If you don't use Cleartype, no problem.
But if you use Cleartype, don't even dare consider flashing to Orange ROM.
The Cleartype implementation is unusable, and the reason why I flashed back after best part of ten minutes trying to ignore it...
thanks for the reply, could you give me a starting point, i'm new to all of this, been doing some reading. Did you just get the orange rom then use xdatools to flash it ? also been reading that you can change the cab files in the extended rom, maybe you can stick this cleartype on, dont know what cleartype is never used it.. will check it out

Hi,
Is it possible to remove the O2 logo from the top title bar on my XDA II. It appears between the Start menu header and the Signal Strength meter.
I have two reason for wanting to do this - the first is it appears over the top of any program name that is too long to fit between it and the Windows logo. The second and most important is that I can not stand O2 :x . I have just managed to get out of my contract - due to them not being able to sort a problem I was having - they had been trying for 15 weeks !!!
I am now using my Orange sim in it.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Many thanks
PS great forums guys
o2 logo.
Me to!
Not sure how to do it,or if possible.Any ideas anyone? Thanks.
Uninstall all the o2 software (v2ractive or summat) Cause its crap and you dont need it! then delete the directorys the remove programs program tells u it couldnt delete then reset ya device simple! I did it cause the o2 software is a pile of smelly pants
Cheers.
Worked like a dream. Now all I need is an MV1000 case to replace the O2 one

hey guys, i´m new with my i-mate jasjam that i picked up with telstra and i have some questions that probably will sound very stupid, but i wonder if anyone can enlighten me
1) i hate the telstra screen when i turn on the phone, i hate the telstra menus, i hate every single little trace of telstra in my phone. the hard reset wont remove these i figure. is there anyway all this can be removed by upgrading the windows mobile version (i use wm 5 os 5.1.195). maybe install windows mobile 6. the thing is, i want my mobile clean, fresh start, no telstra stuff on it. is it possible? im not in australia anymore (im in back home in brazil) and its getting on my nerves these pre installed telstra crap!
2) tried to download skype for my jasjam and it doesnt install (maybe is some telstra lock or something? is this the CID lock?
thanks guys. remember, im a newbie!

Hi all
I've had it with my v1605, which is sad, as its a rocking pda.
But I can't stand the up-n-down stability, especially the touchscreen dropouts. I dont want to totally give up tho, will be sending back to Vodafone for repairs.
Wondering if you can help me tho - I need the original v1605 rom, coz I flashed it with black satin hoping that might sort things out, but no. SO I can send it back in semi-original order, does anyone know how to get the current/old v1605 original ROM?
thanks loads for reading this, hope you can help

Hi,
I have a Jasjam which is getting NoGSM errors. I believe this may be causing my hanging issues that I've been having a lot of.
I've had a look at the Wiki page on this, and a couple of things aren't very clear.
I'm currently running Bootloader SPL-1.10, and it says to go back to 1.04. Can I change to SPL-2.10Oli to do this as well (I guess this is easier).
Also, after this step, it says to Flash the patched radio to simunlock my jasjam, however it is already simunlocked.
I just wanted to clarify these things before giving this a go, so if anybody can enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated, as it is really starting to get to me.
Thanks for your help.

NoGSM Error in Jasjam - clarification of wiki
Just wanted to change the title...
Just wanted to bump this to see if anybody can help me out. I'm still having NoGSM problems, have tried the fix on the Wiki, but things aren't completely clear, as so far it hasn't made any difference.
Sorry mate, probably because no-one HAS a surefire method to fix the "No GSM" problem. Lots of people claim that something fixed it but they seem to keep popping up in the threads still trying to fix their problem. You might have to just try everything until you either give up or something noticeably improves or someone pulls the answer out of thin air.. We all live under the threat of "No GSM" and dread the day if/when it will finally arrive... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you can shoot me til your hearts content.
Cheers...
Thanks for that, so pretty much I should keep on trying to flash different radios until I find one that sticks around for a while?
Would try to flash a stock rom 1st. What Telco are you with? Use their "Official"rom and see if that works. THEN go nus trying radio only roms. Chances are though that if you can't flash 1 radio rom your radio has been corrupted and is unrecoverable.
Good Luck

Hi, I've got a Jasjam (so therefore it's a Telstra phone). I've gone from the official rom to unofficial roms and back again. I've installed individual radio roms. Most things go onto the phone fine, and it will work perfectly for maybe half a day, and then it crashes, and when I restart I get NoGSM. I might reset it 5 times, and then the radio will come back.
I bought it on ebay, but I've managed to get hold of the details to get a duplicate invoice, so I've put the phone back onto Telstra ROM and a standard SPL, and I'm going to get them to have a look at it, as it looks as though it's a hardware problem, unless any of you smart bods here have other ideas...
Can anybody shed any extra light before I take it into the shop? Just don't want to admit defeat if I can
If you can, the best way to fix is through warranty. If they try to fix 3 times and fail they have to give you a new handset. I believe Telstra no longer have the jasjams so you might be upgraded to the Tytn II.
Cheers....
Still struggling with an unlocked HD2 (ex 02) and using Virgin
I thought that I would put the 3.14 HTC ROM onto it and clean off the 02 version.
Will this remove the splash screen and also remove the 02 lock on the apn settings?
Completely new tro this and apologise if this is really silly
Only way to put 3.14 onto your phone is using goldcard. Any other way will give low ram and unstable phone.
Yes it will work fine.
Thanks for that info. Huge learning curve for these things.
