so why is there the ability to sync pocket access files if there is no pocket access?? how do i view my pocket access files?
There is a Pocket Access database engine on the Pocket PC but you [or developer] has to write their own GUI to it.

unless some program is already writen then you could make it in mfc using ado.net without too much problems unless of cause you needed more then just modifying tables and adding records

Yes but don't forget the old Pocket PC 2002. These little babies aren't going to die just cause 2003 came out. One can still use eVB. It's not the best but quite adaquate and free.

Hi, I have been using my shift for a week or so now and I have found the 1GB memory to be an issue with lagging screen switches in W7.
One solution I found was to install this free utility called "Minimem" (found here: http://minimem.kerkia.net/Download.aspx)
So far it is working great and my windows (in W7 RC) switch faster, and I can have a few program running.
It's easy to figure out, just install it, started up all your programs, open 'Minimem', then choose all the programs you want managed, choose how often you want to run Minimem in seconds, and what Memory threshold should be exceeded before it takes any action on those programs.
Mid-day update:
I forgot about this, but to stop unnecessary things from opening in Win7, there is another great free utility here: (http://www.anvir.com/task-manager-windows-startup.htm) called "AnVir Task Manager Free"
It lets you choose what to start on start up, plus lets you do a delayed startup of select programs (like Messenger, or other non essential programs on startup)
And I've confirmed that the beta version of Stardock Fences (http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/) works well (very handy for this screen)
I hope this helps those wanting to speed up W7 even more!
If anyone else knows of other great free utilities I would love to know!

As for the RAM optimization, I'm using MemTurbo (not a Freeware) and it's working great. I'll try later your suggested app.

I simply set up the folders I want to sync and this beauty does it all perfectly in the background. ...If you are on a pay as you go data plan, I would suggest setting specific folders in SYNC to "Manual vs. Automatic" to save money or creating a side folder to move things between) ...what really makes this great, is that you can sync files between anyone else with a Windows Live account. (I'm a mobile professional, and this is great for my team to send me docs. They simply save it to a folder, and seconds later I get it!

Anywhere access-Get to your online files from home, work, or on the road.
Easy to use-Password-protected-Keep your files to yourself, or share them with anyone you want.

Well don´t know if its a "new" utility for you guys, but for me it is and works quite fine...
It´s Virtual Clone Drive, a freeware that can be downloaded from http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html
It helped me install WIn 7 on my Shift and for now, has eliminated my need for an external CD/DVD drive

I can't get it work, can you help me?
Edit: now it works, it was firewalled.
Is it normal that when i turn "on" modem, MyMobile disconnects?
One of the reasons why I go Android over other OSs is due to Seven's support for an enterprise email app that works with a desktop redirector that works with Outlook. It works really well, and what it does is enable me not to need a BlackBerry for work. I can access personal and work email/calendars/etc., on one device w/o having to deal with corporate IT.
Unfortunately, the GS II comes with Media Hub, which as it turns out, was built by Seven. And it appears to have the same package ID as the email app that I use to access my work email & calendar! As a result, when I try to install the Seven app, it asks me if I want to upgrade the Media Hub. That's just not going to work. So, now I'm w/o one of the most important features of my smartphone.
Unfortunately, I cannot unload Media Hub. Any other ideas? Any other alternatives to Seven for corp. email w/desktop redirector?
Any info appreciated.

PS - I think that if I really wanted to, I could root the phone and uninstall the media hub. I'd just rather not have to do that if I don't have to.
I'm a complete noob at any apk stuff but could you pull the download of seven and recompile it yourself so it doesn't have the same id?

I'm not saying you should do this but if you want, if you root your phone you could remove media hub
In fact it is one of the many apps I deleted in order to debloat my phone.

Hello!
So a while back I used this app, which I forgot tthe name of, to stream my phones screen to my computer. The app set up a local website that I could access on my pc (if we were on the same network of course) and then view a live "feed" from my phone at like 5-15 fps.
I don't wanna use. jar java applications on my pc, which is the case with most apps I was able to find, so can someone help.me find this app again?

Is there any apps out there for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 that work like Motocast or Zumocast? I've got the remote desktop app Splashtop setup, but was wondering if there is a simpler app that allowed you to access files on my work computer via the web?

So, you just want to access files from your work computer on your tab? If that's all, most file managers are able to access shared files over LAN/WAN (I use it all the time for music/pictures/stuff computer).
Teamviewer is just another remote desktop app. Ubuntu one is just a cloud service. And I need to access my files anywhere, not just when i'm on a LAN/wan. The problem with a cloud service is th I have thousands pdf's, spreadsheets, and photos on my workstation and uploading them all a cloud and them having to keep updating that cloud daily is not feasible.
Motocast works flawless in that anywhere you have web access you can access a PC that is on and running the client in the background. Just wondering if there is an app like that that works for the Samsung galaxy tab 10.1...
You could set a FTP server (I recommend SFTP for security) on your workstation and use an app like AndFTP.
try Pocket Cloud
Dropbox is simplest solution. Put your files in Dropbox and they are everywhere.

Just thought I'd mention, WAN is wide area network (aka internet), not WLAN (wireless LAN).
So using shares (or FTP/SFTP) you can easily access all your files, you can even mount them so that tab sees them as "local" (useful for quite some apps that don't support network shares).

You 'just' create a folder and 'just' drop your files there. How hard is that? Dropbox is not something physical that you have to do anything to it daily. Their is no hard labor involved. You definitely need paid service for thousands and thousands of your files. Just like that.

Another option that helped me was pocketcloud explore. Because you have the pocketCloud remote desktop but this is a separate app that will let you just access, view, and download all your files. It's 1 of the closest things motocast I could find.
