Why does LG Flash Tool give me a 'could not connect to server error' when I go to use it? - LG K7 Questions & Answers

Does anyone know what causes this? I am trying to stock flash LG k7 ms330, followed tutorial, everything is as it should be, but this error still happens. I have some questions: Is it possibly caused by A) the USB cable I'm using or B) the USB port I'm using? Would either of these things matter in this situation?

[Q] Help Please! I am NOT a noob- tried many ways but stuck trying with a work around

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!
Phone:
Tmobile T959 aka Samsung Vibrant
It is on stock Froyo 2.2
It has the 3E recovery.
I tried on 2 computers but I can NOT connect via USB it gives me USB malfunction error. The phone does charge. I can put it into download mode vie the 3 finger trick. When you connect it does give you the option to click the green Android icon Connect to USB. So it is talking to the computer, the usb is not totally dead.
Problem:
I need to root this phone. I can not use 1 click or anything else because I think there is a problem with the USB port. I can get files onto the phone via wifi or using the external sd card.
I tried using the update.zip file BUT because I am on the 3E recovery it will say signature failed. I can not run the install.bat to get it back to 2E recovery. I can not use ODIN because the Windows will not detect the phone properly.
What workaround can I use to root this phone? How would I use terminal on the phone?
HOW WOULD YOU ROOT THE PHONE IF YOUR USB PORT WAS "broken"?
THANKS for helping!
As far as I'm aware, you can't root your phone without the USB port working as most (if not all) root methods send their commands and files through ADB. Your pretty much stuck, unless your phone is under warranty. In that case, just go to your carrier and see if they'll give you a replacement device.

It's out of warranty
I think there may be a way to do it via terminal emulator on the phone.
If this is possible, can someone please post how to do it.
anyone with a work around?
damn!
Am I stuck or does anyone have a way for me to root this phone without the using the USB connection (USB does charge, It will know when you connect to the pc for USB storage BUT windows will say not recognized. I tried it on 4 other pc's same results. I think something is wrong with the OS of the phone. I think the previous owner tried to update with Kies and it messed up the phone. The phone does boot and works.

I did all of that.
I think something is wrong with the phone's OS that is effecting the usb port.
How do I root this phone WITHOUT the USB port?
There has to be a way!
Can you determinate VID&PID of phone?
I can get into the device with airdroid and see the system files.
Which files do I need (or which apps) and where do I copy them manually to get it rooted?

Is there not a device forum where you might could get some better information? My thinking is, a lot of the people (or most of the people) who may know some workarounds can probably help, but they don't check this section very often or at all.
Even if there's not a section for that model, I'm thinking there's probably one quite similar. Also a lot of times, a big portion of the userbase of one phone, will migrate to the same model when they upgrade.
Just throwing out some ideas in case that's helpful. My only advice on the problem itself is that I would look further into the driver issue. I've helped several people with very similar issues that we finally were able to correct.
Have you tried to ADB the device just to pull the serial? With USB debugging enabled. Have you installed the SDK and tried the naked drivers? There's some things to pursue possibly so you can have more information for the person who helps you get things straightened out.

[Q] Could use some help involving missing drivers.

So here's a idiotic move I made while trying to unroot my T Mobile P76920h L9 phone. I tried one thread on here but it wasn't working so great. There was an error I was having so I took that error to Google and found some people who had the same issue. Their solution was something that I believe is what caused my now problem. Their solution was in C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX to delete all that and replace with some exact same files.
Pretty much after that, everytime I plug my cell phone into the my laptop (Win8, Toshiba) my phone isn't recognized in the Device Manager usb ports. I tried downloading drivers and nothing is working. I can't proceed with my original unrooting goal and now I'm at a wall. Please anybody know if there's a solution? I'm thinking just deleting all LG from my laptop and downloading drivers again would be a solution, just have no clue if it is actually.
Thanks

Real problem with USB port

Hi everyone I wanted to flash a rom on my new S3 but I couldn't beacuse of the USB. If I plug the USB the phone charges but it doesn't recognize it as a phone, in fact it says "Unknown Device" and doesn't let me install any driver. I've tried everything possible: uninstall and install new drivers, install different types of drivers, I've also tried the secret cose *#xxxx*xxxx# (I can't remember the numbers).
If anyone has a possible solution for this, let me know, thank you
EDIT:I've also tried different pc and usb port, but nothing happpened
Try another lead and put the phone in download mode first.
Else you have a fault with the usb socket or motherboard.

I've tried that, but the result is still the same :/
EDIT: please guys, if someone can tell me a method to, at least, root my phone whitout connecting it to my pc, would be great! I've tried framaroot, towelroot and also motochop method, but none of these worked
There is no way to root without using Odin and the usb port.

LG769 T-mobile need help changing rom/removing bloat

Hi. I was given an LG-P769 to use as a Wi-Fi only "phone". It has Android 4.1.2 with a software version of P76920h.
I want to remove the T-Mobile apps because it won't be used on their network or any other network. I also want to install a newer version of android.
I am unable to connect it to a PC because the phone keeps saying connected and disconnected no matter what cable I use and the cables do work with other Android Devices.
I mainly run Ubuntu but I do have access to a Windows box but I don't see that helping because of the problem with connecting over a cable.
Did you followed all the tutorials carefully? Correct drivers? Manual replacement of them? If yes - this have to be a hardware issue, your microusb is gonna die soon
I found three guides that I followed. I messed something up because I was getting a security error or security violation message. I was able to use a different laptop and re-flash the T-mobile image onto it so the USB port still works. it could have been my cable Do you suggest a specific tutorial?

G2 Mini D618 Softbrick

Can someone help? Been searching the internet for over 24 hours for a solution and I can't seem to find one.
I was attempting to flash Android lollipop kdz on my G2 mini, but I accidentally closed it because the language was in Korean and now my phone doesn't work.
It only boots into download mode, and when I connect it to my computer it recognizes as a MTP USB device and attempts to install drivers but fails immediately.
Theoretically if I can get it to recognize on the computer as a com port I can flash stock on it and it should be fine, but I have no clue how and I'm afraid to fiddle with the flashing tool to make matters worse.
Can anyone tell me what can I do please? Any more info you need ill be happy to provide.
