Disabling Connection Notification? - MDA, XDA, 1010 General

Anybody knows how to disable the Notification bubble / Sound that plays everytime the Pocket PC connects or disconnects from the internet. I find it very annoying.
I looked into the Notification registry keys but no luck there.
Thanks.

I have the same problem. I really apprecitate any help. It bubble is coming up where ever I drive around, when the Base station for GPRS changes this disconnection message comes up even though there may have been a disconnection for less than a second.
I looked in the registry, but couldn't find anything. Can I even disable it?
many thanks
Jaz

Settings/personal/sounds and notifications. Uncheck all boxes, this will prevent sound but the bubble isnt affected, maybe somebody knows a registry hack for this.

Need the next tab along,
Settings/Sounds & Notifications/Notifications/
On the drop down box "Connection Disconnected" and "Established" Uncheck the "Display message on screen" box for both, click OK . . . Job Done!
Worked for me and much better now!

Parrot CK3100 not working

I use MS Voice Command to dial a number but after one use it locks up and says "deviec not recognized" until I do a phone reset.
has anyone else experinced this and have a fix. Thanks
I had excactly same problem with the parrot 3300 eventually found solution by using the application JetBTHFExt-PPC-1.11 from jetware www.jetware.com i think load it restart problem solved hope it works for you.
Did you have to make any registry changes?
I now get no hangup but nothing happens when I press the aprrot button to access Voice Command.
thanks
Check your button's settings to make sure it's still assigned to that button or any other. If not, you should be able to change it.
There is a tick box in the jetware software under advanced options to enable VC as the default once you have ticked the box you need to restart again to make the change other wise it just uses speed dial good luck Ed
Thanks all, now working perfectly

External Display Notifications "Howto"?

Hello
I have a StrTrk with the 4.1.502.5 (AKU 3.4.2) Rom installed.
But i am not happy with the “missed calls” settings. Ore more simple ... i dont have any.
I would like to see a missed call oder text message on the external display.
preferred function description: If i miss a call, the external display and the backlight should be constantly on and display the message of a missed call.
If someone knows a way to set up the StrTrk like that (even if i have to flash an other Rom)
ore something almost like that, please dont hesitate to tell me
Try this small app called DontForget
http://magazin.softimage.cz/dontforget/app-description/
You can set an interval and after that it plays a sound and also speeds up the flashing of your LED. I'm using it, because I am used to missed call notification from Samsung phones. But for some reason, WM doesn't have any similar built in function

I treid this but it doenst run well on my att 3125. I set it up and run it, but it doesnt stay running. It quits after a few seconds of applying settings.
Any other application out there like this?
Quits? Well this app is resident, so the app closes itself (no GUI) and only part stays in the memory. You can see a "!" in the up right corner.

Keyboard Buffer Delay

I'm having some kind of delay when using the virtual keyboard or regular keyboard. After I type I have to sit here and wait for the text to show up on the screen. It's driving me crazy. Can someone tell me how to fix this issue? Thanks!

Make sure you have nothing else running. Clear resources with task manager.

I tried all of those things and it might work ok for a couple of minutes and then starts again. It only seems to do it when I'm sending a text message. So, could it have something to do with GC Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.25? Is there a later version? Or, maybe I have a currupted version or something? Thanks.

Not sure. I notice this sometimes as well. I know Verizon has some keyboard fix on their site. Not sure what that is for. Someone else needs to chime in on that.
Yeah, this is becoming a really big problem for me and even making it almost impossible to use my phone anymore. I'm doing alot of text messages and after a while it's going too slow I can't even do anything without having to turn off the phone. This also seems to be the reason why I'm having problems sending the MMS messages. When this problem happens they can't recieve the MMS messages, but after I turn off the phone and turn it back on it works.
I noticed something else that's happening. Before I turn off the phone I go into Settings, System and then Task Manager to close any applications that are running. But one of the Task Manager Icons dissappears when this problem happens. There is two Task Managers. As soon as I turn my phone off and on again the other Task Manager icon that has dissappeared appears again. Is that helpful at all?
So, this problem is causing problems with my phone slowing down and causing a huge delay in typing, preventing me from sending MMS messages and making icons dissappear in the Settings. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks...

Should be under Accessibility. It is for me.
For me, the speech rate and driving mode are under Language and input, not Accessibility. Are you sure you're looking in the right place?
How odd, its not here for me..

I see. Thebiyani is a JB based ROM. I am on ICS. So it's a good chance things are located in different spots for us.
Try asking in the ROM thread.
I'm on the leaked lsj (not this rom) and for me its under accesability>services>talkback. Otherwise if you can't find you could always try going into titanium baackup (if you don't have this and flash custom roms you really should) and find talkback and then freeze it, however i'm not sure if this will cause any other issues
I've "no services installed" under services...
But i have found out why the phone started talking.
I downloaded the app No LED and apparently that makes the talkback start.. bit of a rubbish bug TBH but at least I found the problem... But I never did find the Talkback
thanks though for your responses

Stratos 3 problème bluetooth

I can no longer activate the bluetooth of the watch. Strangely, it is still connected to the phone and everything works, but I can no longer connect my headphones and my cardio belt. Has anyone come across this problem before. is there a solution ?
Merci
Firmware update 4.2.3.0 don't change anything

Same problem. I can't pair phone with watch when I want using unlocking phone with Bluetooth.
Same problem, when I try to activate Bluetooth to pair it with my earphones, it says "Activating Bluetooth" and then "Bluetooth deactivated"
Same problem here. Can't pair with heart rate sensor (4.2.4.0 version). I send a mail to Amazfit, awaiting reply,
Same here, please see https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/amazfit/amazfit-stratos-3-bluetooth-earphones-t4052503
Anyone knows how to fix this?

Can you please explain the steps? I'm unable to turn on wifi and therefore update the watch..
Hey,
i installed new update then tried to turn BT to check if it works now and it resulted in usual BT OFF, then i went to WiFi section, found my home network (had to type password in app) then i went back to bluetooth option and i was able to turn it on- i could find my HR belt in settings/accesories section of an activity.
edit, 02.04.2020:
today same problem as before- bluetooth keeps turning off

Hi,
Can you try these steps?
Go to system Settings in the smartwatch.
Under Settings, scroll down list and tap "About."
Under "About," scroll down to "Legal Statement."
Continuously tap on "Legal Statement" until "Lab" appears below it.
Tap on "Lab" and select "Signal Strength."
Tap "Start." A Pass or Fail message will appear once the test is complete.

I've just done the test and it passed OK.
However, enabling Wifi does not change Bluetooth behavior (still changes back to Disconnected)

I've tried the wifi connection trick, and it doesn't work.
Also, did the lab signal Strength test, and it says Fail. But I am able to connect to wifi, and to pair with the phone.

It seems we are experiencing similar and related issues. Mine connects to the phone (using Bluetooth) but Bluetooth doesn't turn on (for earphones, etc.) and my wifi doesn't capture any network.
Already tried to factory reset several times and anything I can think of. Any suggestion is welcomed to try to fix this.
I will contact the Amazfit support again

Just to clarify, although the strength test fails for wifi, I am able to connect to a wifi using setting > connection > wifi.
Looking forward to see what they say to do. They told that I should contact my retailer to claim the warranty.

Not really.. The Amazfit support is not helpful.
I have installed the newest firmware using the instrucions on this forum but didn't fix it.
Found several people with the same issue in the forum but no fix..
Both bluetooth and wifi are not working for me. But I am able to connect to the app.
Hello, i have the same problem, see below the amazfit support answer
