Just to let you know that I am looking into this now. I am a newbie too and have found a way of viewing the extended rom but cant write to it yet.

There are lots of us who have flashed our M1000/XDA2 to SE on Orange UK. This link should help you:

It will give you a link for a UK extended ROM, then all you need is to pick a ROM version (2.02t is the best in my opinion!), make a folder with 2.02t files as well as the extended ROM, and run HimaUpgrade.exe. It will take about half an hour.

To whom upgraded to WM2003 SE.
What's the Ultimate SE ROM you used and you think that's the most stable one. I already upgraded to WM2003 SE the 2.06 but I didn't cook the Ultimate Extended_Rom.
Thus, I'm asking you in order to get the most stable device using the latest upgrades. Plz tell me what should I use bcz the merged one and the chinese I didn't try it yet but am looking for the easiest way to sort out a good ROM thus, I read and searched, but still I'm not convinced since the both english ROM are Beta....Waiting your answer.

Should choose an Asia rom or an Australia rom?
I bought a used XDA II on Ebay. How do I determine if I should try an Asia rom (like Philippine WM2003se xdall Upgrade xda2jojo ver3.0?) or a Austrailia rom (like Sin.Merged.v2.0?). Or is the "Genuine English WM2003 SE upgrade for Himalaya" the way to go? Should I use the versions linked in the forums or are there more current or better versions on the FTP site?
My carrier is Cingular in the U.S.

I'am a newbie here, especially with ROM upgrades... Recently, I have just upgraded my O2 XDAII from WM2003 t0 WM 5.0. After a few days of using WM 5.0, It's mass software incompatibility cools me off and I'm deciding to downgrade back to the ROM which I'm originally used.
So guys, is anyone of you has the original WM2003 ROM image from O2 for XDAII? If you have, please kindly provide me a link, so that I could download it.
Other than that, is anyone of you also have the original WM2003SE 2.20 CHS ROM image from O2 for XDAII, as well? If you have, please also kindly provide me the link, as well.
However, original WM2003 & WM2003SE ROMs from non O2 is also acceptable... But I think I would prefer the one originally for O2.

Which is the best ROM to use, for a Qtek 2020, I prefer the O2 Asia ROM, to my PDA2K ROM (blueangel), and was wondering if I should crossflash my mums himalaya to a new rom.
Also, is it worth upgrading to WM2005. Can someone help me please
