anybody tried an external battery ???? - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hi
I do have a number of unused but new phone-batteries and it would be cool to have an external battery of about 5Ah ;-)
I was wondering if somebody tried to connect a 3.7V battery to the bottom connector of the XDA ???
Is the 3.7 Volts enought to supply ( not to charge ) the XDA ???
I am curiouse to know...

Hi ChikCool,
I see this is your first post so welcome to the Xda-community. Your thread would have been better off posted in the accessories forum.
Oh!Srr I just didn't see this forum
Thread moved to Accessories.
I have the EP900 and it works fine. It seems like it takes longer to charge the battery than in the phone though.
Does the CBC-200 work like EP900???

Questions about voltage, battery, ma

I have 3 batteries :
2x 950 mAh + 1x 1150 mAh (all of them are 3.7v)
And I'm going to connect them together and make a portable recharge-able battery charger for my phone
My question is :
1. Can I charge them directly with computer USB port?
2. Can I charge my phone directly using these batteries ?
If not, what do I need?
Hmm, I think you may have to charge them seperately in your phone via USB, unless you can have the wires at the right ohms. Interesting idea though

1. No - Li-ion batteries have 3,7V and USB have 5V, second is Li-ion needs special charging control microprocessor - without it the can overcharge and explode, don't try it!!
2. No - you need an step-up circuit to get 5V on the output which is need to charge the phone.

ICOO D70PROII Dead - Maybe Battery problem?

Hello everyone!
My ICOO D70PROII tablet started to have some battery problems, like unstable battery % (e.g. 40% running and 7% after reboot or 40% running and 75% after reboot). Then a friend borrowed me the tablet, and he said me that it doesn't charge after he pluged it in a TV USB port.
The tablet only charged with Micro USB + Jack charger (I have an 10 in 1 charger) or a Nokia Micro USB cable, but wont charge with stock cable or any other cable.
The Mini HDMI port of tablet is broken, but that was in the beggining of it's life, so I suppose that it doesn't have anything about the problem.
Anyone knows some tests I can do, even with some garage tools? Maybe it's the battery, or the tablet suffered a discharge and it is dead?
Bump

[Q] external charger+extended battery(3500mAH)

Hello, i just bought this extended battery for my i777 and i was looking forward to use both the OEM 1650mAH and the extended one together. When one is out of juice use the other while it is being charged in an external charger...and vice versa.
Will the i9100 extended battery work with i777?
Will this external charger work fine???
how do i connect the battery with the pins on the charger???
How will the charging time vary for both 3500mah and 1650 mah battery with the external charger???
i want to avoid plugging my s2 as often as possible to the ac directly in fear of damaging my new usb flex cable.

An i9100 battery will not work with the i777 battery as it needs 4 contacts (the 4th one is for NFC). Here is the source: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286746 and read post #5.
