Hi there, can anyone tell me what currently is the best radio stack for the xdaII/mdaII/qtek2020? Now i have 1.14, but i am wondering if the older stacks are maybe better in reception or in other things. So please enlighten me.
greetings,
Ruben

Hello everybody.
As this is my first post here, I want to thank all of you for the great source of inspiration this site gives!
After reading a lot about newer ROM Versions here, I am a bit confused what I can / should flash my MDA2 to.
The reason for my desire to change my software version is, that I'm unlucky with the bad Bluetooth support my current Radio Stack offers.
The Bluetooth Tools are no real answer, neither - because it sucks my battery out in the worst kind of way. (Bluetooth always activating after every call I make, having to deactivate Bluetooth manually, other weird dysfunctional diseases like irresponsive behaviour
I read here, that there is currently no 1.72 ROM available for german devices. So, to specify my question, what newer version then 1.60.07 can I upgrade my MDA 2 to - and, will it bring sort of releave to my Bluetooth pains?
Many thx in advance,
Andy.
EDIT:
I just installed the 1.72 ROM and got rid of my Bluetooth probs. Unfornatunately, my MDA2 speaks English with me now (suprise, suprise *lol*).
Not that I had a problem with that, but it would be nicer if there was a way to only use the Radio Stack from 1.72 in conjunction with the old T-Mobile 1.60.07 ROM.
Is there anyone who can comment on that?
Andy.
Hi all,
does anyone here has got a new version of the radio?I mean more and maybe improved than the 1.51.00.10... any way to get a better/newer one?
Seems to be the latest one. And 1.50 and 1.47 work great. Better, actually.
Can I put the radio ..in HERMES... to strengthen the level of transmission network ...
Thank 4 All
yes, check the wiki for radio roms. make sure phone has hard hard spl installed & PLEASE for the love of your hermes
READ...........
thanx....
But,I want to stronger than the network level .. What is the solution???
Depending where you are in the world depends what radio rom will work best for you. You CANT get better than what the network puts out as this is the maximum level. You need to tell us WHERE you are and see what anyone else from that region finds is the best radio. Each radio rom has pros and cons depending on where you are at and how your network interacts with your rom. Do some reading on the wiki to find out about issues people are having with some radios as people are losing their phone functionality and the radio roms are suspected. Happy hunting.......
We need a newer and better radio for the Athena. Currently using the 1.57 and it is ok, but my kaiser (which has many choices for radio) always gets a better GSM and Wcdma signal than the Athena.
I believe the 1.57 is a x7510 radio. I wonder when they actually are released, will they ship with a better radio or will more be available once the carriers get them?
The kaiser seems to be able to use radio from several devices. Does anyone know if there are any newer Athena radios in the future?
1.57 is the best now.
Can we put 1.57 in an old X7500 (with currently 1.38) ?

I cannot find a link for download 1.57, could you post please....
1.57 is the latest you tit.
besides, the Kaiser is an MSM7200 and hence a totally new firmware base, don't compare the two.
Oli, thanks for the put down. Do you ever answer a post without telling the poster he is an ass, tit, wanker or ****wad. Was not comparing the two, just the fact that it has more radios available.
Where and How can I install this? Is it possible that it could cure my BT problem where I get no audio from my x7501 (currently 1.47 radio)
for a discription of the problem see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384507

Doubt it will fix your problem, but here is the thread for the 1.57 radio

is there any radio roms that are good? ..in terms of GSM signals
I have tried them all but never noticed any difference.
It doesn't take too long to try them, and no data should be lost, so why don't you try them and find out?
hey guys..i'm using 818 pro..and i noticed that it does'nt have any radio launcher.do u think that if i downloaded the roms it will allow me to isten to the radio station??and if so..could u give me the link..thanks!!
a radio station? FM radio? mmm i dont think dopod 818 pro have fm tuner.. that radio roms doesnt mean an FM Radio. CMIIW
.................
i explain a little bit....
radio, doesnt mean only that little blackbox which recieve broadcasts..
radio,means signal,or...yea..some kind like that..
radio rom controls everything that is related to signals,receivers...blah3...
GSM,bluetooh,WIFI for instance
In my opinion, the best one is 2.19.21. I have the least amount of "missed calls" with this version. The phone always misses calls without notification with any of the newer roms...
That's my experience at least and I've been flashing extensively for over 1 year.
oh..i use 2.61.21
so far so good,no battery drain problems...very nice..
thanks for the advice anyways
