Help Upgrading XDAIIi

I recently purchased a Himalaya XDAIIi that is currently locked to O2. I want to use it in the US on TMobile. Can someone help get me started in upgrading the radio, OS, and the ROM. I have been reading all the different threads on the forum, but not sure what if anything will work on the XDAIIi or where to even start.
I am really new to the XDA scene, and would greatly appreciate any suggestions so I can start using this apparently awesome device.
Current stats:
ROM version: 1.10.00 WWE
ROM date: 12/24/04
Radio version: 1.00.00
Protocol version: 1337.39
ExtROM version: 1.10.124 WWE
Will upgrading the ROM unlock the phone?
Thanks in advance for any help.
To date I don't know of any rom upgrdes for this device, whilst there is one planned from O2 it has not been released yet
i think you mean unlocking and not upgrading/...
as far as unlocking go ..there are quite a few threads on this forum regarding that.. personally i used imei check .com..
as far as upgrading goes.. none exists as no upgrade rom has been released yet...
jump on the bandwagon.. were all waiting for it..
co-signing with Zohaer on imei-check. I found them to be excellent.

Thanks for the help. I guess I will get in line for waiting for upgrades. Unfortunately, since I am in the US, I'm not sure I will be able to take advantage of any released by O2. I guess I have to hope TMobile will pick up the XDAIIi at some point.
I will keep checking back if you come across any updates. I will give IMEI-check a look.
Have either of you upgraded to WM2005? Would that be a good idea? Sounds like its full of great features.

can anybody please tell me how to upgrade? where can i find/download these upgrades?
i'm a filipino based in jeddah, KSA.
your help will be highly appreciated.
thanks.
where u want to upgrade to? 1.72 , 2.06, 2.20, 1.50?
thank you for the reply.
the thing is, i'm not much familiar with these things.
so, it would also be much helpful if you can differentiate the one from the other, or even just suggest which one is best.
i just need, for now to be familiar with this PPC.
i am currently having problems regarding my bluetooth headset.
but if there's any other benefits for the upgrades, it would be nice.
also, if you can tell me if there's some specific software or program to use.
thank you again.
i hope to hear from you soon.
