Do I still need to install checknotifications and clearnotify after upgrade my xda2 to 2003SE?

I use Checknotifications for my O2 XDA II with WM2003se
Ngek!! its a waste of time.. you should remove it when you r using SE
Very strange because I have the Qtek 2020 with the mystery Man ROM and I still get the duplicates in the NotifyQueue and with scarrybear software clearnotify in the starup does NOT remove the duplicate AND with check notify by the same author does NOT remove the duplicate either... what do you think is causing the problem?

Just like to find out is there any way to remove those recent programs at "START" .
One more qns , after upgrading to 2003se , 2.06
When I add a Midi file to Windows/Rings and set as ring tone , it won't work :? It used to work when I'm using 1.72

1)Try tweaks2k2 ver 3.0. It shall do the job u want.

tweaks 2k2 doesn't work on the 2.20 chinese rom. I did find that by deleting the reg key HKCU-Software-Microsoft-Shell-Taskswitch the list is cleared. Could somebody maybe make a CAB file for this so I can put it in the startup folder ? Don't know if it will work but I'd like to try.
I have the 2.20.07CHS ROM installed but I found some strange folders and the font letters are outside the display (in some screens).
Anyone have the 2.20.07 WWE?
I can't find it...

Your version is translated from Chinese. Due to the fact that its NOT 100% translated you'll get those strange looking folders/boxes/fonts which are actually in Chinese if you've a Chinese software installed to see them.

I like the Media Player 10 but I hate that chinese characters appearing all the time.
why dont you try the 2k5.. it does have the wm10 and got alot of changes (*better in my opinion, still have some bugs on hardware/soft) but its only minor for me..

I have tryed the WM2005 but seems to me that is a buggy OS.

hmm.. not for my experience.. my 2k5 is loaded with programs... and works brilliant.

It is possible to fix those problem by a patch.
those "strange folders" are "Start menu", "Startup", "Favourate" and "Program" in \windows
You can change those folder to its english name however you must find them in registry and change them too.
some registry need to be translated such as :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\ConnMgr\Destinations]
you can guss they are "Internet settings" from "Internet ??" etc
Issue of font size can be fixed in
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\FontLink\SystemLink]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\SYSFNT]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\GDI\V1\FontAlias]
However i doubt there is anyone still interested in this version.
I dislike some bugs of it which I don't know solution.
such as taping connection icon will lead to hang up if flight mode is on.
I like some program in this CHS extrom such as battery indicator and that flight game.

I am just wondering, does anyone know where to find the 2.20 ROM file? Either in Chinese or English?

My cousin just bought an Acer PDA with the wm2003se 2.20.07 wwe. How can the rom be extracted from the pda. If that can be done I may be able to post it here.

i don't think that acer has windows mobile 2003 se PHONE EDITION and nobody can take rom from one device to another (not even from alpine to himalaya) so it would be useless

That's it! I'm trying WM5 again (since two weeks ago).
ROM 1.60a is great and I recommend it to everybody.
This version just lacking one thing: a 32MB permanent storage (it have 2x16MB now).
hi all,im trying to upgrade my XDA II from 2.06 to 2.20 but I am showing no extended rom after upgrading to 2003se all my o2 software has disappeared and I have no camera software anymore. Did I do something wrong? after upgrading,hard reset and my PDA "freezing"!!! if i soft reset again its normally but there's no EXTENDED ROM.....if i upgrade again...still the same.......please help me.................

Then using for awhile like 2 weeks
And the hang came, hang made can't switch on for few times
After I can turn on my Atom then I use Bootloader flash to
XDA ATOM WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE (8MB PAGEPOOL) -- jiggs
Hang still here

XDA ATOM WM6 AKU0.7.0 WWE (6MB PAGEPOOL) -- jiggs
Hang again ~_~ , can't turn on my mobile again, so i need to wait until i can turn on again
So I am asking how come I got the hang

try to remove the battery, hard reset. then after a while reflash WM6 AKU 0.30 again the fix one.

Bring it to the O2 Service Center in your country. Hanging regardless of OS version is usually a symptom of motherboard defect. Ready your proof of purchase to be able to avail of the warranty.

how ru all, must be fine,if not u wil be fine.i have been searching for any new good rom for my o2 xda atom. i already upgraded my xda atom from wm5 to wm6 professional (aku .7). so i now i want to upgrade to some new version experts and others, to wm6.1 . PDAVIET is somewat unstable for o2 xda atom sometimes my bootscreen changes it colours or its size changes.so which new rom is better for me.and one more question is this all pdaviet versions are safe as it is not the genuine ones .i donnu exactly abot this versions but i thnk these are just modified version.i dunno i am right or wrong but i dont understand these versions.and i am confused with these lots of roms.i am facing probs in this.so exxxperts please help with this .if u have any easy modding imate jam wm6 please provide the links..thnks in advance freinds.
Hey Friend, Im Abhilash, I just gotta tell ya that I too have an xda atom.
And guess what i bought it as a second hand phone as i am not a rich guy.
And you know what, when i got the atom it had no phone on or off option.
The sim detector was not functional. it trie typing *#06# to see the imei no,
it says wireless radio not installed. so i thought that if i install a wm6 rom update it would work. well GUESS AGAIN it went through all the process and
hung up at burn radio stack and it shows burnin radio stack o% in the pc screen. i dont know what to do. when i put the battery it shows upgrade utility. im stuck.... helllpppMEEEE.
if i use mini sd card, what are the steps? what files must be present in the minisd card? when i insert the card, what button am i supposed to press to boot from the minisd card. im a new guy here i dont know how to post a thread. please give me email ids of u and ur friends pleeeaaaasseeeeeeee.

i brought my xda atom to a technician to bring back my dead xda atom using jtag. it was a successful but the problem is, he's having a problem in the radio rom... my xda atom is now alive but we cannot insert a sim card coz of the said problem... any idea to help us? thanks.
