as per topic, i can use my ppc as a pc but not at all as a phone, and i d/l'd WM2003SE under the himalaya section of buzzdev.net and yet still no go, i have tried various ways short of obtaining my old 2003 (non-se)
im going crazy, so many little error's i've gone through lately and gotten over most so far, but my radio rom and being unable to upgrade/ downgrade/ flash modify at all, i don't know why, i cant connect to the ppc via activesync so i can't use getverdata or whatever app it is... in simple words i need help with my radio rom, how can i def. edit it, cause iwth hima upgrade i can't seem to.get it working.. boh i dunno it's sending me crazy
Which Himalaya model do you have?
i have an O2 XDAII, just the normal version, not XDA IIi, not XDAII mini or XDAIIs
i've fixed my OS to WM2005 BUT can't seem to fix and keep getting error 114 (radio rom upgrade error) which im currently trying to overcome.
Also, could it be something with my bootloader, i only run 1.02 or something (will change later if i'm wrong, but i dont think i am, currently trying another flash atm)
do i need a new bootloader, or should i not bother trying cause this probably wouldnt help fixing my problem?

Sounds like a major problem. I haven't tried restoring the bootloader from an SD card so I couldn't give you any direct advice. I'm sure someone with the expertise will be able to help you further.
Downgrading may help but I haven't done this before either.

Your Radio ROM chip is probably faulty.
Had the same problem (read here)

I have problem here. after i upgrade my rom from german O2 OS to UK o2 OS. My screen keyboard doesnt shows. Here is the following steps that i did to upgrade:
1. device installed with Germany O2 operating system.
2. upgraded to QTEK 2020 OS, with Croations telecom settings.
3. Upgraded again to UK O2 OS.
after the successful installation, i have no problem with the keyboard. It functions normally. but after i install a few games, dictionary and some add-ons program. The keyboard doesnt appear. i cant write any letter, using keyboard, letter recognizer or block recognizer. Moreover, i cant start any program from the program folder.
Can anyone help me with my problem? What actually happens to my system? is there anything to do with the OS or the program that i have installed on my xda?

have you try to soft reset your device??? if it cant solve the problem, try to hardreset device n install back your applications and games...
I have done it twice. and i encountered the same problem.
can this because of the program, that i have installed on my PPC is not compatible to the ROM that is present?
probably thats the problem...you can try to take a hard reset your device..
if you still encountered the same problem after hard reset, please let me know :lol: :lol:

i have tried hard reset my PPC a few times. and i encountered e same problem. in fact, i have tried to reinstall the windows mobile again. but the problem not seems to be solved...
Now only i figured out, actually the problem occurs, when i took off my battery to change the sim card, or i soft reset the system. Once i got it restarted, it will not start any program, the on screen keyboard and other writings program.
now i am trying to install back to the german rom. is this problem caused by the 1st rom from qtek with croation's settings, that i have installed on my system??

I try to install phonePad Internation for get T9 Italian dictionary in my prophet, but after softreset I'm unable to activate this (I see PhonePad in input method list but when I press on it nothing occurs).Why?

I have the same problem with many of WM6 roms, and i can't seem to find what is causing this problem.. Any one know anything of this problem ?
try a soft reset. ive got this prob too and now its ok. i think its a memory problem.
Software Reset does not help for me.. The only thing that has worked for me yet is to re install.. Then it will work for around 3 - 4 uses and then the problem begins again..
is it memory? I had similar problems, and changing the page pool worked for me.
I'm a bit monged right now, so I can't even remember which size is which.
Try 12meg page pool(or if I got it the wrong way round try 4 )
There's stuff on this site, and probably on the wiki, explaining which is which.
hi, guys.
I replaced my jasjam board with a herm100 (orange) one.
I tried to install my arabizer then it always said "can not run on this device".
I replaced the rom several times with several versions but still have the same problem, I think the problem is with imei so that the arabizer detect that it is not an imate device then refused to work.

my dopod 818 pro(htc prophet g4) can't power on.
i need help to find the way to repair it.
i've looking in many pda forum, they talk about rewrite/reprogram the bootloader(i can't enter into bootloader mode).
they use something about jtag programmer, could anybody tell me how to use that thing(i'm newbi).
or is there anyway else to fix my problem???

I was trying to upgrade my dopod 818 pro ROM version, but unfortunatly my connect breaked in the mid of process, due to that lost everything, even my previos OS too. and now i am unable to restart my mobile.whenever i am trying to on it, its showing only DOPOD on the disply may u plzz help me to recover my old settings?? i had already done the hard resett, but Result is NILL...

try reflash with the official rom
