My PC crushed during ROM update at 22% and i can no longer get the Active syn to work. hnce, PDA is dead! How do I get the Active sync to work or I can I update the ROM using SD card. Do I need bootloader and how do I load ROM files on to the SD card. Instruction or pointers is much appreciated. Thanks
Reset your device to the boot loader (press Power button + joypad button + reset to boot into the boot loader screen).
Then connect your device to your PC, do not worry about ActiveSync, your device will be connected. Then start the upgrade and you should be okay to upgrade now.

Ok so heres an update of what I have managed to do so far:
1.) I ran a file called titan_SPL_2.40-olipro.exe
~This seemed to kick me into a "Rainbow" screen. So at this point the program told me it was done, but not matter how many time I reset it I came back to the rainbow screen. So at this point I
2.) Ran a file called titan_radio_3.27.00.exe
~This file was required for the DCD2.3.2-Alltell.exe file, so I ran the radio file. All went well till it tried to reboot. Now all I get to is a splash screen that says Alltel. The first screen that says HTC does recognize the radio as being 3.27.
So I search and search and I then tried to famous MicroSD bootloader trick. So I take the nbh file out of the firmware installer that I was going to install, rename it to TITAIMG.nbh, I format my SD card as Fat32, I copy the file over to the SD card. I put the SD card in, I hold the record and power button down and press reset... then nothing. Just a black screen. I would like to note that while its at this black screen and I plug in the USB cable to my computer, the computer sees it as a data connection.
I'm so lost on this. All I want to have in the end of this is a working Alltel phone with GPS, so that I can use Tomtom 6 to use this $549 PPC as a GPS device.
Thank you ahead of time.

Wow I am so stupid... I was holding the Voice Command button and the power button, when I should have been pressing the Camera and Power button. LOL
Heres where I found my solution: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=17909&page=2
and in case it gets taken down:
Found a solution. This is needs to be done once you load the DcD rom 2.3. Your phone will freeze at the splash scree. Follow the steps below to get the boot loader screen back up. Your computer will then see your phone. DONT RUN HARD-SPL... Run the RRU radio instead. Windows mobile should start right up after the auto soft reset.
Steps For Install:
1. put phone in boot loader mode can do so by holding in power button and camera button at the same time while pressing in soft rest button
2. run the unlocker and follow the on screen instructions
3. then flash phone with rom of your choice, phone will reboot and be stuck at splash screen put phone back into boot loader mode
4. then run the radio upgrade and follow on screen instructions and you should be all set
Deleted, seen that you solved it.
hi, ive install the new energy ROm but forgot to install the radio 2.xx.50.xx. now i want to do it but CAB via activesync is not working...
any suggestions?
Btw i have windows 7...
Should i install smthg form microsoft?
All you have to do is download the radio you want right click on the zip file and click extract and choose the location you want to extract it to (I suggest your desktop for easy access). While your phone is off hold the volume down button down button and tap the power button but keep the volume down button held down until you see the tri color bootloader screen. Then plug your HD2 into your computer via USB cable and wait until you see the serial in the bottom white bar of tbe bootloader screen to change to USB and then flash the Radio. You can go to the Radio thread stickied in the Windows Mobile Rom develoment forum. Here is a link.
thks will try.....
Help!
Ive got a samsung galaxy s2 - originally it was on the UK Orange network, but since then I have flashed it with a different European firmware (unsure which one).
The screen has cracked therefore I can not use the touch screen at all.
I can not see anything on the screen except the battery level.
I need to take the data off it (pictures, vdeos etc.) which are stored on the phones internal memory.
When I connect it to my windows xp PC, it comes up in My Computer but when I try opening it it shows nothing.
I think this is because I need to unlock the screen (4 digit pin).
When I connect it to Kies, it says I need to enter the screen unlock code - But I can not due to the screen being cracked.
Only the hardware buttons work.
Is there a way I can connect the phone to my PC and get the data off?
I need somesort of app that will allow me to mimic/display the phone screen on my PC so that I can enter this screen unlock code to get into the phone.
Or can I do a refresh (restore factory setting/clear operating system) at boot up so that when it does eventually boot up into the welcome/set up screens, I can connect it to my PC to transfer the data off?
Can someone please help?
maybe you could connect mass storage in CWM ? assuming that you have CWM.

please mention as to wat rom are u on
and also if u r rooted nd stuff
If your rooted boot into recovery..
Usually press power and volume down button
Select recovery from menu, Goto mounts n storage and toggle USB connection.. (use volume keys to navigate and power button to select)
Make sure sdcard setting is set to mounted.. I think sdcard is actually set for the internal storage on these phones.. and the actual SD card is set as external storage..

ADB is the only way
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
you can send me to a private message, I can show you how to install a vnc server, perhaps from the pc side, assume you have debug enabled your phone. Then you should be able to view and control your phone.
If anyone is stuck with a black screen and unable to get into ace i download mode here is the way to fix it.
Install Cygwin-Odin, connect the ace via usb without battery inserted, hold vol- power plus home buttons then quickly insert battery before the pc starts the phone via usb. Its a little tricky but keep trying untill odin recognises the phone and the drivers install. As long as the Ace i comes on and the backlight is there with the black screen and you keep at it you ll get there. Hope this helps.:good:
p.s. if Odin doesnt find the device, take the battery out and disconnect the Ace i from the usb and start again. Wont work if you dont. :good:
