XDA II Update failed and now there is just a Splash Screen.. - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 ROM Development

Hi folks,
I just tested some ROMs with WM2003SE and now my XDA II just shows the Splash Screen. There is no help with Hard Reset, Soft Reset or even with putting the battery for 30 min. out of the XDA II.
What can I do? What is now wrong with my XDA II?

Does this happen while doing the upgrade? after the compleate upgrade?
If while doing the upgrade, Did you try to put the PPC on the cradel again and restart the upgrade?

DEAD AFTER UPGRADE! S.O.S. HELP!!! MAYDAY!!!

I've just tried to upgrade my 2 day old XDA II to 1.60.50 and all I have on the grey, non-backlit screen is "USB v1.01". Please can anyone help?
Desperately yours,
Andy
Can you attempt the upload again and see if it helps, or does it no longer connect?
Well.... after rebooting the PC twice, leaving the battery out of the XDA for 20 minutes, and repeatedly (about 10 times) trying to perform the upgrade, it eventually did it perfectly in one pass. It took about 1.5 hours, and the XDA is now working fine. Even the ActiveSync files restored.
THANKYOU FOR THE PROMPT REPLY-I REALLY WAS SWEATING THERE FOR A WHILE!!!
It's a relief to know that there are people out there who will help. I won't be so keen to try this sort of thing again though. What would you recommend I do/purchase to provide a safety net in case it happens terminally again?
Many thanks again,
Andy

Is my XDA 1 fried?

help me, my xda wont display anything on it's screen even the wallaby wont appear though it's power is on.What might be the cause of the problem?
thanks in advance...
what happened with it? did you drop it? installed an app, went swimming, etc? have you done a hard reset already?
sunny side up...
fried xda
I just upgraded it to from xda special rom 1.2 to ppc2003, then the upgrade didn't complete because of some conflict on the process so I did a hard reset and presto the bootloader keep on appearing and doesn't boot on the OS, then after that I made a soft reset, after that the even the wallaby didn't appear anymore...is it already dead?or can I still reprogram the wallaby?plss helllp.
a million thanks....
cant you make it enter the bootloader ?
fried xda
I can't enter the bootloader
you may need to do a couple of hard resets. i don't think your unit is fried; just got stuck while going through the upgrade. a lot of chaps had to do a bunch of hard resets until the unit brings itself back to bootloader...this was for both xda1 and 2 i believe...just keep on hard reseting the unit. it should go back to bootloader eventually.
once that's done cradle back the unit and rerun the upgrade. oh btw; when you recradle don't expect activesync to show any indication that it's working or recognizes your device. just cradle it back and click on your upgrade file. with luck it should go through.
good luck
tnx a lot, but how can I know if my unit is already fried?
a zillion tnx
as long as the unit shows some signs of life it's still ok. when i upgraded to 2003se my unit got stuck w/the screen saying serial 1.something. only after like 2 hard resets did it go back to bootloader. in your case it should still be fine. if all else fails...well maybe it IS fried and it's an excuse to upgrade the unit itself

I forgot to tell that my son accidentally removed the Memory card while I'm flashing, would that fried the unit?

Version 5.3 locks up XDA II?

just upgraded to 5.3 from earlier version 5.2. After I have soft reset my XDA II, it re-started but stayed on the owner information screen. I soft reset numerous time but everytime it would not go pass the owner information screen. Pressing any hardware keys had no effect. At the end I had to hard reset.
Anyone has the same problem?

[Q] Help with Tytn II operator splash screen

Hi Everyone,
Firstly apologies as I know there are loads of threads regarding this and I've spent all week trawling what feels like every one of them but still not found a solution.
I've got an HTC Tytn II that has a very very annoying Vodafone splash screen when it starts up! I've run the hard spl , reflashed the ROM all of which worked and still can't get rid of the ruddy thing screen on startup. I've tried using POF's app that's posted here but my PC picks it as a virus so that's not helped.
Any ideas as I'm at my wits end!!!!
Cheers
