It sounds like your Radio band got changed some how, so see it you can change it back from the boatloader.
To enter the bootloader hold the power button and soft reset. Once you're in bootloader mode press the Calendar button. HTH
My Phone still doesnt work
I tried going into the bootloader and assighned the band to 1900. No luck.
Where can I get the old T mobile radio stack so that I can restore my baby the way it used to be?

You can get the original T-Mobile from the below site:
http://www.t-mobile.com/products/handhelds/pocketpc/downloads.asp
But if I were you I'd go with the T-Mobile WM2003 Test ROM the below site.

Also you can find the nk.nbf here if you want to do an SD card install.

Sorry for probably being a typical newbie but I have just had my o2 XDAii unlocked which works great but I have lost all of my o2 goodies like camera/mms/sms/wap/profiles etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction with regards to restoring these. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks. :?
Unlocking shouldnt do that, if you remove the battery it should put it back to factory settings.
Thanks for the reply. It was unlocked for me by a friend (mobile shop owner) not using software from here. I have tried the battery but still no joy. Any ideas how I can get all my o2 features back? Cheers
ok, have you tried pushing the stylus in the reset hole at the base of the xda2 while holding down the power switch, this is a hard reset so you will lose all your data unless you backup first.
You am de man!!!!!
I have had an Ipaq for 2 years and never thought of doing a hard reset......Doh!
Cheers mate and thanks for the quick responses.
I am once again a happy xdaii user.
Ps. What are the best upgrades to perform on this machine cause I am just getting my head around all this firmware/radio version stuff :?:
Personally I am waiting for the O2 official upgrade. I dont wish to knacker my new machine just yet.
re unlocked xda2
if your phone has gone back to factory standard... as in ... useless... goto storage and find the file backup. its hidden somewhere.... double click that and the xda2 ought to return to normal with all functionality.

lost all my functionality after hard reset
I did a hard reset on my xda 2 and have lost the camera, mms and most of the great things on the xda2. I tried to find that backup file but with no luck.
Please can someone help me get this thing functioning properly.
Thanks

please help, ive upgraded the rom from the o2 website and it has lost all the O2 software on the phone (which may not be a bad thing) but it has lost all the pre installed connection settings for the internet.
any ideas how to solve this or reset it back to its original rom settings
cheers guys
dazza
A hard reset should restore the settings, I dont understand why the settings are missing, did it go through the auto configuration routine where you choose your country and gsm/gprs prepay etc.?
Hi Dazza,
Mine did the same. I just have "USB v1.01" on the screen whilst it's in its USB cradle. If I take it out it displays "Serial v1.01". Pushing the Hard Reset buttons, and even removing the Battery just results in the same display.
Have you resolved it yet please?
Desperately yours,
Andy
It's mean you have fail to upgrade your Xda II ROM. Anda the ROM have been formated. You can put the Xda in the cradle, and run the original ROm 1.60.44. Good luck!
I am changing cell provider from tomorrow, so I will need to do a hard reset and do everything from ground up again. So is there anything coming the next days that I should know about, so I can do a ROM upgrade at the same time? If not, it'll be my first pure hard reset without a ROM upgrade as long as I have had the Atom, I think.

all that you need - change SIM!
Nope. All new servers on everything, and I have tried just canging the servers without doing a hard reset on a pre-setup PPC phone before. Didn't get reliable until I did a hard reset.
Also I'm on the Exec ROM, so I have to flash back to the regular Atom ROM to get rid of the wavy lines problem that will hit me when I take out the battery to change the SIM.
Hello all, have unlocked my xda2 from o2, have now got a Vodafone sim in it. have formatted it back to blank, so no O2 software installed, but i now appear to be missing a lot of the software i.e camera, etc which must have been part of the o2 software bundle auto-install. does anyone know of a place where i can get hold of the software from Vodafone's smart phone to install instead (complete with all the vodafone realted products/links etc)?
many thanks,
Pete
or, failing that, just some camera software, as this has completely gone.... any help greatly appreciated!
Doesn;t sond right to me at all.
If I were you I would look up Lumpui Stefan and get yourself a new ROM
