How can I write version of fw from one XDA2 to another?
I have qtech and it have problems. I find version that do not have that problem but there is no flash to do the same version. How can i write flash from one to another XDA2. Thank

Hello, i´ve got a MDA2 but i need the Software from XDA2. The Software i´ve got. From O2-online.de 26,9MB. But i can not install it because it is the wrong rom-image for my pocket pc and the country id is wrong. How can i install the xda2-software to my Mda2? I´m very happy when you can help me. There are at least two ways:
- you can edit the ROM image you want to flash so that it has the correct ID. This has been described in this forum extensively. Just search for "country id error". This method is fast, but a bit complicated.
- you can first flash the old 1.03 version, and then the newest O2 version. As far as I know, 1.03 performs no checks, so it can be flashed over everything, and everything can then be flashed over it. The version 1.03 can still be downloaded from the T-Mobile web site (the German version is here). This method is slower, but simpler.

Now a other question, the same by mda1 with software from xda1. How can i install the software from xda1 to a mda1? Sorry my english is not very well.

You should really search for the postings here. DCS has done a great job in putting down his painstaking effort in upgrading the ROMs.
I have merely put all the related postings in a common area so that lazy me can get it all in one area.... :wink:

I followed instruction to try for version upgrade.
But failed when I call latest upgrade exe as Language version is wrong.
so I couldn't upgrade
I don't mind to use English version (Except is Traditional Chinese version), please give me advice to do it.

Hi.
I've got Qtek 8500.
Radio is 4.1.13.17_02.32.31
ROM version is: 1.02.261.1
On xda ftp i've found this file: 'RUU_STAR100_3.6.251.0_02.67.30_QtekEUR_Ship.exe'. As far as i understand this is rom version 3.6.251.0 (vs my 1.02.261.1) and it's 'younger' than mine. Am i right?
Please, tell me, is this correct file to upgrade my ROM? And if it is not, that wich one is? I don't want to flash with rom from another vendor, just upgrade Qtek.

I'm now running the original but updatet T-Mobile version but i'd like to upgrade to WM6. unless it's her in german i'd like to have a possibility to downgrade again!
Can i just flash the old t-mobile files if i'm mad of rading english all day long??
Or will i need special rom to reflash WM5??

I'm now in TouchFlo 2.1 and i want back to wm 5.0 but i try the two uk rom,s and i get errors like ,you can't run this nbf ,try a newer one or update utility not for this device.What should i do???

I used the german AKU3.3 ROM and it showed 'Upgrade from V4.0.0.0 to V3.3.0.0'.
Maybe you have used an old AKU2.x ROM to downgrade?
And... try downgrading in bootloader mode (hold tape button while soft-reset until colored bars are shown, but you need different active-sync drivers for bootloader mode)
downgade problem
I succed to downdrade to germab t-mobile rom but i need a wwe rom ,i'm not familiar with german language,and the uk roms just don,t work .update error.
Once you upgraded to AKU 3.3 you cant go back to AKU2. The only thing that could help is flashing the prophet rom but it can be dangerous. Search the prophet section if you want to do it.

Hi everybody, just got my hd2 and it's a french version of wm, it's 3.14.163.3 (SFR), when i try to downgrade it with the RUU file 1.66.406.1 (french version 1.66), the program stops and tells me to verify the version of the rom...
So im wandering how can i downgrade to 1.66 so that i can have the lower spl version for installing NAND android. Any help?
