Maybe I'm being thick but...
I just upgraded my o2 xda fron PPC2002 v3.14 to WM2003 v 4.00.11 from jeff's kitchen and radio 4.21 from o2. Before the upgrade I could set auto-answer params on the phone for hands-free use. The option does not seem to be available under 4.00.11 (although it is covered in the hep). Any ideas?

Hi, I have problem with XDAII, VERSION GTEH 1.06.01 1.60.00. After call connection to gprs fall down. Please help. Thanks
Greetings one and all
A small problem but one that is driving me to distraction. I have a pair of Qtek 2020 on ROM 1.66.00WWE and they will not send MMS.
I have tryed all the configuration files I can find for Vodafone UK ..... no good.
I have tryed searching in the forums and have managed to upgrade my XDA 2 to imate 1.72.00WWE which will allow the MMS to function ok but no joy applying the same to the 2 Qteks
Thank you in advance
Paul
does it recieve them ok ?
Hi Rudegar
To be honest I havent tryed as the main requirement is sending to people with "ordinary" phones !
Would this prove anything, I know the SIM and subscription are ok because they work in my phone.
do "normal" phones even support mms ?
i know many dont
but my gf's nokia 3000 does even if it dont have a cam
i just sugested it as a way to see if it was the settings or the mms composer or the network or something else
have you tried doing a search in the forum to see if other people on vodaphone are having success ?
yes I have spent the best part of 2 days on and of I think it is a composer problem as once the upgrade was completed on my XDA 2 MMS was fine.
I just need to find a ROm image of 1.72 WWE for qtek if such a unicorn exists !
Is anyone else having a problem with this new application from O2 for the XDA II? When I send a fax from my device it disconnects the telephone connection and comes up with an error message "No dail tone detected"?
I have the same problem - I only share this so you know you're not alone.
Yup
Another peice of untested o2 sh%t.
You have to enable the fax service on your sim,
phone 100 and ask them
yes i had the same problem, you have to get fax/data enabled on your phone, they will give you a separate fax number.
my works fine without any problems.
addition to answers above:
1. This questions was allready answered elsewhere on the forum
2. It is by design that the phone app gets de-activated, because it locks the gsm h/w exclusively. It reconnects the phne app afterwards neatly. Nothing wrong with it, although MS could have incorporated fax in its original s/w design of WM2003.
3. It is not O2, it is KSE that build this. And I gues we have to thank them for enabling fax on the Himalaya.
KSE Truefax is unstable on Imate/XDA2. This is due to a bug in GSM firmware. Maybe 1.18 GSM ROM would be more stable.
Works fine with me ...
You have to activate the fax feature from your SIM Card Provider ...
Firstly thanks to Diamond for a fantastic job on the WM2003se rom. Runs perfectly on my XDA2, no hassle in set-up, and no conflicts with either Pocket Informant 2005 or PocketZen.
Next job is to get the O2 GPRS and WAP settings sorted.
Question about the XDA2i launch rom - would it work on my standard XDA2 (no plans to install)? -rv-
All,
I'm being driven crazy by a recalcitrant Orange M3100. I had my old one set up no problem with O2 but it got stolen so my friend gave me his old one. Now I cannot get mobile internet/MMS etc to work. When I try to connect I get the "there is a problem connecting to the GPRS service in your registered home network". This was the case with both Orange's WM5 and Shaps WM6.
I've studied all the posts on here and have installed a radio ROM that, apparently, should work but it still doesn't. I've tried about 6 but none of them solve the problem. Voice/SMS work fine as does WIFI. Current setup is as follows:
ROM: Schap's 4.31
ROM date: 10/03/07
Radio: 1.47.00.10
Protocol: 32.80.7020.20H
It's unlucked and HardSPL7 is installed.
If anyone could help me out I'd be really grateful!
I've recently set up my m3100 using o2 to receive mms,
following the settings on this website.
That was the only one that has worked for me.
http://www.m3w.co.uk/2006/11/o2-settings/
i don't know about internet, but mms works.
hope this helps
regards
Thanks Sniuk - will tag that for future reference. I've now just solved the problem and, ultimately, it was nothing to do with the phone. Despite me having asked *twice* O2 had failed to notice and remove the GPRS bar that was put in place along with all the other bars when my handset was stolen last week!!
They've given me some free line rental to apologise, though
