock recovery and wipe all data.
After that the phone should boot.
At least that worked for me

If you have rooted phone, try to flash recovery (TWRP) over terminal, with dd.
You have trashed the recovery partition. Reboot in fastboot mode (Vol- + PWR) and reflash TWRP.img via fastboot on a PC.
Command:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Rename the twrp.img to recovery.img or change the name used in the command. There are plenty of tutorials out there on how to use fastboot.
Do not let the phone boot up after flashing!!!! You will end up back with the same problem. Hold down Vol+ to boot into Recovery mode for the first time.
Hey everyone (Again),
So i managed to unlock the bootloader and everything went smoothly but I flashed my recovery i can't get into it now it comes up with an error message everytime i try to get into recovery it says ' Your software cannot be checked for corruption' any way to get rid of this or do i have to re- lock the bootloader just to fix it and get recovery working.
Thanks again.

That's not an error message, that's the message you'll see every bit if you unlock the bootloader. Do NOT relock your bootloader after installing custom recovery. Also to get into recovery (provided you installed it correctly and it wasn't erased after it booted info Android) is to turn your phone off (or pull battery) and then hold volume down & power button, one you see the LG logo let go of the power button only (still hold volume down) for about 1 second and then press the power button again and hope (never let go of volume down). It will ask you if you want to reset your phone, select yes two times and you will enter TWRP. If it actually resets your phone, TWRP isn't installed. Usually after installing TWRP you need to pull battery then use above method to boot into recovery, mount system partition and use TWRP file manner to delete come named "recovery from boot.p". You can also go ahead and install SuperSU or magisk (use magisk if you need to be able to pass safety net). Hopefully this helps you, also next time please include what model phone you have and what steps exactly you did as it's easier for others to attempt to help you.
Mines a H850 running nougat as well but thats the only thing it wont boot to recovery because when i hold down the volume down button and the power button the lg logo shows up but then after 4 seconds that google message will pop up and that gets in the way of doing the method to get onto recovery thats my problem

You have to follow exactly what I posted earlier. If you do that, it will show the factory reset screen which is you have TWRP installed, it will not into TWRP.
1) Power off phone
2) Press and hold volume down (do not let go until you see factory reset screen)
3) Press and hold power button, when you see LG logo, let go of power button for 1 second and then press and hold again.
If you do not follow step 3, you'll never be able to boot to recovery using button combo, it will just go to that message and then boot into Android.

Thanks for that! I got it working cheers
I'm actually having a similar issue too.
To clarify, I'm using a LG G5 (h830 variant) that is running resurrection remix.
I remember getting into recovery just to flash the updated modem and bootloader zips so I can fix the issue with powering off the device.
Now I noticed after doing that, I cannot get into recovery either with rebooting or with the button combo.
Thankfully I am rooted with magisk and this is probably the first time that I encountered this issue.
I don't want to further risk anything (because my phone is set up and don't want to lose any data) but would flashing twrp through the official app work just fine?

I know this is old,Just wanted to say thank it worked for me...
Been a while since I used LG and never with official bootloader unlock so I was thrown off by resetting to recovery as at first i never had the lg screen just the bootloader warning start
For those T-Mo G5 (H830) with unlocked bootloader, you will not see any LG logo. Once you see the lcd backlight comes on, immediately release the power button and press it again, all the while holding down the vol down button.
When you see the bootloader unlocked phone is unsafe msg by LG on the screen, it will already be too late and past the stage where you can boot to recovery. Simply power down and redo in that case.
(Needed to do the above as the latest Magisk 20.0 broke root and adb on H830, thus there was no way to get into recovery other than using the physical buttons. The Magisk Canary version of 20.1 works though.)
I flashed an unofficial Evolution X v6.5 Rom For my Poco F1 today,
it was working fine but then I tried to Reboot into MY Custom Recovery( OrangeFox ) using the Advance Restart Option Exist in Rom.
OrangeFox Recovery Opening Image was Showing but it didn't opened, My phone shut down and rebooted again into the Same OrangeFox Opening Image and then shut down again.
It stuck into Recovery Opening Bootloop.
I tried holding the power button to reboot into system but noting is happening, It is showing same Recovery Opening Image and then shutting down,
I tried holding the power button + Volume UP Button, Same thing was happening Recovery Opening Image and then shutting down.
Luckily when I tried holding the power button + Volume down Button, It opened the bootloader.
So I thought Something happened to the OrangeFox recovery file So I installed the TWRP Recovery with My PC.
BUT Now It showing TWRP Opening Image and then shutting down. Same Recovery Bootloop.
Something( Maybe the Rom ) preventing me from rebooting into any recovery.
I should mention that I didn't installed any new app or anything, I just flashed the rom and then finished the Google setup.
I managed to shut down the phone by holding all 3 button for about 20sec.
But it's not charging anymore, if I plug the to phone to charger it start the whole Recovery Bootloop again.
Please Let me know if you know of any possible solutions.
I managed to fix that issue, In Future if anyone else got same problem in any phone, Then Follow this,
At First Hold all three button for about 25sec to shut down your phone,
at this situation your phone won't charge, if your battery completely drained then your phone might get hard brick, so shut down it at first.
Then download a stable & trustable rom and put that in SD Card or Pendrive( in this case you will be needed an OTG to plug the perdrive into your phone )
Then download the latest TWRP or any other Recovery in your PC. You really need the latest custom Recovery( 0 - 3 Months Old ).
I should let you know, You need to install ADB & Fastboot Drivers on your PC to perform any normal rooting process on your phone, And Download "Android Platform Tools".
Open CMD in "Android Platform Tools" Folder
Connect your phone to your PC in bootloader mode by holding down Power + Volume Down Button.
Then Type in CMD - fastboot devices
To check your device is properly connected or not. If your phone is connected properly then CMD will show a random number and fastboot. If not then connect the phone properly and check the driver.
Then Type - fastboot erase userdata
It will erase all your internal and data.
Then Type - fastboot flash recovery "PUT HERE THE LATEST CUSTOM RECOVERY FULL PATH"
It will flash the custom recovery, IN above command after writing recovery give a space then write the full path or hold and drag the latest custom recovery to command prompt, it will automatically write the full path for you.
After flashing the recovery now you can open the recovery.
Now Open the custom recovery immediately by holding down Power + Volume UP Button.
Then Wipe the Old Rom and flash the new downloaded rom from SD Card or Pendrive.
AND there you go, Now you can reboot into your new system or recovery.
